Chapter 1864 - Big Girl, Did You Call the Wrong Number?

Seeing Jiang Cheng say this, Fang Yuan couldn't help but roll her eyes at him again.

Fang Yuan lowered her head, slowly rubbing the water droplets on the soda can.

After a long while, she suddenly explained, "Actually... I haven't been to that kind of place for a long time."

Jiang Cheng was stunned for a moment by the sudden shift in topic.

He quickly realized that Fang Yuan must be talking about bars.

Jiang Cheng raised an eyebrow. "When was the last time you went..."

"Yeah." Fang Yuan nodded, her voice lowering slightly. "I wouldn't say I've really been... I went to pubs when I was young, but those are different from bars. Later, after I had Xiao Ying, I lost interest. I always felt that those flashy, neon-lit places weren't for me."

She paused and looked up, the sunlight reflecting in her eyes.

With a hint of fragmented anticipation: "Because I haven't been, I want to go and see."

Jiang Cheng looked at the light in her eyes, and his heart suddenly softened.

He suddenly realized that beneath Fang Yuan's seemingly steady and capable exterior was a woman whose edges had been smoothed by life, yet who still held curiosity for new things.

He picked up a piece of Luzhu Huoshao and put it in her bowl, his tone relaxed. "Then I'll take you to broaden your horizons today. Don't worry, with me around, no one will dare bother you."

Fang Yuan looked at the Luzhu in her bowl, then looked up at Jiang Cheng's smiling eyes.

Suddenly, she lowered her head again.

Although she hadn't been in many relationships.

But her age was a factor after all.

She was different from Zhou Ying; Zhou Ying and Jiang Cheng were in a normal relationship.

They had feelings for each other and could ignore who gave more or less in the relationship.

But she was different.

She understood that at her stage, if she owed Jiang Cheng too much...

It would eventually have to be repaid...

Even though she held this title, Jiang Cheng and Zhou Ying were only dating, and their relationship wasn't legally protected...

So her relationship with Jiang Cheng under this title naturally didn't constitute anything immoral.

But in the eyes of the world, it might be condemned.

This was also what Fang Yuan had been conflicted about.

After lunch, Jiang Cheng was going to take Fang Yuan back to the hotel.

The car stopped at the hotel entrance, and Jiang Cheng spoke up. "I just booked a suite for you at the Yiheng Hotel, two hundred meters away from this hotel. You should move there. I'll have someone help you move your luggage later..."

Fang Yuan was stunned and said subconsciously, "But I've already booked here."

"I've already booked there too, and it's non-refundable." Jiang Cheng's tone was flat but carried an air of refusal. "The conditions at this hotel are too ordinary; it's not comfortable to stay in."

Fang Yuan instantly understood that he saw her current accommodation was simple and had specially arranged a better place.

She had just been thinking about not owing Jiang Cheng too much, and now he had forcefully arranged a place for her to stay.

Faced with a man's forceful arrangement for one's own good, most women probably wouldn't be able to refuse.

Let alone a woman like her who had been starved of love for a long time.

Looking at Jiang Cheng's slightly aggressive gaze, Fang Yuan looked away again.

She could only nod. "Okay, thank you for the arrangement."

"We're all family, why say that?"

Fang Yuan's heart tightened at the words "all family."

Avoiding his gaze, she whispered, "Then I'll go back and pack my things and rest for a bit."

"Okay." Jiang Cheng nodded. "I'll pick you up to go to the bar tonight. Let's head over early."

Just as he got into the car, Qiu Yihe's call came through.

"little friend, didn't we say we'd have a meal together today?"

After turning on the speaker, Jiang Cheng started the dark nights sound. "Big Girl, did you call the wrong number? You should have already checked out how big I am. We're just one step away from a 'deep understanding.' How about tonight you properly...?"

Before he could finish, Qiu Yihe hurriedly interrupted, "Why didn't you reply to my messages..."

On the other end, she was already flushed red from Jiang Cheng's counter-questions.

She remembered that when she first met Jiang Cheng, she could still retort by saying men have three major delusions.

But after experiencing the sushi restaurant restroom and the sunroom bath, she couldn't attribute those three delusions to Jiang Cheng.

First, it really wasn't small.

Second, it was indeed not small; she felt very good being pressed by Jiang Cheng.

Third, she didn't know if Jiang Cheng could go nine rounds, but she knew his recovery time was very short... Jiang Cheng didn't hide it and replied honestly, "My girlfriend's mother just arrived in Jingdu, and I went to host her, so I didn't check my phone..."

"Oh, I didn't expect a scumbag like you to be so responsible. Which girlfriend?"

"Is there any point in telling you? You don't know her, and you wouldn't remember..."

Qiu Yihe let out a muffled groan, clearly quite annoyed by Jiang Cheng.

But there was nothing she could do, so she continued, "So are you planning to stand me up again today?"

Feeling Qiu Yihe's anger, Jiang Cheng chuckled. "How could I? Where are you? I'll come pick you up..."

Half an hour later, Jiang Cheng's car arrived at the entrance of the alley.

He saw Qiu Yihe standing there listlessly, wearing a loose hoodie with her hair tied in a casual bun.

She thought she would be more natural seeing Jiang Cheng again after a few days.

But it turned out she wasn't.

Under Jiang Cheng's gaze, her hands even unnaturally untied her hair, which she had intentionally tied up messily.

Her eyes flickered, not daring to look at him, as a faint blush crept onto her cheeks.

The feeling of being held down and spanked by him the day before yesterday still made her buttocks feel numb just thinking about it.

This man looked refined, but he really didn't know his own strength when he got physical.

Jiang Cheng raised an eyebrow, finding her guilty expression a bit amusing. "What are you standing there for? Get in."

Qiu Yihe gave an "oh" and sluggishly opened the passenger door to sit inside, her movements stiff as she fastened the seatbelt.

Once the car had smoothly driven out of the neighborhood, she couldn't hold back her curiosity and whispered, "Where... are we going? It's already past two, and I've already had lunch."

Jiang Cheng looked ahead, a faint smile on his lips. "Then we'll eat tonight. I'm taking you to a place; you'll definitely like the cafeteria there."

"Cafeteria?"

Qiu Yihe's voice suddenly shot up as if she had heard something unbelievable, and she turned to glare at him. "Jiang Cheng, are you joking? With your status, you're taking me to eat at a cafeteria?"

In her mind, a top-tier second-generation heir like Jiang Cheng would eat at private catering or star-rated hotels; he probably hadn't even stepped foot in a place like a cafeteria.

Jiang Cheng glanced at her, his tone calm. "What's wrong with a cafeteria? You look down on them?"

"It's not that I look down on them!" Qiu Yihe hurriedly defended herself. "It's just... it's just too ridiculous! You, the great Young Master of the Jiang Family, eating at a cafeteria? If word got out, wouldn't people laugh their heads off?"

Jiang Cheng sneered, too lazy to explain to her. "As if you're not a second-gen yourself. Stop pinning that kind of title on me."

Qiu Yihe curled her lips, her heart full of doubt, yet she obediently shut her mouth, though her eyes couldn't help but steal glances at Jiang Cheng again.

Sunlight streamed through the car window, falling on his well-defined profile, his eyelashes casting a small shadow under his eyelids.

He was clearly a 'tyrant' who would get physical at the drop of a hat, so how did he end up with such a face that was impossible to hate?
