Camille's POV
I did my stretches and crunches in preparation for our practice march when I felt someone behind me
"mind if I join you?"
I looked back at the person behind my with a polite smile "of course"
"I'm River,River Bandile"
"Camille Morgan" I stated extending a hand which she gingerly took,River was a 5'8, beautiful chocolatey specimen with the brightest eyes and a luscious amount of hair tucked in a fro bun with white band on her head "I've been wanting to talk to you for something but the opportunity never really presented itself till now"
I smiled at her words while she joined me as I stretched one leg after the other
"I'm glad it did then, I didn't know a girl could bear River"
she chuckled at my words "well my parents obviously didn't mind that,my Dad says it's never about the name but about who bears It"
"your dad has a point"
"you think so?"
"bet" at the sound of the whistle we stood upright "lets smash it on the court today"
I nodded in agreement and we first bumped on its getting into our assigned places for the match to begin.

The match concluded with a 12-9,my team got the shorter end of the the stick this time
but it was a good game and I enjoyed every bit of it "good game huh?" River hollered jogging up to me with a bright smile as some of my teammates gave me first bumps "it was,but I hat losing"
she chuckled at my words "of course you do" she taunted making my playfully roll my eyes "anyways there's this little frat party tonight, wanna come?"
"a frat party?"
"Yeah,it's happening near the bar at the other side of campus"
To be honest,I hadn't really partied for a brief while and right now was the time for it
"Can I bring friends?"

"I'll be there" I scanned the far end of the court to the boys side and I spotted Andre whispering something to Captain Levi while the took notes,we were literally on the same court but couldn't talk for now.
How sad was that
"Cool,see you by 7pm?" I just hoped he'd miraculously be at this frat party and if not I'd plan a visit,I wanted to see him, we'd been seeing each other but just a few days of not seeing didn't make it feel enough and I didn't want to come off..... clingy but I needed to see him.

The whole place was bustling with people from both campus and outside of it,the whole stage was lit with orange stage lights, speakers with music booming out of them and a drinks and barbecue buffet not to mention the insane can of beer tower at the far end of the buffet "see you already feeling the vibes" River's voice brought me
back to the present flashing her a smile
"It sure is,what fraternity organized this?"

"Wow,I didn't think they'd have this much influence after all they keep a low profile"
"It's part of the appeal,you get that typa thing?" she explained with a giggle
"Oh,River meet my best friend Lucy" I introduced swiftly as I put an arm over her while I looked around hoping to see him, hopefully he was here but I saw no sign of him

"soooo, who's performing tonight....I see a stage and all" Lucy asked curiously
"You'll find out soon enough" she stated shaking her shoulders as "Distraction" by kehlani blasted round the whole place making Luce and I chuckle as we joined in feeling the bass and beat of the music with my frilly sequin skirt moving to the rhythm my waist provided it. soon enough,River left us to receive her other friends promising to be back "I like her" Lucy stated as we saw her retreating figure in the crowd making me smile as we walked to the beer tower to take pictures while I looked around once again and still no sign of him.
Guess,he wasn't going to be here
"I'm glad you do" I replied handing my phone to a guy who was sweet enough to want to help out Instagram picture worthy journey
"But you're mine,I won't let her have you not with all that swag on her" Lucy whispered to me as we closed in for a pic making me chuckle at her goofy words as the camera clicked
"It's okay,I'm all yours love" I teased making her smirk as we served more poses before taking individual pics and thanking sweet Haru for taking our pictures.

"West Hill! make some noiseeee" we turned to the stage to sight a tall glass of chocolate,low punk cut,full lips and the cutest smile not to mention the coolest of grills I'd seen shining in the orange light and the crowd obeyed his command making hollering loud as we scooted closer to the stage
"I'm Leon Carter, President of the and welcome to black out!" and the crowd went wild "aight,see y'all got spirit" he teased making a good number of the crowd chuckle "so in that same spirit,give it up for an example of black excellence,give it up for Jabari"
Who's Jabari?
regardless of the fact I didn't know the musician,I cheered like every other person as he got on stage looking dapper as he and Leon shared a hug before leaving the the stage for the star.
As he took of his hood,my mouth made and O shape as I was literally gagged
"Oh my God, that's Will from Bel air!" I squealed "from what?" Lucy questioned as her body began to the feel the music
"Bel Air,I binged watched that series back in the UK,I had no idea he was a singer" I stated as surprise and excitement coated my voice making me smile wildly as we danced looking at the crowd hoping to spot him for the upteenth time tonight and yet to no avail "fuck this" I muttered to myself,I was out here to have fun while he was the secondary part of this whole thing so I wouldn't be bothered and have fun!
I joined the crowd in there swaggy,vibey dance having the time of my life
"he's actually so good" Lucy yelled over the music
"he is"I yelled back making her laugh having a little hip-hop dance moment with Lucy trying out my every move with the composure of a two year old making me laugh hard holding our beer cans in the air
"I already know if you send that text, we gonna mess around and have makeup sex"
the crowd yelled the chorus of the song making even those who didn't know the song which included me but who cared?!
Over an hour of music, dancing and videos later Jabari began singing a song that made the crowd go bonkers and I'll admit the song was just that good,I'd heard it on Spotify recommendations a while back not knowing the artist.
"I'll go get us meat" I simply nodded at Lucy's words and there I was feeling it when I bumped into a hard rock chest accompanied by a firm hand gently steadying me at the hip. Without even looking,my body remembered who it was
"hey Hazel" he whispered fondly as I looked up at him and all I could do was smile back "so you're here!" I finally said forgetting I was still in his hold as I continued moving my body with the lyrics of the music resonating

"Beck invited me" I nodded as we both swayed to the music
"You like?" I asked waiting for his thoughts on the party as I watched his green eyes intently focused on me "I do" I smiled wider as his hands wrapped around waist as I my back sunk deeper to his chest.

For some unexplained reason,I felt oddly comfortable in his arms like...I was right where I needed to be and I had no way to understand it but there was no need thinking about it not tonight at least.

Alot of people were on some major bumping and grinding shit,girls grinding hard on guys but Andre and I were just on the intimate bop vibe avoiding being inappropriate.
