Chapter 405 - Be Careful Someone Calls You a Creepy Uncle

Qin Fen nodded in agreement. "Brother Wang is right; if you're buying for investment, location matters even more. We really need to take a good look."

Jiang Cheng nodded in agreement with their suggestions.

Before deciding to buy, he'd had just over twelve billion in cash flow, but after a round of playing Tesla, his cash flow now stood at eighteen billion.

When he mentioned to Theodore that he wanted to view the properties on-site, Theodore immediately nodded and said he'd personally take Jiang Cheng there.

Within minutes Theodore had arranged an MPV and personally escorted Jiang Cheng to view the designated listings.

They started with the shopping district nearby.

Once they reached the property, Alidor launched into an enthusiastic, professional introduction for Jiang Cheng and the others.

His presentation, description, and sales pitch were all seasoned and polished.

The key point was that he showed none of the airs of a CEO, enthusiastically explaining things as he walked alongside them like an ordinary estate agent.

Listening, Jiang Cheng couldn't help saying, "President Alidor, you're so familiar with selling and describing properties that, if not for your expensive suit and watch, I'd swear you were just a regular agent."

Alidor laughed heartily. "To tell you the truth, my first job after stepping into society was as an ordinary estate agent. From a small employee earning a few hundred pounds to founding this company took me over ten years. Since establishing the firm, I haven't personally sold a property in years. Honestly, picking it up again today makes me a bit nervous."

Jiang Cheng was rather surprised to hear this.

He hadn't expected Theodore to be a self-made man.

For someone without backing to build such a large agency and even gain entry to last night's club, Theodore was truly remarkable among ordinary people without system support.

Watching his modest words and behavior, Jiang Cheng felt his success was well deserved.

With respect Jiang Cheng said, "I didn't know you had such an inspiring story; it's my honor to have you personally introduce properties to me."

"I should thank you for letting me relive those passionate years today."

Chatting while viewing, Theodore didn't try to mislead Jiang Cheng in his choices.

In no time Jiang Cheng reserved four units outright.

Such casual spending made Wang Cong and Qin Fen green with envy, while Jessica's heart pounded throughout.

After the viewing they headed to the next stop. In the spacious MPV they sipped red wine while discussing the commercial storefronts they were about to see.

Raising his glass, Alidor said, "Mr. Jiang, next we'll view shops in London's Chinatown—several are on the market. Rentals there are hot, so they're a solid buy."

Theodore handed the materials and photos to Jiang Cheng and gave him a detailed briefing.

They relaxed with red wine while discussing the Chinatown data, and about ten minutes later the car stopped.

Once parked, Theodore opened the door and invited Jiang Cheng and the others out.

Stepping out, Jiang Cheng felt a wave of familiarity as he looked at the Chinatown archway.

After days of English signs everywhere, suddenly seeing Chinese faces, Chinese shop signs, and dense red lanterns gave them the feeling of being back in a home-market street.

Alidor quickly led Jiang Cheng to the storefronts along the street.

He explained, "These units are all for sale; tenancies haven't expired. If you buy and have your own plans, you can terminate the leases early; if not, you can keep the current rental agreements."

Jiang Cheng carefully observed the customer flow in the shops.

It was still afternoon, not yet mealtime, yet several tables were occupied—decent foot traffic.

The units sat well, right by the road; as investments they'd rent out easily.

Jessica, beside Jiang Cheng, looked around curiously.

She'd originally held little regard for Asians, but after Jiang Cheng's guidance she dared not show that bias.

Not only did she hide it, she even looked interested.

As the saying goes, love the money, love the person.

Seeing her sparkling eyes on Candied Haws and Cotton Candy, Jiang Cheng asked, "You like these?"

Jessica blinked, then shook her head. "I've never seen them; they just look pretty."

Looking at the candy, Jiang Cheng suddenly thought of Zhou Ying.

Every time he met her she had Lollipops in her bag.

While driving she'd always be licking one, often making Jiang Cheng feel stifled.

He couldn't help chuckling. "I've discovered you women are born loving these big stick-shaped candies."

'Big stick candy'? What do you mean?"

Seeing Jessica didn't catch on, Jiang Cheng smiled and said nothing.

Jessica and Alidor didn't understand, but Wang Cong and Qin Fen did.

Both looked at Jiang Cheng with teasing grins.

"Jiang Cheng, take it easy—there are Chinese everywhere here; if some Girl overhears, she might call you a Creepy Uncle."

Wang Cong had barely finished when several Chinese-looking Girls came up and asked, "Principal Wang! Are you Principal Wang?"
