With that thought, Yu Xiaoxiao immediately repaid Jiang Cheng with action.
She gave a bewitching smile, walked up to him, cupped his face in her hands, and left no spot unkissed.
Two minutes later her movements drifted downward to Jiang Cheng's legs.
Yu Xiaoxiao slowly knelt… Soon Jiang Cheng was lying like a salted fish on the sofa. Two hours later he finally rose from the bed in the office's rest area.
Jiang Cheng had specifically instructed that Yu Xiaoxiao's office include a lounge.
The bedding was the same Aman collection.
After all, the two of them spent most of their time in bed.
Seeing Jiang Cheng get up, Yu Xiaoxiao—already fully dressed and glowing—took a set of men's clothes from the wardrobe.
Radiant, she said, "I bought these for you. I checked your size; they should fit. They've been washed and pressed. New toiletries are in the bathroom."
Her thoughtfulness let Jiang Cheng feel a woman's virtue.
He accepted the new LV autumn collection from her, his gaze softening.
"Thanks for the trouble, Xiaoxiao."
Seeing his earnest look, Yu Xiaoxiao beamed and hugged him. "No trouble at all. Seeing you makes me happy…"
"The company's busy lately. If you're tired don't force it—call me and I'll come help you relax."
Understanding his meaning, she pinched his nose coquettishly. "Naughty little brother, always bullying me. What kind of 'relax' is that?"
Jiang Cheng grinned. "Still not relaxed enough? Want me to try harder?"
"Go away. Hurry up and leave; I've still got work."
Yu Xiaoxiao knew he was here on business today, so she didn't ask him to stay.
After washing up Jiang Cheng left her office.
As he stepped out he noticed a strikingly curvy figure in the pantry diagonally opposite.
The alluring silhouette made him look twice.
He couldn't help walking toward the pantry.
"Su Wan?"
Startled, Su Wan turned from her daze and looked over.
Seeing Jiang Cheng, she instinctively checked her watch.
He had been inside for nearly two hours.
Ever since witnessing him kiss Yu Xiaoxiao she'd been distracted.
Unable to stay in her office she'd come to the pantry nearest Yu Xiaoxiao's to secretly watch.
She'd waited two full hours.
Su Wan sized Jiang Cheng up.
He'd worn black earlier; now he was in white.
A change of clothes meant everything that could happen probably had.
With a slight barb she said, "President Jiang spent quite a while in Sister Yu's office…"
Frowning, Jiang Cheng asked, "How do you know how long I was in there?"
"I…"
Seeing her hesitate, Jiang Cheng guessed the answer.
He suspected she'd been the one closing the door earlier.
Su Wan almost blurted that she'd seen everything.
But what right did she have?
Jiang Cheng was her boss; their earlier intimacy had been accidental—and she'd initiated it.
She had no standing to be jealous.
Her confrontational spirit drained away.
She didn't even know why she'd waited so long.
She answered weakly, "I… heard it from someone…"
Jiang Cheng didn't press; he didn't care.
So what if Su Wan had seen him with Yu Xiaoxiao?
His policy had always been: don't initiate, don't refuse.
Seeing her deflated, he folded his arms and studied her with interest.
She realized she didn't matter to him.
Still unwilling to give up, she tested, "Did you see the hot search these days? Netizens say I'm being kept by you. What do you think?"
Jiang Cheng raised an eyebrow; he hadn't known.
"I'm surprised, but it seems to be the truth?"
His answer stunned Su Wan; her cheeks burned.
She asked again, "When did I become your kept woman? How come I didn't notice?"
Seeing her expectant look, Jiang Cheng said flatly, "You're my company's artist. Without this company how would you earn money? Isn't that being kept?"
Su Wan muttered, "By that logic you're keeping dozens, not just me—our company isn't only me."
Jiang Cheng shrugged. "I can afford to keep a few dozen more. What, from your tone you don't want to be kept?"
She wanted to say she didn't mind—just not the normal kind of kept.
Su Wan rolled her eyes inwardly.
She longed to snap at him, but he was her boss and her livelihood.
"It's not that I mind, but if I'm kept how will I ever find a boyfriend?"
"You're barely famous and already thinking of boyfriends?"
"Of course not, I just…"
Though Jiang Cheng's principle was not to initiate or refuse,
everyone knew Su Wan's nickname: "Little Bowl."
Right now those two "little bowls" quivered pitifully before him, and he felt obliged to watch over them.
After all, he was a responsible man—he couldn't stand seeing women bullied; if anyone were to do the squeezing, it had to be him.
"Su Wan, the company is pouring every resource into you. I just asked Manager Yu—this year we're investing in three leading-role dramas for you, top billing. Many actors struggle for over a decade without getting that. I hope you'll give the company a satisfying result. Your first task now is to act well, hone your craft, and stop thinking nonsense."
Seeing his serious expression, Su Wan nodded quickly in fright.
Though Jiang Cheng was young, his stern aura intimidated her.
Noting her fear, he softened and coaxed, "You're still young; no rush for romance. Even if you do, find someone as outstanding as me."
