Eve backed up until she hit the wall, her breath coming in short, panicked gasps.
Dimitri stood in front of her, blocking her escape, his eyes dark with hunger and something else. Something that looked almost like satisfaction.
"You're a monster," she whispered. The words hung between them for a moment.
Then he smiled. It was the most terrifying smile she'd ever seen. Not angry. Not defensive. Just... amused.
"No, baby," he said softly, his hand coming up to cup her face.
"You got it wrong." He leaned in close, his lips brushing her ear.
"I'm the Devil." Before she could respond, his mouth crashed down on hers.
The kiss was brutal, claiming, tasting of violence and possession and dark promises she didn't understand. She should push him away. Should run.
Should do anything except kiss him back. But her body betrayed her. Again.
Her mouth opened for him. Her hands fisted in his shirt. Her hips pressed forward, seeking friction, seeking him.
