Chapter 12 - Another Imitation

[It is another imitation]

The words appeared when the golden entity spoke — the jet—black sphere where the head should be, albeit featureless - and streams of bright light flowed from the sphere like golden waterfalls cascading into infinity below.

A violent tremor crawled up Sol's spine, then spread through his entire body. His eyes were wide open, his breathing heavy. He didn't know where the air was coming from in a place like this. He thought to himself, his inner voice slightly panicked:

" imitation?!..."

[Translated]

[The Sentinel did not find the origins. Can't inherit to a Imitation.]

A loud voice - cold, majestic, terrifying, deep, and heavy - forcefully penetrated Sol's ear.

Then a heavy silence fell, before another voice spoke with the same cold, terrifying tone The words changed again on the black screen.

[Apheth spoke]

[The Sentinel is lost. Time is no longer ours to grant inheritance.]

Another black screen appeared

[Archeth spoke]

[The Imitation is corrupted. The origin is pure. It won't endure.]

The head of that black entity—the one with the bright golden sphere—moved slightly. It seemed to be examining Sol carefully before leaning toward him, stopping its featureless face directly before Sol, who was like a tiny helpless ant before it. Powerless. Helpless.

A massive black hand formed, containing many claws—nine, to be exact. It rose toward Sol before stopping directly beneath him. That hand was enormous, like flowing currents of darkness in constant motion beneath him, the claws surrounding him like small mountains.

Sol glanced at it from the corner of his eye, and an uncomfortable feeling pierced through him. His heartbeat rose. His breathing became heavy and labored. His eyes trembled. His teeth... he was trying to keep them from chattering, but failing

The sea of darkness beneath him radiated a suffocating, terrifying sensation, filling Sol with heavy feelings in his chest. An intense desire to kill himself right now swept over him, along with many gloomy thoughts and brutal methods—slitting his arteries with his teeth, breaking his own neck, and many more.

The thoughts appeared strangely inside his head. The strange thing was, before coming here, Sol hadn't minded dying. Actually, he'd wanted it but never got it. But in this moment, everything shattered. Before, the desire for death was to end a purposeless life. But now, the current desire for death was to escape from what he was experiencing right now

That massive golden sphere examined him carefully, then the black entity spoke with its terrifying, majestic voice—increasing Sol's panic and fear by many tons.

[Apheth spoke]

[The Imitation is conscious]

[ The Imitation is different this time]

The black entity with the golden sphere moved back again, standing straight like a towering mountain, radiating its aura of terror, majesty, and mystery.

[The Imitation will inherit this time... The false one will endure.]

Sol heard their conversation in intense pain and panic, trembling violently.their words were like pouring molten lava into his ears, regardless of the sheer amount of dread pouring into him.

[Archeth spoke]

[Contamination... disasters will result.]

[Apheth spoke]

[The Imitation will endure... The Imitation has something inside it... Annihilation approaches. The Imitation must inherit...]

Both fell silent for a few seconds. To Sol, frozen in place, they felt like years. His mind couldn't process the intense pressure, the strange weight, the uncomfortable feeling creeping inside him.

[Archeth spoke]

[Then we'll inherit to a false one.Let's begin.]

The golden entity spoke before forming a massive hand with many fingers and pointing it toward Sol. The black entity did the same—without even asking Sol's opinion or considering him capable of having one.

Light and darkness flowed from their massive hands, moving smoothly like two rivers—one of light, one of darkness—circling Sol from all directions. Then the distance between them began shrinking until nothing remained between them.

Suddenly, a small explosion occurred upon touching Sol, pushing the light and darkness away from him. Sol still had expressions of surprise and panic on his face.

"What the fuck is..?.."

The entity spoke , then the black screen appeared bearing the golden words.

[Contamination fills the Imitation. We must immerse it deeper into the Inheritance.]

Suddenly, Sol felt intense pain spreading through every part of his body. He tried to scream but couldn't. It was like someone was choking him.

Black lines appeared all over Sol's body. The number of lines increased, spreading throughout him. Then suddenly, these lines began separating and spreading apart—cutting Sol into many pieces. The pieces divided into smaller pieces, then divided again. Sol watched what was happening, desperately wanting to scream, but his throat had been torn into tiny fragments.

Sol's pieces stopped dividing. Now his body was scattered remnants of flesh, bone, and skin spread everywhere. Even though his body was nearly erased, Sol remained conscious. In fact, he could still see what had happened to him.

[Apheth and Archeth spoke]

[Deeper.]

The screen appeared, But Sol's mind was elsewhere.

The river of light flowed, and beside it the river of darkness—parallel to each other—until they reached the middle of Sol's remains and spread through all the pieces.

"Aah!.. It hurts, you fuckhhers!.. Aah!..fuuuck"

[Apheth and Archeth spoke]

[Deeper.]

While all the scattered remnants of his body drowned in golden and black energy, Sol suffered intensely.

[Apheth and Archeth spoke]

[Deeper]

The pain continued for a long time before the flow of light and darkness stopped. Then, little by little, Sol's pieces drew closer to each other and connected through those worm-like shapes until they finally reformed him. The pain was clear on his face.

[Apheth and Archeth spoke]

[Go,the Imitation. You've advanced to a higher rank and attained the status of a living being.]

Sol heard what the entity said and felt a bit of anger. He tried to say something but couldn't.

[Go,living being. You now carry something you don't deserve But you are responsible for it.]

[You now the bearer of the final verdict, go forward along the path to the end.]

Sol wanted to curse at the top of his lungs and teach these two entities new and varied forms of insults and profanities—but he couldn't even open his mouth.

"I can't speak now...You are so fucking lucky for this"

Suddenly, Sol was pulled forcefully from the same direction he'd come from, at the same speed—or faster.

He pierced through a massive rift that appeared from nowhere, returning him to the world where he'd nearly been devoured. There, he passed through those strangely formed colors that seemed like massive, transcendent, greedy entities—hungry to devour anything.

Sol pierced through this world easily and entered a semi-dark world. If not for those living, glowing colors, it would have been completely dark. They were much smaller than the previous ones, but their numbers were enormous.

None of those glowing colors tried to approach Sol—it was as if they didn't see him, even as he collided with them, causing them to explode into many colors.

As Sol advanced, he approached those ugly glass forms filled with chaotic colors and pierced through one, creating many glass shards flying around him.

When Sol entered, he found the copies resembling him again. It was like a vast world of mirrors. As he looked around searching for that strange girl, he found something confusing: he found more than one girl with the same form.

Sol entered a tunnel again, and it took him back to that disgusting world—but this time, Sol didn't feel nauseous, even though he looked at it carefully.

And so Sol continued, emerging from the massive rocky spiral form, which seemed to have returned to its stable state again.

Sol approached the planet he'd been on at tremendous speed.

Even though he was falling fast, no fire ignited around him. He fell forcefully toward his body—the one still on the ground—and entered it.

Sol trembled completely and gasped—a deep, intense gasp that surprised the blue girl.

While he panted heavily, a sound rang out again and a screen appeared before him:
