Chapter 252: Dr. Karen
Yvonne looked very different from the composed specialist who had stood at the front of Westbridge University's auditorium.
There had been no tailored suit today, no immaculate professional styling designed for cameras, donors, faculty, and a room full of students prepared to be impressed by a famous physician. She wore white instead, simple and loose enough for travel. The color made her skin look even paler beneath the bright Maldivian sun. Her dark hair was gathered at the back of her head, not with the severe precision she favored at work, but in a relaxed knot that had already started to loosen. A few strands had slipped free beside her face.
The thin gold frames of her glasses remained.
