They continued walking, searching for some kind of passage that would lead them to their destination.

Along the way, they admired the old architecture of the capital castle of Axorhibis, which inside was a luxurious palace that reflected the life of the king who once ruled these lands.

On both sides, massive walls rose—excessively detailed with hand-carved stone and marble bricks that formed a structure now corroded by the ash curse.

Tattered dark blue banners still hung quietly from the walls. There were decorations of empty suits of armor and the occasional chandelier made of crystal and metal that had fallen to the ground long ago.

From time to time, they came across works of art depicting the Goddess of Light, which, as expected, had been slowly devoured by ash. These were murals carved into the walls, all centered around the same deity.
