Chapter 159 - Chapter 156: Stop! If You Keep Hitting Me, I’m Going to Die!

[World-Class Item: Depiction of Nature and Society]

The battle was already underway. Within one of the hundred small worlds, a barren, lifeless realm…

Two pitch-black dragon silhouettes tore through the sky, ripping apart the atmosphere. Deafening roars echoed as they clashed again and again high above.

One was wreathed in black mist, a curse made tangible, the power known as Catastrophe.

It was born from the hatred and resentment left behind when a world was destroyed.

The other shimmered with seven-colored radiance: fire, lightning, water, wind, earth, ice, wood.

The seven elements bent to its will, turning it into a walking natural disaster.

Catastrophe Dragon Lord.

Brightness Dragon Lord.

The two unleashed their strength without restraint, their massive bodies colliding head-on. With both Dragon Lords holding nothing back, the entire small world trembled.

Every impact sent ripples through space itself, as though it were on the verge of collapse.

The instant they made contact, the sound of bones cracking rang out repeatedly. Amid thunderous roars, blood and dragon scales rained across the land.

"Damn it… the gap in physical strength is this wide?"

After another collision, wrapped in elemental power, the Brightness Dragon Lord spat out a mouthful of Dragon Blood, his expression grim.

He glanced at his own battered body, then at Naohara, who stood completely unscathed opposite him.

There was no denying it.

He had lost. In a contest of raw physical power, he had been utterly defeated.

"You have no chance against me in close combat. Even I don't know what the limit of this dragon body is anymore."

Naohara shook his jet-black head and spoke frankly.

Before coming to this world, he had spent a long time grinding the passive skill [Dragon Blood Sacrifice].

Not to mention that he had recently bathed in the Dragon Blood of the Platinum Dragon Lord, pushing his body to an entirely new level.

Among the True Dragon Lords of this world, only someone like the Heavenly Dragon Lord, who had maximized defense, could trade blows with him in melee.

"I was careless."

Even as they spoke, the True Dragon Lord's powerful vitality had already stopped the bleeding.

Having learned his lesson, the Brightness Dragon Lord gave up on continuing the close-quarters fight and began burning the souls he had stored.

The contest of bodies was over.

Now came the clash of magic.

Waves of Wild Magic spread outward, and the seven elements that had surrounded his dragon body began to converge.

[High-Tier Wild Magic: Elemental Explosion]

Blinding seven-colored light erupted from the Brightness Dragon Lord as its center, instantly engulfing the surrounding area and rapidly expanding toward Naohara.

The energy fluctuations far surpassed 10th-Tier [Tier Magic], and even most [Super-Tier Magic] could not compare.

"Elemental Wild Magic, huh?"

Facing this high-tier Wild Magic, Naohara did not dodge. He simply hovered in place and let out a low murmur.

A hint of madness flickered across his ferocious dragon face.

"Then let me test just how powerful it is."

The three pairs of dragon wings on his back moved slightly, and Naohara shot straight toward the very center of the seven-colored radiance.

[Descent of the Catastrophe God]

[Dragon God Dive]

Black mist condensed into pitch-black flames that wrapped around his dragon body. With a piercing shriek that tore through the air, a streak of light trailing a long afterimage cut across the sky.

In that instant, the world seemed to lose all color, leaving only this scene. Beneath its dazzling surface lay power capable of destroying everything.

[Star-Piercing Strike!]

Naohara plunged headfirst into the seven-colored light. It was like a drop of boiling oil splashing into water, instantly triggering a violent clash.

Curse versus element.

As the two utterly different forces collided at point-blank range, the entire small world fell into a sudden, oppressive silence.

"Boom!"

The next moment, a thunderous explosion resounded across the heavens. A terrifying tide of energy burst outward, sweeping through every corner of the small world.

"Crack! Crack!"

At the heart of the explosion, sharp shattering sounds rang out. Space itself, once intangible and unreachable, now resembled a fractured mirror, dense cracks spreading across its surface.

A burst of laughter echoed within the raging energy. A dragon claw wreathed in pitch-black flames thrust forward and, under the Brightness Dragon Lord's incredulous gaze, seized him firmly.

The overwhelming force tore at the atmosphere, turning the two dragons into a meteor that shot toward the sky.

Like the final straw on an already strained void, the overburdened space finally shattered completely.

Pitch-black spatial vortices appeared one after another, greedily devouring everything within this small world.

This small world, born from a World-Class Item, was already heading toward destruction.

A streak of jet-black light, mixed with the Brightness Dragon Lord's furious roar, plunged without hesitation into one of the spatial vortices.

"Hahaha, that's it! My blood… my blood is boiling!"

"Entertain me. Entertain me even more!"

They burst through the spatial vortex and arrived in a dazzling starry sky, the space between the one hundred small worlds within [Depiction of Nature and Society].

Ninety-nine stars shimmered faintly in the void, representing the remaining ninety-nine small worlds.

Naohara seized the Brightness Dragon Lord and hurled him violently toward the nearest star.

[Catastrophe Breath]

Cursed flames gathered within his dragon maw. Empowered by the force of Catastrophe, a jet-black beam of light erupted forth.

Caught off guard, the Brightness Dragon Lord could only frantically gather elemental power, forming a circular shield around himself.

"I surr—"

He had just opened his blood-soaked mouth when the black pillar of light descended from above, swallowing him whole.

The beam drove him downward, slamming him straight into a thin membrane. It was the world barrier of one of the small worlds.

His wounds tore open again, and scorching Dragon Blood poured down in streams.

The Brightness Dragon Lord lay sprawled against the barrier, struggling to maintain his shield against the terrifying breath attack.

After what felt like an eternity, the beam finally dissipated. The dazed Brightness Dragon Lord jolted slightly.

"Stop… I…"

Before he could finish, a dragon fist wrapped in black mist smashed down on him.

"Hahaha! More! Keep going!"

Naohara roared with laughter.

He was completely intoxicated by the fight, Dragon Blood roaring through his veins, his desire for battle surging uncontrollably.

The Brightness Dragon Lord's words barely registered. One curse-laden dragon fist after another rained down.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

From a distance, it looked like a pitch-black demonic dragon relentlessly hammering at a barrier, while the giant dragon trapped within trembled helplessly.

Fortunately, [Depiction of Nature and Society] had no viewing function. If the Heavenly Dragon Lord had seen this, he would not have been calmly chatting with Momonga and Herohero.

He would have fired off a Wild Magic spell and fought them to the death.

Wasn't this supposed to be a friendly spar?

"You call this sparring?"

"Don't… don't…"

After some time, the madness in Naohara's eyes gradually faded. The boiling Dragon Blood within him slowly calmed.

Before he could fully piece together what had just happened, a faint voice drifted into his ears. He instinctively looked down.

The Brightness Dragon Lord lay there, on the verge of losing consciousness. The light had vanished from his eyes, and he was muttering weakly.

"Don't… don't hit me anymore. If you keep hitting me… I'll die…"

"Ah…"

Naohara froze.

He glanced at himself, and the memory of what he had just done came rushing back.

"I think… I got a little carried away…"

He hurriedly returned to human form, immediately feeling a sharp headache.

The Brightness Dragon Lord was not the Platinum Dragon Lord. This was a spar, not a life-or-death battle. Beating him into this state was clearly too much.

Taking out the [Dragon Destruction Sword], Naohara thrust it into the barrier before him, shattering it.

He grabbed the Brightness Dragon Lord's jaws and began pouring healing potions down his throat.

"Hey, don't die on me. If you die, this is going to be a huge problem."

"I don't know high-tier resurrection magic!"

Back when building his character, Naohara had not learned resurrection spells for others in order to maximize his combat strength.

After all, the Dragonslayer class skill [Undying Dragon Soul] already granted him three lives. There was no reason to waste a magic slot on reviving others.

He kept pulling potions from his inventory, all high-tier and in every color imaginable. Some restored HP, some healed the soul, others removed negative statuses.

Light began to glow from the Brightness Dragon Lord's body.

His shattered wounds rapidly closed, and even his overdrawn Dragon Soul began to recover.

After a long while, the Brightness Dragon Lord's consciousness slowly returned, and he opened his eyes.

"Dragon God… have you come to take me away?"

Staring at Naohara's blurry figure, he murmured weakly.

Before Naohara could feel relieved, the Brightness Dragon Lord's head tilted to the side.

He fainted again.

Naohara: "Damn it!"
