[Ding! Congratulations, Host, on completing the [40+ Triple-Double in a Single Game] task. Reward: [Peak Curry Three-Point Shot].]
"Finally!"
Blake Su let out a long breath, a smile spreading across his face.
As one of the greatest shooters in NBA history—a god-tier marksman who pushed the Small-ball era to its absolute peak—Peak Curry's three-point shot was undeniably terrifying.
Gaining that level of precision from beyond the arc was unquestionably a huge boost.
More importantly… Blake Su truly needed a reliable three-point weapon right now. The arrival of [Peak Curry Three-Point Shot] couldn't have come at a better time.
On the bench.
Blake Su closed his eyes to rest. With a thought, his attribute panel appeared before him.
[Abilities]: [Peak Anthony Jump Shot], [Peak Curry Three-Point Shot]
"Not bad… Just as expected of Peak Curry Three-Point Shot. It boosted my original 75 three-point rating by a full 20 points, bringing it to 95. Perfect.
But…
With [Peak Curry Three-Point Shot] enhancing a 95 rating, just how accurate will my threes be?"
[Ding!]
Sensing Blake Su's curiosity, the System chimed in again.
[Reply to Host: Under [Peak Curry Three-Point Shot], when unblocked, the Host has a 70% three-point shooting percentage against defensive pressure, and a 90% percentage on open three-pointers.
Friendly Reminder: The farther the distance from the three-point line, the lower the shooting percentage will gradually become.]
"Seventy percent contested, ninety percent open!"
A sharp light flashed in Blake Su's eyes. He could hardly wait to test this [Peak Curry Three-Point Shot]—a weapon that would surely shock the entire league.
...
With 1 minute and 31 seconds left in the third quarter, the Suns maintained their 20-point lead heading into the fourth.
Final quarter.
Under normal circumstances, the bench unit would rotate in first, giving the starters time to recover for the closing stretch.
But…
Blake Su checked back in.
On the Hornets' side.
Ariza took the initiative to guard him. Monty Williams, remembering how Ariza had found some success earlier—and seeing his confidence—approved.
Thud!
Top of the arc.
Blake Su held the ball. Ariza stood in front of him, as always, giving him a step of space. But the moment Blake Su dared to drive, dared to step even slightly inside the three-point line—
He would be met with tight resistance.
"Heh."
Blake Su smirked. "Ariza, you don't seriously think giving me space at the three-point line is enough to stop me, do you?"
"Isn't it?"
Ariza replied calmly. "If you've got the guts, hit one right over me."
A counter-taunt.
Ariza was trying to bait Blake Su into launching a three he supposedly couldn't hit.
What he didn't realize… Blake Su had said that on purpose—just to make sure Ariza wouldn't contest.
"Hmph."
With a faint smile, Blake Su confirmed Ariza wouldn't close out. From beyond the top of the arc, he rose up and fired.
Whoosh—
The ball traced a perfect arc through the air before plunging straight through the net.
Swish!
Nothing but net.
"Huh?"
Ariza froze for a moment.
Blake Su remained composed. "That's the three you asked for. Satisfied?"
"Not bad."
Ariza smiled faintly. "If you're feeling confident, I wouldn't mind seeing you take a few more."
Still trying to provoke him.
Blake Su widened his eyes and snapped back, "You think I don't dare shoot? Let me tell you—my three's always been money."
"Sure, sure."
Ariza nodded dismissively. As he brushed past Blake Su, his face turned cold.
"Just lucky. Keep chucking them like that—we'll get our chance."
Blake Su narrowed his eyes.
You think I'm on the first level…
But I'm actually on the fifth.
And so—
Swish!
Swish!
Swish!
To open the fourth quarter, after that first three, Blake Su drilled three more in a row—over Ariza's defense—within less than two minutes.
Four straight threes.
With [Peak Curry Three-Point Shot] activated, Blake Su personally unleashed a 12–2 offensive storm, blowing the lead wide open to 30 points in a single surge.
"What… is this?!"
Ariza's eyes were wide as he stood frozen, disbelief written all over his face. He couldn't comprehend how Blake Su's three-point shot had suddenly become this deadly.
Beeep—Beeep!
Monty Williams grabbed his head and called a timeout.
He didn't understand what Ariza was doing.
But he did understand one thing—
Down 30 points, there was no hope left.
After a brief internal struggle, he glanced at Blake Su's stat line:
52 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, 2 steals, 4 blocks.
He shook his head helplessly and gave up the pointless resistance.
Five in, five out.
The Hornets waved the white flag.
The Suns followed suit, pulling their starters as the game entered garbage time early.
"Impressive."
From the commentary booth, Van Gundy chuckled.
"Blake Su hits four straight threes and seals the game. Even though it's not officially over, I think we can already call this a season sweep of the Hornets."
"He's been incredible."
Mike Breen nodded, then frowned.
"But… Blake Su wasn't known for his three-point shooting. To open the fourth with four straight makes?
What's going on?"
Van Gundy blinked, suddenly realizing the issue.
"Exactly! One could be luck, two a coincidence—but four in a row? That's pure skill.
And yet—
Blake Su supposedly doesn't have a three-point shot. So what's happening here?"
The two commentators were baffled.
The fans were baffled.
Even the Heat's "Big Three," who had come to watch tonight's game, were baffled.
"What's going on?"
Dwyane Wade blinked. "Four straight threes? Could it be Blake Su always had this ability and just never showed it? Didn't need to?"
"Wow…"
Chris Bosh's mouth fell open at the thought.
LeBron thought for a moment, then inhaled sharply.
"I remember when people said Blake Su couldn't drive. Then he pulled out flashy drives and layups and shut everyone up.
Recently, plenty of people online said he couldn't shoot threes—that his game-winner was just luck. And just now, Ariza clearly bet on him not having range and gave him space.
And the result?
Another slap in the face.
Maybe Blake Su really did have the three-point shot all along. He just never used it—until someone challenged him."
"Yeah… that makes sense."
Wade nodded, still stunned.
"We were just saying how hard he is to deal with even without a three-point shot. Now that he's knocking them down like this… how do you even defend him?"
Bosh, equally shaken, looked at LeBron and Wade.
"LeBron… if we run into Blake Su in the playoffs—
Can we beat him?"
