Third person
Another day went by with nothing but pain and groans from the king. Meanwhile, outside the palace walls, the people had begun coming forward. Some came with flowers; others came with raw food for the crown prince while they sang his praise.
Rain had woken up that morning feeling a little down. His mind was still heavy with thoughts of Kebel, and he couldn't dismiss the worry. Cealan had stepped out in the early hours, while Idris and Viola brought back his things, which were taken to the new wing back. Leaning on the balcony, he could see the people before the gate chanting and singing.
Those who noticed him waved with excitement, while others presented him flowers. Rain could only nod but dared not go down or let the guards allow them in.
