Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 : The Road Beyond the Gate

"Banish him.....!!"

The king's voice was calm. Too calm. The royal hall fell into silence. The Red banners of Rivergate Kingdom hung high above, shining under crystal chandeliers. Nineteen heroes stood in proud lines, holding their newly chosen weapons.

And at the very end Aragorn, The only F-Rank. The king slowly rose from his throne.

"A hero who carries the lowest rank among the chosen," he said coldly, "will only weaken morale. Rivergate cannot afford such disgrace."

A murmur spread across the hall. The General stepped forward and bowed.

"Your Majesty speaks wisely. Soldiers draw strength from symbols. If they see an F-Rank among the summoned heroes… doubt will spread."

Aragorn clenched his fists. So that's what I am now. A symbol of doubt. One of the heroes laughed quietly. Another avoided looking at him. Only one pair of eyes looked troubled. A silver haired girl stood among the S-Ranks, her fingers tightening around her staff.

"Your Majesty…" she hesitated.

The king raised a hand.

"No more discussion. Provide him minimal travel supplies. He will leave before sunset."

And just like that the ceremony ended. That Night Aragorn sat alone in the small guest chamber assigned to him. Through the thin walls, he could hear music, Laughter, glasses clinking. The nineteen heroes were celebrating their new destiny. He looked at the simple sword placed on the wooden table.

No glow.....No blessing...No special aura....Just steel.....

"So this is my isekai dream," he whispered bitterly.

Summoned to another world. Chosen by the gods, Only to be thrown away within a day. He leaned back against the wall and stared at the ceiling.

"Even here… I'm still nobody."

Outside, fireworks lit the night sky of Rivergate. Inside, silence swallowed him whole.

The World Beyond

This world was not Earth. It was a planet called Mythra. A vast realm under three moons: Luna, the largest, glowing silver. Vaelor, pale blue and calm. Cyris, small and red, rarely seen. Mythra had one massive continent known as Pandora. Pandora was divided into powerful regions:

Rivergate Kingdom – the largest human kingdom to the west , ForestFall Dominion – homeland of the elves at the Centre , Stromvale – mountain fortresses of the dwarves to the North , Wolfden – territory of the beast races to the South East. Brightshore – a neutral nation where all races trade and coexist in the south . Moonreach Abyss – the demon kingdom, far to the North East .

Everything in Pandora revolved around one system: Rank.

From F to S… and beyond, Rank determined respect, Rank determined salary, Rank determined survival. Adventurers earned their living through dungeon raids, monster hunts, escort missions, and royal contracts. The currency of the continent was called Paro . Paro's were of Copper, Silver, Gold and Platinum. 50 Copper equaled 1 Silver, 25 Silver equaled 1 Gold and 10 Gold equaled 1 Platinum. Priced Varied , Strength created wealth, Wealth created influence, Influence shaped destiny, and Aragorn had none of it.

The Departure

The next morning, the gates of Rivergate opened. Two guards escorted Aragorn outside the walls. They didn't insult him. They didn't comfort him either. It was as if he didn't exist. At the top of the wall, banners moved in the wind. Behind those walls, the nineteen heroes were probably receiving training, armor fittings, royal praise. Aragorn adjusted the small travel bag on his shoulder. One guard cleared his throat.

"There is a small village two days east," he said flatly. "Name's Ravenholt. Farmers. Traders. Nothing special."

Aragorn nodded, "Thank you."

The guard looked surprised. Perhaps he expected anger. Aragorn gave one last glance at Rivergate Kingdom. The tall towers, The shining walls. The place that called him a hero and discarded him.

"I won't beg," he murmured.

Then he turned away. The Road to Ravenholt The road was long and dusty. Wind moved across the plains, carrying the smell of grass and distant forests. Aragorn walked alone hours passed. His stomach growled,he wasn't trained like the others.

No combat lessons.....

No royal guidance...

Just a simple sword at his waist. By sunset, his legs felt heavy. He stopped near a small hill and looked back. Rivergate Kingdom was now a distant shape against the horizon.

"Good," he said quietly, "Stay far away."

The sky darkened as the three moons slowly rose. Luna shone the brightest. For the first time since being summoned, the world felt… real.

Cold wind, Empty road, No cheering crowd, Just him. And the endless land of Pandora . He sat down on a rock and stared at his sword.

"They think I'll disappear," he whispered.

"They think I'll remain F-Rank forever."

His grip tightened, "Fine....!"

If this world respected only rank Then he would climb it. Slowly, Silently, And one day...he would return. Not as the hero they summoned. But as something they never expected. The wind carried his silent vow into the night. Far ahead, beyond the rolling plains… A faint light flickered near the woods.

Ravenholt Village awaited.

And somewhere in the shadows of Mythra , fate had not finished with Aragorn yet....!
