Chapter 64 - Chapter 64: The Kind Wolf

"Meow~"

Just then, a pure white little cat suddenly appeared from outside the window. Silver Wolf didn't turn around, but she didn't seem surprised; even the window had been left open in advance. Seeing this, the little cat took its time, swaggering into the room.

Its watery eyes gazed at the trashy e-sports girl sitting in the chair. For a moment, it seemed to show a very human-like expression of disgust, but it vanished in the blink of an eye. Then, it naturally leaped up and curled into Silver Wolf's arms.

Silver Wolf glanced down and then ignored it. She didn't mind the cat, but a faint blush appeared on her snow-white cheeks.

"Meow~"

At that moment, the little cat raised its small head to look at the instant noodles on the table and let out a soft, longing cry. Silver Wolf saw this and immediately understood what the little glutton wanted.

"Don't move, it tickles. You're affecting my gaming."

The little cat's body wasn't big, just the right size to curl up on her lap. Although Silver Wolf's face remained expressionless, she snapped her fingers. The trash on the table instantly vanished, reappearing at the garbage disposal area outside the apartment.

'Although using Aether Editing for this is a bit overkill, I have to say it's really convenient.'

Then, several pieces of dried fish appeared in Silver Wolf's hand. She dotingly fed one to the little glutton. The little cat wasn't polite either and readily accepted it. However, the little cat wouldn't be satisfied so easily; it immediately raised its head and stared at Silver Wolf with those watery eyes.

This caused a sweet smile to appear on Silver Wolf's previously indifferent face.

"I really can't do anything with you~"

Silver Wolf didn't feed it directly, but instead held the fish in the air teasingly. The little cat's eyes sparkled as it reached out its small paws to try and grab it, but it just couldn't reach. Seeing this, the doting smile on Silver Wolf's face deepened, but she still fed the fish to the cat.

After several feedings, all the dried fish in her hand had been eaten clean by the little cat. But it didn't seem satisfied yet and continued to meow pitifully.

"Meow~"

Hearing that sweet, tingling cry, Silver Wolf felt her heart melting. Her small hand once again performed some simple manipulations on the void screen. A portion of cat food that had been prepared in advance immediately appeared in Silver Wolf's hand. The cat sniffed and quickly locked onto the source of the aroma.

This time it didn't try to grab it, but instead cleverly nudged Silver Wolf's abdomen with its soft little head. Silver Wolf felt a comfortable, fluffy sensation against her belly. Unable to resist, Silver Wolf dotingly rubbed its soft cat ears.

"Alright, alright, here you go, you little glutton~"

Then she placed the small bowl next to the computer and carried the little cat over. Of course, it was inevitable that she would give it a few pets along the way. After getting onto the table, a hint of shyness seemed to flash in the cat's eyes, but it was quickly attracted by the food and began to feast greedily.

"Eat slowly, little Bai. Once you're full, you're not allowed to disturb my gaming, got it?"

Silver Wolf gently stroked the cat's smooth, delicate back, and regardless of whether it understood, she ignored it for the time being.

Regarding the origin of this snow-white little cat: It could barely be considered the previous 'tenant' of this room. However, after Silver Wolf moved in, she discovered one day that the little cat had sneakily slipped in from the balcony. Unsurprisingly, it was caught by Silver Wolf and given a thorough petting.

After spending several days together, having been domesticated by Silver Wolf, the little cat decided that she was its long-term meal ticket. For Silver Wolf, besides playing games, she usually liked to bury her head in a pillow for a nap or squeeze cute things. So, the little cat naturally became Silver Wolf's 'trophy' and was named little Bai.

However, little Bai was sometimes even freer than a bird, liking to go 'out' on its own. 'No wonder this little glutton could live here for so long.' Silver Wolf sighed inwardly.

Regarding little Bai's past, Silver Wolf did a casual search and found that little Bai had unknowingly lived here for at least two months. Silver Wolf didn't bother to check further back. She estimated in her heart that little Bai might be a house cat abandoned by someone else. Thinking of this, Silver Wolf couldn't help but reach out and rub little Bai's head again, a smile appearing on her lips.

"Anyway, it's my gain now."

..."Hmph! Check your corners! How did the three of you get wiped out by a camper? What else can you do besides crying for your mama? Forget it, I'm done for now."

Silver Wolf exited the game and took off her headphones with an angry expression. But after performing some simple operations on the computer, she stared blankly at the ceiling. Silver Wolf, who initially thought she could dominate the game, expressed deep confusion. The entire little loli seemed to have completely lost hope.

"Even though my gaming skills have improved a lot compared to my previous life, why does playing these games still feel so heartbreaking?" Silver Wolf sighed helplessly.

Fortunately, as a gaming enthusiast, Silver Wolf had good gaming sportsmanship. Even though her teammates had dealt her a heavy blow, Silver Wolf still chose to smile. In the end, she merely used the backend to secretly gift each of those teammates a special one-year gift pack (ban).

"I can be considered to have done a good deed for thousands of players, providing everyone with a better gaming environment." Thinking this, Silver Wolf couldn't help but feel heartfelt joy for her act of kindness.

"Meow~"

Just then, little Bai, who had already finished its lunch, seemed to have noticed Silver Wolf's situation. It jumped into Silver Wolf's arms again, nudging her affectionately to comfort her in its own way.

Silver Wolf (๑˙ー˙๑): 'Am I being comforted by a cat?'

She found it a bit amusing for a moment, while a surge of warmth rose in her heart. Silver Wolf picked up little Bai and said in a gentle tone: "Thank you, little Bai. Since you're being so gentle, you won't mind being my pillow for a while, right?"

"Meow~"

"You agreed! That's wonderful! Good afternoon~"

Then, before little Bai could react, Silver Wolf took little Bai straight to the bed, and in the blink of an eye, the latter became a soft and comfortable pillow.

little Bai (゜ロ゜): Why don't you listen to yourself and see if that's even human language?

However, before Silver Wolf could fall asleep, a message suddenly arrived.

Sister Acheron: Do me a favor.

Silver Wolf (⊙o⊙)?: What now?

Silver Wolf, who was about to sleep, intended to wait until after her nap, but she had just replied with words preparing to refuse. But Sister Acheron's next sentence cut off her retreat immediately.

Sister Acheron: It just so happens that you seemed to have borrowed quite a bit of money from me before.

Silver Wolf (●—●): ...
