Chapter 1473 - What Game Do You Want to Play?

After saying that, Jiang Cheng casually raised the privacy partition.

Bai Xiaoxiao felt her cheeks burn even hotter.

It was her first time riding in a rolls-royce.

Still, as someone who practically lived online,

she knew that once the rear divider was up, the driver could barely hear anything said in the back.

Seeing her reaction, Jiang Cheng went on, "Right, I invited you here to play a game. How about we start now?"

If they'd been on their phones as usual, Bai Xiaoxiao would've instantly replied that Jiang Cheng could play however he liked.

Face-to-face, though, her mind flashed back to the couple embracing outside the bar.

The back seat really was huge—almost like a small sofa.

If two people wanted to "duo" here, space wouldn't be an issue.

"What... game... do you want to play?"

Jiang Cheng tilted his head, gaze sweeping over her like a searchlight, amused and faintly appraising.

He studied her from head to toe.

"Didn't you say it yourself? We could duo in pubg—or just... you know."

Bai Xiaoxiao's cheeks flamed.

The boldness she'd shown in the bar popped like a bubble,

leaving only inescapable shyness.

She twisted her fingers, eyes drifting to the neon streaks outside the window, voice barely a whisper.

"The Wi-Fi in the car isn't great. I'm afraid I'll play badly and... you won't enjoy it."

Jiang Cheng laughed.

"Girl, this is a rolls-royce. It has Wi-Fi; we won't disconnect. Gaming is about taking part."

The air inside the cabin seemed to thicken and thin at once.

Bai Xiaoxiao could clearly smell the faint mix of alcohol and premium aftershave on Jiang Cheng,

along with the cool scent of the leather seats.

Her heart felt ready to pound out of her chest.

Even though she'd rehearsed this scene countless times in her head,

actually being so close made her flustered.

She sneaked a sidelong glance at Jiang Cheng.

Contrary to her own panic,

he calmly played on his phone, not even sparing her an extra look.

His chiseled profile looked even more striking in the shifting light.

Sensing her gaze, Jiang Cheng said casually, "If you don't feel like playing, you can head back first."

Just as Bai Xiaoxiao wondered where he might take her, this reply caught her off guard.

She didn't quite grasp his meaning.

She really wanted to try that "duo" experience,

but unless Bai Xiaoxiao took the initiative, Jiang Cheng certainly wouldn't.

After a long silence,

she spoke up: "But I don't want to go back. I brought my ID and my charger—we can play all night."

Jiang Cheng knew the internet meme well:

when someone brings both ID and charger to a night out,

things are basically settled.

Seeing Jiang Cheng stay quiet, Bai Xiaoxiao drew a deep breath,

as if steeling herself.

She bent down,

leaned forward,

and slipped in front of him.

Because Jiang Cheng was sitting, she now found herself face-to-face with him, a rare position.

She lifted her head slightly.

The cabin's soft light cast a warm halo over her fair face.

Her eyes held a timid probe and a hint of staking everything in one throw.

"Onii-chan, do you like automatic... or manual?"

P.S. My period hit this week—total bloodbath. I'm sleepy and aching every day. I write, delete, post, then rewrite.

Anyone who rereads will notice I tweak text or character settings.

Maybe I revise today's chapter tomorrow,

or last month's chapter suddenly feels off and I go back to fix it.

I often change stats, character bios, dialogue, even characters and illustrations.

These edits are what feel right for the plot at that moment.

Thanks for your patience—heart you all.
