Victor still had not told the truth about having returned from the future.
Not because he had given up on the idea, nor because he did not trust Carmilla, Scarlet, Serafall, or the other people who were now part of his life. In truth, after everything that had happened over the last few months, hiding it was becoming increasingly difficult. Some questions had already been asked, some suspicions had begun to emerge, and Rowena had come far too close to the truth without even realizing it.
Even so, Victor continued keeping that secret for one very simple reason: he did not want to turn everything into chaos before the moment that actually mattered.
