Chapter 1622 - Being Rich Really Is Great

Confronted with this sight, Jiang Cheng naturally leaned in and kissed her.

A few minutes later, just as Jiang Cheng was about to turn his attention back to Si Nian, both sisters protested.

Si Nian turned her head and pushed him away, her cheeks so red they looked ready to bleed.

She shot a flustered glance toward Wang Sheng in the driver's seat.

When Jiang Cheng had kissed her moments ago, she'd been lost in the sensation.

After all, they were Twin Sisters, born closer than ordinary siblings.

They were even the kind who could bathe together without a second thought.

So taking turns kissing Jiang Cheng felt perfectly fair to her;

she hadn't considered any deeper implications.

But while watching Si Qing kiss Jiang Cheng, she suddenly realized: there were more than three people in the car—how embarrassing!

Although she knew Wang Sheng probably wouldn't look, she still felt unbearably self-conscious.

Seeing the sisters' shy faces, Jiang Cheng chuckled and pressed the button to raise the privacy partition between the front and back seats.

The heavy panel slid up, completely blocking the driver's view.

Both sisters couldn't help exclaiming as the rear cabin became a sealed cocoon.

"Wow, isn't this something straight out of a drama?" Si Qing teased first.

Si Nian nodded, cheeks flushed, her embarrassment giving way to girlish charm.

"Right? First time I've seen something so high-end. Once that panel's up, can you really not hear anything?"

Playing along, Jiang Cheng asked innocently, "So I'm curious—what kind of movie needs the partition raised?"

The two girls shot him coy, exasperated looks.

"Guess."

He slipped an arm around each of their shoulders and deliberately mixed up their names.

"Qingqing, I always say only kids need to guess. Didn't you want to know what the partition does? Let me demonstrate."

When Jiang Cheng called her Si Qing, Si Nian stifled a giggle.

"Actually I'm not that curious, but I think Niannian might be."

"Really? Then let's try…"

Cornered by Si Nian, Si Qing gave a helpless smile.

Ten minutes later, Jiang Cheng released the Twin Sisters.

He could only lament that it wasn't summer;

if it were, their playful tussle might have ventured below the neck.

As it was, he had to settle for knitted barriers.

"Hmph, you villain!" Si Nian scolded, shooting him a playful glare.

Si Qing echoed a soft huff, cheeks crimson as she pulled her coat tighter.

Jiang Cheng stopped teasing them;

after all, this was only day one of laying their cards on the table,

and he didn't want them to feel uncomfortable.

He grinned. "Qingming break is three days, right? What are your plans?"

Si Nian answered, "Stay in the dorm…"

Si Qing nodded. "Only three days, not worth going home. And it's just a month into term; Mom and Dad work all day, we'd only see them at dinner and bedtime."

"If you don't want to go home, you could take a short trip nearby…"

Although the holiday was officially three days, for college students

if the previous day's classes weren't important, they could leave a day early.

And if the day after break had no core courses, they could squeeze out an extra day.

At Jiang Cheng's suggestion, both girls' eyes lit up.

"You're right—we can travel now!"

Only then did Si Nian and Si Qing realize they were millionaires.

They had actually considered traveling before,

but it had always felt too expensive.

Last winter's visit to their aunt's ice festival had burned through half their years of saved pocket money.

Food and lodging were manageable;

the killers were round-trip high-speed rail tickets and admission fees.

Though Jiang Cheng had given each of them an eighty-thousand-yuan New-Year red packet, they had agreed to save it—

first, because they weren't sure where their relationship with Jiang Cheng was headed;

second, to keep it as an emergency fund for their parents.

After all, job pressure in Pengcheng was brutal.

Though their parents never said so, the sisters could feel the strain: over ten thousand a month for the mortgage, plus their own living costs and household expenses, meant nearly twenty thousand a month minimum.

But tonight, with the bank card Jiang Cheng had given them, those worries seemed to vanish.

Thinking this, both sisters silently sighed: being rich really is wonderful.
