Chapter 894 - Reverse PUA

P.S. This chapter got flagged, so I moved most of it to the previous one—please reread the last chapter, thanks!

The guy next to her noticed the tears on Zhao Jia's face and asked with a frown, "What's wrong? Why are you crying all of a sudden?"

His question snapped Zhao Jia out of her memories and yanked her straight back to reality.

Looking at him, Zhao Jia felt a surge of anger. She screamed hysterically, "None of your business! Stop following me! I already have a boyfriend, and he's way better than you…"

The guy froze at Zhao Jia's outburst.

A moment later he came to his senses, face flushed with rage. "Psycho! If you've got a boyfriend you should've said so earlier—wasting my damn time! Screw you! It's late as hell and I've still got to hit the next spot."

With that he shot Zhao Jia a vicious glare and stalked off.

But the drama wasn't over.

After only a few steps the guy stopped, turned back, and glared at her with pure malice.

Apparently the curses hadn't been enough to vent his anger.

A hawking sound—and a glob of spit landed squarely on Zhao Jia.

Zhao Jia's eyes widened in shock; she couldn't believe he'd done something so disgusting.

Her body trembled slightly, a mix of fury and grievance welling inside her.

Seeing how low he'd sunk, Zhao Jia wanted to grab tissues from her bag—but realized she'd forgotten them today.

Blow after blow, she squatted on the street and wailed… After leaving the group chat she saw it was almost midnight.

Jiang Cheng looked at the bottles still left on the table.

He turned to the two girls. "Can either of you spray champagne?"

"Huh?"

Jiang Churan's eyes went blank; Shen Shuang's face flushed scarlet.

They obviously hadn't expected Jiang Cheng to ask something like that.

"What do you mean?"

Seeing their misunderstanding, Jiang Cheng pointed to the ace of spades on the table.

"I mean, when the countdown hits midnight we pop the unopened bottles and spray them."

Jiang Churan and Shen Shuang both stared.

Nearly twenty-grand-a-bottle bubbly… for spraying?

Shen Shuang gave Jiang Cheng a big thumbs-up. "Boss, you beast—I can spray, I'm a pro."

Shen Shuang finished, and Jiang Churan added, "I'm not sure if I can, but I can learn; it can't be that hard, right?"

Shen Shuang shot back, "It's a bit tricky. First you shake it hard…"

Jiang Churan mimicked Shen Shuang's motions.

"Like this—after shaking, give it a good jolt so it builds up lots of gas."

"Mm-hmm. Then what?"

"By now you're dying to let go, but you have to hold it in."

"Hold it in?"

"Of course. When you can't hold it anymore, yank it out fast—then the jet goes sky-high…"

Watching Jiang Churan listen so seriously to Shen Shuang's lecture, Jiang Cheng felt a sudden tightness somewhere and sighed: Shen Shuang's a natural teacher—shame her looks only score an eighty… "Okay, I kind of get it. I'll watch them later; spraying it all over yourself sounds easy."

Jiang Cheng rubbed his nose. "Well… if you aim high you should stay clear."

Just then the phone on Jiang Churan's lap lit up.

She unlocked it and her face darkened instantly, brows knitting together. She handed the phone to Shen Shuang.

"Crap…" Shen Shuang muttered, worried and puzzled. "Churan, you're not going, right?"

Jiang Churan answered at once, "Of course not—why would I? I didn't even want to add him; can I just block him?"

Noting Shen Shuang's odd expression, Jiang Cheng asked curiously, "What's up?"

Shen Shuang, seeing Jiang Cheng liked Jiang Churan, rolled her eyes and passed him the phone.

Jiang Cheng glanced at the screen.

The guy had sent a location and photos of a hotel room—Marriott, and by the looks of it the presidential suite.

"This wechat must've just been added; the second it went through he fires over the hotel address—what a creep," Jiang Cheng complained.

Shen Shuang eagerly recounted what had happened at table two.

Jiang Cheng nodded. "So the one sending Churan the invite is Xu Zhi?"
