Chapter 765 - Investment Fair

Seeing Jiang Cheng staring at her intently, Su Wan's lips curved slightly upward, revealing a sweet smile. "This dress was specially prepared for me by the Company, you know. What do you think? My agent told me that Manager Yu personally instructed the Design Department early this morning to rush its production."

After glancing at the gorgeous dress, Jiang Cheng shifted his gaze elsewhere without leaving a trace.

It looked good, but staring at it constantly would seem a bit too intentional.

Although he had been craving this pair of Da Wanyin for a long time.

But he understood perfectly well that haste makes waste.

Seeing that Jiang Cheng didn't respond with even a single word, Su Wan couldn't help but feel a wave of disappointment.

When the two of them had hotpot together before, Jiang Cheng had been slightly more proactive toward her.

But over these last few times, Su Wan clearly felt that Jiang Cheng had become somewhat cold toward her, a change that filled her heart with confusion and unease.

Was he bored or tired of her, or did he feel she was too hard to get, so he was backing off and didn't want to continue flirting?

Regardless of the reason, Su Wan's heart was incredibly conflicted and complex at this moment.

Along the way, Su Wan very actively sought out various topics to chat and communicate with Jiang Cheng.

After a drive of more than half an hour, two luxurious maybachs at the front and back, with a black stretched rolls-royce sandwiched in the middle, the three vehicles slowly pulled up in front of the Shangri-La Hotel.

Even though many other expensive and luxurious vehicles were already parked at the hotel entrance, the convoy formed by these three cars still attracted many people's attention.

Especially the pure black rolls-royce in the middle; its body gleamed with a dazzling light, and the small golden figure on the hood was particularly eye-catching, as if showcasing the owner's noble and extraordinary status to the world.

Such a spectacular display undoubtedly became the focus of everyone's attention.

"What's going on?? Why are there so many luxury cars at the hotel today? Several Mercedes-Benz and lincoln just parked, and now two more maybachs and a rolls-royce have arrived. Is there some celebrity event??"

"A celebrity probably wouldn't have such a huge display, right? This is almost like the scale of a red carpet event."

"Yeah, look, they're all luxury cars. It looks more like a gathering of big shots."

...Before the customers inside the hotel could finish speaking, the doors of the two maybachs began to open.

Seven or eight burly, suit-clad Bodyguards leaped from the cars like tigers descending a mountain.

These people were powerfully built, standing in place like iron towers, emitting a chilling aura.

Several of them held large umbrellas that were as black as ink.

These few Bodyguards with umbrellas ran at an incredible speed toward the rolls-royce and waited respectfully by the car doors.

Wang Sheng observed the situation behind them through the rearview mirror, and after confirming everything was ready, he turned his head and said softly to Jiang Cheng in the back seat, "Chairman Jiang, we've arrived."

Upon receiving Jiang Cheng's affirmative response, Wang Sheng immediately pushed open the door, walked quickly to the other side, and carefully opened the door for Jiang Cheng.

As soon as they stepped out of the car, several Bodyguards with black umbrellas directly surrounded Jiang Cheng and Su Wan tightly.

Seven or eight Bodyguards directly escorted the two of them into the hotel.

Fortunately, a grand scene like the one Jiang Cheng and the others made tonight wasn't the first of its kind.

After all, it was an Investment Fair, and many celebrities and directors sent by their companies to entertain investors had arrived.

Many celebrities were also bundled up tightly when they got out of their cars, but at most, there were only three or four people; a scale as large as Jiang Cheng's was rare.

The hotel staff on-site were not as surprised as the other guests staying at the Shangri-La.

Clearly, similar situations were already a common sight for them.

After taking the invitation handed over by Wang Sheng, the hotel manager immediately turned to Jiang Cheng and said, "Thank you very much for taking the time to visit our Shangri-La Hotel. Please follow me this way."

Subsequently, the Lobby Manager respectfully led Jiang Cheng and Su Wan to the VIP elevator and nodded, saying, "This cocktail party is scheduled to be held on the 59th floor of the hotel. This is the VIP Guide specifically responsible for taking you there. I wish you a pleasant and enjoyable evening!"

As the elevator rose slowly, before they even reached the entrance of the Investment Fair, Jiang Cheng received a call from Wang Congcong.

"Hey, Jiang Cheng, why aren't you here yet??" Wang Congcong's anxious voice came from the other end of the phone.

"Don't worry, I'm coming up now," Jiang Cheng replied unhurriedly.

"Alright, alright, that's fine then. I'll go wait for you at the entrance. I came too early and took a look around, but I didn't see Big Honey anywhere. If you don't show up soon, I was planning to leave," Wang Congcong said helplessly.

"Come on, stop pretending with me. Who doesn't know you never touch anyone from the entertainment industry? From what I see, you're just bored and looking for trouble," Jiang Cheng exposed Wang Congcong's lie without mercy.

Hearing this, Wang Congcong was first stunned, then burst into laughter. "Heh, you saw through me! But to be honest, it's not that I don't touch them; who wouldn't want to if they had the chance? It's just that my family has rules. But you're right, 'Fierce Cat' has just started to pick up recently, so I just came to join the fun and piggyback on some of the hype."

Jiang Cheng shrugged speechlessly. "I knew you were just acting all upright."

Over the years, to promote his family's Company, Wang Congcong had certainly been quite active in the entertainment industry.

He not only frequently participated in various talk shows and variety programs but even served as a guest presenter at some award ceremonies.
