Renner was undoubtedly a genius in the truest sense of the word.
Her talents lay in her ability to think, observe, perceive, imagine, and understand. Nearly every ability related to cognition was extraordinarily developed.
On the surface, she appeared to be a young girl who possessed beauty, intelligence, kindness, and innocence all at once. She even seemed to harbor secret feelings for her personal bodyguard, Climb.
But beneath that exterior, she was a monster wearing human skin, dark to the very core.
Her love for Climb was deeply twisted. She saw him not as an equal, but more like a beloved pet, while the lives of everyone else meant nothing to her.
She was the culmination of several extremes.
This could be summarized in two points.
First, she combined many elements into one person, including yandere tendencies, betrayal of her own nation, and a complete disregard for ordinary morality.
Second, she pushed each of those traits to their absolute limits.
For example, most yandere characters would never treat the person they loved like a dog. A typical example is Yuno Gasai.
Someone who betrays their country usually does so for some greater cause rather than personal desire, like Suzaku Kururugi.
And even people who abandon their humanity usually still maintain their pride instead of lowering themselves to serve someone else as a subordinate, like Dio.
But Renner was different.
Every one of those traits in her had fallen to an extreme with no bottom line whatsoever.
And she was still only a teenage girl.
From that perspective, Renner could be considered unprecedented. As for anyone surpassing her in the future, that would likely be extremely difficult.
Incidentally, why didn't Renner have a "corruption" attribute?
The reason was simple.
A person could only become corrupted if they had once been pure.
Renner, however, had been completely dark from the very beginning.
She had never been pure in the first place, so there was nothing to corrupt.
An existence like that would be terrifying as an enemy.
But if she stood on your side, it was a completely different matter.
"From here on, I'll have to trouble you to continue playing your role. Help guide Keno through her psychological issues and keep her from feeling too much pressure."
Keno was not Renner. The difference in age alone could not make up for the gap in their mental maturity. In that regard, the difference between them was enormous.
For example, Renner was able to adapt quickly to the new environment of Nazarick, but Keno could not.
Considering how surreal her recent experiences had been, Naohara was worried that she might overthink things and end up building a painful mental barrier for herself.
Because of that, he specifically asked Renner to help guide her.
At a time like this, someone who had once been her friend and was also a woman like Renner was undoubtedly the most suitable choice.
"You're too kind."
"Acting? Everything I said came from the heart."
Renner tilted her head slightly and responded in a soft voice.
She was not lying. She truly meant what she said.
"Then I've really caused you a lot of trouble."
"You flatter me."
The two of them shared a knowing smile.
Although the scene looked perfectly ordinary, there was a subtle meaning hidden beneath it.
Renner walked behind Naohara and gently began massaging his shoulders.
She liked the atmosphere right now.
Whenever she spoke with him, she always felt unusually relaxed.
Perhaps this was the loneliness shared by geniuses.
"How has the Sorcerer Kingdom been lately?"
Naohara asked.
He did not refuse Renner's actions.
"Overall, there are no major problems. Most of the policies have already been finalized, and the construction of the Magic Academy is progressing steadily. However…"
Renner answered calmly.
She then gestured for Naohara to pick up the scroll lying on the table.
It recorded the results of her work during this period.
From the contents of the original policies, to investigations and analysis tailored to different regions, and even a detailed breakdown of the strengths and weaknesses of the new policies.
"However, what?"
Naohara's eyes shifted slightly. It took him only three seconds to read through the entire document before he nodded.
It really was excellent.
Even the smallest details had been taken into account, and each one included a proposed solution.
"The policies themselves aren't the problem. The issue lies with the Magic Academy proposal. Some difficulties appeared during its implementation."
"Such as?"
"The main problem is with faculty. The Sorcerer Kingdom was established on the foundation of the Argland Council State, where demihumans make up a large portion of the population."
"Most of them are illiterate, which means we can't find enough qualified teachers."
"On top of that, we're planning to build branch academies in the Empire and the Dragon Kingdom. That only makes the shortage of personnel worse."
Renner shook her head helplessly.
The Argland Council State had once been ruled by several Dragon Lords and had grown in a largely uncontrolled way. Education had never been considered important.
There was another problem Renner did not mention directly.
The conflicts between different races.
To put it simply, racial discrimination.
For example, if you asked a rabbitman to teach a werewolf, the result would be obvious.
They probably would not start fighting, since the Quagoa in the guard units were not weak enough to allow that.
But an argument would almost certainly break out.
"That really is a problem."
Naohara glanced at Renner.
"But judging by your expression, you already have a solution, don't you?"
Her expression clearly suggested that she had already thought of a plan and was simply waiting for his approval.
"It's not really a solution. It's more like using force to deal with force."
"Here are the profiles of several candidates. I want to recruit them as instructors for the Magic Academy."
"However, the final decision still rests with you."
Renner's idea was straightforward.
Since demihumans respected strength above all else, they could address the issue from that angle.
First solve the immediate problem.
Future adjustments could be made after the academy was properly established.
"Let me take a look."
Naohara opened the notebook. Inside was a densely packed list of names.
Each entry contained detailed information about the individual.
Even the weakest among them was around Level 25 and possessed some educational background.
Not exceptional, but certainly good enough.
"Ilsayas Naiakut. Race: Dragonoid. Extremely high dragon blood purity. Estimated strength between Level 34 and 39. Capable of Fourth Tier magic. Meets teaching standards. Suspected descendant of the Brightness Dragon Lord?"
"Minotaur. Strength between Level 32 and 34. Capable of Fourth Tier magic. Meets teaching standards. Claims to come from the Central Continent while searching for compatriots."
"Ninya. Human. Strength above Level 40. Capable of Sixth Tier magic. Meets teaching standards. Has several adventurer companions."
…
Naohara's expression shifted slightly before he closed the notebook.
"Who is the official headmaster of the Magic Academy?"
"There isn't one yet. However, Herohero-sama has already reserved the position."
Renner said this with a light smile, as if implying that he had arrived a step too late.
"I see… In that case, proceed according to your plan."
Naohara's mouth twitched slightly.
Herohero really did move fast.
Hopefully no strange academy ghost stories would appear later.
"You've already reviewed the earlier report, correct?"
"Regarding the alliance with the Slane Theocracy, do not take any action for now. Wait until the war between the Theocracy and the Elf Country ends."
"If nothing unexpected happens, you will have full freedom to act at that time. There is no need to worry about any consequences."
After dealing with matters related to the Sorcerer Kingdom, Naohara finally mentioned the other purpose of his visit.
"Understood. I will follow your orders."
Renner's eyes flickered slightly when she heard that.
She understood the meaning behind his words.
The Theocracy?
How interesting.
"Alright, that's all for now."
"I'm heading back to Nazarick. If anything comes up, just contact me with Message."
"I'll leave Keno in your care."
Naohara stretched lazily. After giving a brief signal, he used teleportation magic and disappeared.
