(Jay Jay's POV)
The classroom had never been this loud before.
Which was saying a lot…
Because Section E was already known for being the loudest class in the entire school.
But today?
It was complete chaos.
Even after the teacher told everyone to sit down…
People were still whispering.
Still turning around.
Still staring at Keifer and me like we had returned from another planet.
The teacher sighed heavily and placed her books on the desk.
Teacher:
"Can we please behave like civilized students?"
Ci N immediately raised his hand.
Ci N:
"Ma'am we thought they disappeared forever."
The teacher blinked slowly.
Teacher:
"They were gone for three weeks."
Blaster leaned back in his chair dramatically.
Blaster:
"That's suspicious."
Felix nodded seriously.
Felix:
"Very suspicious."
Calix crossed his arms.
Calix:
"They definitely did something illegal."
I slowly turned around in my seat.
Jay:
"You people watch too many crime shows."
Kit raised his hand lazily from the back.
Kit:
"Then explain the mysterious disappearance."
Jay:
"Family problems."
The class went quiet for a moment.
David nodded respectfully.
David:
"That makes sense."
Then Denzel leaned forward.
Denzel:
"…Did you at least bring snacks?"
The class exploded again.
"SNACKS!"
"WHERE ARE THE SNACKS?"
"JAY JAY ALWAYS BRINGS SNACKS!"
Keifer slowly turned toward me.
His eyes narrowed.
Keifer:
"You didn't."
I smiled innocently.
Jay:
"…Maybe."
He closed his eyes for a second.
Like he was questioning all his life choices.
Keifer:
"Five snacks a day."
Jay:
"That rule does not apply in school."
Keifer:
"Yes it does."
Before we could continue arguing…
Eman suddenly appeared beside my desk.
Eman:
"Show us the snacks."
Eran appeared beside him.
Eran:
"Don't hide them."
Rory turned around from the front row.
Rory:
"You brought snacks didn't you."
I slowly opened my bag.
Inside…
Multiple snack packets.
Chocolate bars.
Chips.
Candy.
The entire class gasped like I had revealed treasure.
Ci N stood up dramatically.
Ci N:
"SHE BROUGHT SNACKS!"
The teacher slammed her hand on the desk.
Teacher:
"WHAT IS GOING ON BACK THERE?"
Josh immediately answered.
Josh:
"Snack distribution, ma'am."
The teacher stared at him.
Teacher:
"…Sit down."
Meanwhile Keifer leaned closer to me.
Keifer:
"You're starting a black market."
Jay:
"This is charity."
Felix grabbed a chocolate bar.
Felix:
"You're the best Jay Jay."
Blaster grabbed chips.
Blaster:
"Section E snack queen."
Drew grabbed candy.
Drew:
"We missed you."
David sighed but took a chocolate bar too.
David:
"This class has no discipline."
Keifer pinched the bridge of his nose.
Keifer:
"This is exactly why I made the snack rule."
Jay:
"You're jealous."
Keifer:
"I'm responsible."
Behind us Mayo laughed quietly.
Mayo:
"This class was boring without you two."
Edrix nodded.
Edrix:
"Way too peaceful."
Calix leaned forward with a grin.
Calix:
"So what actually happened?"
The room got quieter.
Everyone waiting.
I exchanged a glance with Keifer.
Jay:
"Long story."
Ci N leaned forward dramatically.
Ci N:
"We have time."
The teacher suddenly spoke again.
Teacher:
"We actually don't."
Everyone jumped slightly.
Teacher:
"Open your books."
Groans filled the classroom.
Blaster collapsed on his desk.
Blaster:
"Education ruins everything."
Josh whispered loudly.
Josh:
"Worth it for snacks."
The class slowly settled down.
For about five minutes.
Then Rory whispered to me.
Rory:
"Are you two dating now?"
Half the class turned again.
Felix whispered loudly.

"They were always dating."
Calix nodded.
Calix:
"Obviously."
Denzel leaned forward.
Denzel:
"How long?"
Keifer sighed.
Keifer:
"This class is unbelievable."
I leaned back in my chair.
Trying not to laugh.
Jay:
"Focus on your studies."
Ci N gasped dramatically.
Ci N:
"JAY JAY SAID STUDIES."
The class erupted again.
The teacher slammed the desk.
Teacher:
"ONE MORE WORD AND EVERYONE STAYS AFTER CLASS."
Silence.
Instant silence.
I leaned toward Keifer.
Jay:
"Normal life."
He smiled slightly.
Keifer:
"Normal chaos."
Across the room Blaster whispered again.
Blaster:
"I still think they joined the mafia."
I buried my face in my hands.
Because somehow…
Returning to Section E was more chaotic than fighting criminals.
And that was honestly impressive.
