Everyone looks at each other with suspicion. Noah tries to think who among them could be the spy?
"Johann:" So… how long until we're there? We've been walking forever.
"Karoschi:" We'll arrive when we arrive.
The group slowly comes to a halt in front of a lake. They move closer and begin drinking water, grateful for the short break.
Karoschi walks over to Noah.
"Karoschi:" Do you have any idea who it might be?
"Noah:" Not really. But if someone starts acting strange… it should become obvious sooner or later.
"Karoschi:" Understood.
As night slowly approaches, the group decides to rest there and sets up their tents.
Anna runs over to Noah and Karoschi, Heinrich right behind her.
"Anna:" We think we know who it is.
"Noah:" Who?
"Anna:" Johann. Think about it he came to our village as a refugee. What if he never was one?
Karoschi nods slowly.
"Karoschi:" You're right. We need someone to keep an eye on him all the time.
"Heinrich:" I'll do it.
"Karoschi:" Good. We'll need a code word for when we're one hundred percent sure.
"Anna:" Raven?
"Noah:" Sounds good to me.
The group slowly lies down to sleep.
Heinrich keeps watching Johann's tent, trying not to be obvious.
After some time, Johann quietly leaves his tent and walks toward the forest.
"Heinrich (whispering):" Raven!
The others wake up immediately.
"Anna:" Are you sure?
"Heinrich:" Yes. He went into the forest.
"Noah:" Okay… what do we do now?
"Karoschi:" We wait until he comes back. Then we grab him, tie him to a tree, and question him.
They wait in silence.
Johann slowly returns and is just about to lie down
Suddenly, the group jumps up, grabs him, drags him to a tree, and ties him tightly.
"Johann:" Uh what the hell is going on?!
"Heinrich:" Shut up. How long have you been spying on us? Or is Johann even your real name?
"Johann:" What?! What are you talking about? I'm not the spy! Are you all stupid or something?!
"Anna:" Oh yeah? Then what were you doing in the forest?
"Johann:" I—I was just looking for food.
"Heinrich:" Yeah, sure. Save the excuse.
Noah stays silent, watching Johann carefully.
"Noah:" Wait here for a moment. I… I need to go to the bathroom.
"Karoschi:" Alright. Take your time.
Noah walks into some bushes on the other side of the lake.
He breathes deeply and thinks.
Something doesn't feel right.
Karoschi saved them before… but where did he get that sword from?
And his eyes yellow. Noah had never seen that before.
And then there was what Karoschi said: that he hadn't seen his parents for decades… even though he was a teenager.
Noah's heart starts pounding.
It becomes clear to him.
Karoschi is the traitor.
Noah turns and starts running back
Suddenly, a sharp pain shoots through his body. He collapses to the ground.
"Karag:" Hahahaha! Do you really think you can save them? They will die because of you because you left them alone.
"Noah:" T–THAT'S NOT TRUE!
"Karag:" Oh, but it is. And I won't let you do anything about it.
Noah tries to block out the voice in his head but he can't.
Karag is too strong.
"Mimic:" Do it now. Kill them this is your chance.
"Karoschi:" B–but I can't… the life I built here… am I supposed to just throw it away?
"Mimic:" Do it, or you'll die too. Once you're done, you can start a new, better life. Just kill them.
"Karoschi:" Y–yes, sir.
Karoschi grips his sword tightly.
His body begins to change.
His true Karagnist form is revealed.
