Qin Cheng ignored his Tigress and turned to look at Father-in-law and Brother-in-law.
"Why are you all staring at me? Did something happen?"
Seeing Qin Cheng act as though he had no idea what he had done, Father-in-law finally couldn't hold back from the center of the sofa: "You bastard, you truly don't know what you've done?"
Qin Cheng assumed they were still on the airport topic, so he reflexively argued, "Dad, I really didn't—I never left the country. Don't listen to rumors."
After saying that, he casually took a seat—only to notice several photographs lying on the table.
The person in the pictures was clearly him at the airport with the Female secretary.
The shots were expertly timed, capturing the exact moments he was groping her chest and grabbing her rear.
Qin Cheng's right eyelid twitched as he looked at the photos, a flash of embarrassment crossing his face.
So there really were pictures.
His earlier confident denial had just slapped him in the face.
But even so, he wasn't worried.
He'd grown used to his Tigress hiring paparazzi to tail him.
They'd been through this plenty of times.
She'd storm into the company, vent, and it would blow over.
At most he'd lose face; nothing substantial was ever at stake.
He'd already had his fun—what could she really do?
Worst case, he'd lie low for a while.
Come home early, leave late, play model husband until the storm passes.
Besides, he knew his Tigress was fierce but would never divorce him.
He'd cheated on her more than ten times; each time she threatened divorce, she backed down when it mattered..
She had uttered the word "divorce" dozens of times, but never followed through.
Because of that, Qin Cheng cared less and less about these scenes.
Before Qin Cheng spoke, Brother-in-law sneered, "Don't tell me you're going to say these photos are fake—Photoshopped?"
Qin Cheng rolled his eyes reflexively.
But he quickly adjusted his expression, grinned, and said, "I didn't go! Aren't I right here?"
Seeing his shameless attitude, Father-in-law finally exploded: "And you can still laugh? You think our family can't touch you?"
When his cane thudded, Qin Cheng immediately caved. "I didn't mean that..."
Unwilling to waste more breath, Father-in-law got to the point: "Tell me—do you know you've offended someone out there?"
"I offended someone? Who?"
"Your company's loan issues—you don't know about them?"
Qin Cheng's face darkened at this, brows knit: "I just heard. I sent someone to handle it. Our projects are fine. Loans are just being blocked. Some rival's messing with me. I was going to ask you to look into it."
"You bastard, I should never have given my daughter to you. Look how worn out she is now."
When they dragged this up again, Q- Cheng cut in impatiently: "Fine, drop it. Who exactly did I offend?"
Seeing him brush his daughter aside, Father-in-law sighed, "Today Jiangtai Building Materials announced they won't work with your company. Are you unaware?"
"I know. But you're saying I've offended them? Jiangtai is just a construction company, worth a few million. Should I be scared?"
Father-in-law stared at him, furious at his blindness.
Seeing his haggard daughter sobbing, he consoled her: "Stop crying. You still have a family."
He turned back to Qin Cheng. "You think he's just a small construction boss? Then why did China Construction Bank freeze your loans right after his announcement?"
Qin Cheng's disbelief vanished from his face.
He sat up straight, stunned. "You mean... CCB froze our loans because of Jiangtai Construction? Jiang Jianmin has that much pull?"
At that moment, Qin Cheng's phone rang. Seeing it was his assistant, he answered immediately.
"Boss, I contacted several banks. None will handle our loans."
Fear shot down Qin Cheng's spine. "What do you mean?"
"Not sure—they all said the same. Several building material and property firms, plus property services, said they'll no longer cooperate with us. Some want to terminate contracts mid-term."
"What's the reason?" he asked anxiously.
"No reasons. They just announce, send documents. The contractor on our site has already terminated the contract, not caring about penalties. They simply refuse to work with us."
Only then did Qin Cheng grasp the gravity of the matter.
If Jiangtai alone refused to deal, he wouldn't worry—he and Jiang Jianming hadn't worked closely recently.
But when other major construction companies gave up profit to cut ties, something was clearly wrong.
Most importantly, the stance shown by other banks was terrifying.
If only China Construction Bank had an issue, he could find an alternative.
But if every bank refused, his real-estate firm was doomed.
