Chapter 32 - Ch 32 (Memories)

…Nehil is surprised as he looks at Hans, and then Nehil says: Just tell me, what did I do to you? Suddenly, Hans enters a door he created, and then suddenly appears behind Nehil and says: Don't you remember what you did? And don't you remember what was with you that you obtained? Then Nehil quickly steps back as Hans stands and says: You were my old friend, Anos. Why, what made you do that? Then Nehil says: I don't understand, what do you mean? I am not Anos. Then Hans becomes angry and says: Enough chatter, Anos. You have no chance against me. I am from the Flame of the Seventh Sequence of the Path of Doors. It is the Flame of Brilliance. Suddenly, many doors appear around Nehil, and then Hans appears, flying in the sky. Then Hans says: Let's end this, my old friend. The notebook of yours in which you wrote those things was what caused us to part. Let's end this. As tension appears on Nehil, suddenly those doors open. Then Hans laughs and says: Don't worry, inside each door is an infinite world different from this world in all laws, concepts, and everything. They are the branch worlds, Anos. I don't even know what entities will emerge from those doors. Nehil is surprised as he says to himself [Doors! Infinite worlds!] Then Nehil says: You can travel between those worlds, is that right? Hans smiles and says: Yes, it's dangerous information. Everyone thinks they are just illusions I create with my power, but in reality, they are actual worlds. I can travel between them through my Path, the Path of Doors, and at the same time, you cannot catch me. There are infinite doors; I can go anywhere I want. And suddenly, Nehil looks at one of the doors that is opening slowly, and suddenly he sees a squid-like creature sitting in her sleeping chamber while her husband is beside her. Suddenly the husband becomes angry and speaks in a strange language: !$&# Nehil is surprised, and suddenly one of the arms of this strange entity extends towards Nehil at incredible speed, a hand that expands according to the user's will. Then Nehil quickly says [Ruler of Beginning and End]..

…Suddenly, the Fool appears with the golden light in his eye and the transcendent golden mist surrounding him, and suddenly tentacles appear and quickly close all the doors while the Fool leaps and exits from that ring composed of many doors surrounding him. Then Hans is surprised and says to himself [What is this?! I don't remember Anos ever having something like this before]. Then the Fool speaks in a strange voice unlike any other entity: Come down here, you. Hans laughs and says: Do you think I'm afraid of you, you boy from the Ninth Sequence of the Path of Divination? You've amazed me; I didn't know you had a strange technique like that. Suddenly a door appears behind the Fool, and Hans emerges from it quickly and strikes the Fool powerfully, who deflects the blow as many doors appear. Hans moves between them and strikes the Fool with incredible speed, laughing and saying: I didn't think you had such resistance. Suddenly Hans doesn't finish his words, and then the golden mist transforms into tentacles that grab Hans. Then the Fool turns and looks at Hans with his golden eye, and suddenly a golden sparkle like countless swords emerges from the eye and attacks Hans' face, breaking his mask. Then Hans retreats, anger appearing on him. Then the Fool's body trembles slightly as Nehil speaks from within him, saying: I can't endure anymore. Try to finish it quickly, please. Then the Fool replies to him, saying: He is indeed strong, but my abilities are stronger. Then Hans speaks, saying: You broke my mask, then this is your end, you wretch. Let's finish this now. Suddenly a blue brilliance extends from Hans' hand and transforms into many ropes capable of cutting objects of infinite hardness. Hans directs these ropes towards the Fool as the Fool moves with incredible speed, surpassing those ropes that are faster than light, as light in this world is not like light in the physical world which travels approximately 300 thousand kilometers per second; rather, light in this world is a different concept, and its speed exceeds billions of Rayo units, which fall under Rayo's theory of large numbers. Then the Fool says [I must finish this quickly]. Suddenly, while Hans is laughing, one of the tentacles pierces Hans' abdomen, greatly surprising him. Then the Fool says: This is over, you. Then Hans, fear appearing on him, says: You! You are not Anos. Who the hell are you? Suddenly the Fool transforms the golden mist into a massive dragon hand and says: I am the Fool. Suddenly the Fool brings the hand down on Hans, causing him to explode. Then Nehil falls as the Fool returns to his consciousness. As Nehil lies on the ground looking at the sky, feeling exhausted, he says: Haha, I defeated someone from the Seventh Sequence. Then the Fool replies: Not you, but me, hahaha. Nehil laughs and replies to him: In the end, you and I are one, hahaha…

…All the doors disappear, and then Nehil sighs and stands as he approaches Hans, who has been flattened to the ground. Nehil sees him like a bag and opens it to find inside a book, strange dust, and many other things. Then Nehil says to himself [A star bag, it seems you can put an infinite number of things inside it]. Then Nehil takes the book out of the star bag and brings the bag close to Hans, and suddenly it devours him inside, while all traces disappear. Then Nehil takes the book and the bag and heads home…

…And while it is 3 AM, Nehil feels sleepy along with some curiosity to know what is inside that notebook that belonged to Anos. Then Nehil closes the door to his house and sits in the room. With the light of the black moon, Nehil sits, appearing miserable. Then he opens the pages of the notebook and flips through the pages randomly. Suddenly, sleepiness disappears from his eyes as he is shocked to see blood on one of the pages with strange words and a phrase written in blood at the bottom: "Everyone will die, including me. Whoever said the Eight Gods are the highest thing in existence is just a babbling fool." Nehil is surprised and says to himself [He is close to reaching the truth that Victor reached: that existence is an infinite chain of worlds, each world seeing the world below it as merely an illusion, as it surpasses it existentially. And the gods, from my perspective, cannot be called gods; they are just powerful entities, no more. The true God is one, with no partner]. Nehil sits, moving his pen left and right, as no sound is heard except the sound of his intertwined thoughts [It seems Anos' death was not an ordinary death at all. Could there be interference from one of the gods? Also, this god called Amun, I must be completely wary of him. This entity moves everything from behind the curtain]. As the clock hands move quickly, Nehil leaves the notebook, puts it inside the star bag, and goes to sleep on the bed…

…And in a completely different place, a mysterious person from the Twilight Organization appears before his lady, the branch council of the Eternal Demoness Organization. Then the lady says: So he died, is that right, Nevil? Then Nevil says with cunning: Yes, my lady, exactly as you expected. That strange boy killed him. The lady smiles and says: He is obstructing our path. Don't worry, this traitor to the Twilight Organization will be dealt with by one of the commanders. Also, Commander, tell me, is everything going as planned? The commander smiles and says: Yes, my lady. The pregnant woman whose husband fled days ago is already deteriorating, and soon the time will come within weeks only, my lady. The lady smiles as she sits on a throne, holding one of the large spiders—each one the size of a fist—and devours it as the commander leaves her presence…

…And after several hours, Nehil wakes up and goes to meet Julia after spending several hours at the medical clinic. As Nehil walks with Julia, who has a beautiful dog—he picked her up from the clinic as she loves to bring her dog with her to walk her home—Nehil bids farewell to Ms. Julia. As Nehil moves, thinking about something [Last time, that strange lady who made Hyeon cut his hand, and Hans' death and his connection to Anos, there's a thread I'm about to grasp]. Suddenly, Hyeon appears before Nehil and says: What are you doing out on the streets like this? Nehil startles and says: You scared me. Why do you always appear to me like a strand of hair stuck in dough? Hyeon laughs and says: Lord Azik wants you for something very important. Nehil tenses up and then leaves with Hyeon…

…After half an hour, Nehil arrives while Hyeon waits outside, and Nehil enters room number 10. Then Nehil sees Lord Azik looking at the glass wall overlooking the sea, a cigarette in his mouth. Then Azik says: There is something very important. Do you know what it is? Then Nehil says: No, what is it? Then Azik says: There is a man named Edward who is a teacher to you. Nehil is surprised and tries to speak, but suddenly Azik says: Don't speak, I know what you're going to say. Although you are not Anos, for whom this man Edward was a teacher, Edward himself, after several investigations, we discovered he doesn't know about Anos' death, and we need a lot of data. So you must go to his house today. Also, don't worry, he loves Anos deeply, so don't be nervous. Also, try to use your mind when speaking with him and don't mess things up. Sir Edward is very powerful; he is a person from the Path of Death…

…Nehil swallows and says: Okay, Lord Azik. Then Azik gives him a paper with Edward's address and says: He gave you a week's leave, so he has no problem with your absence all this time. Now go. Nehil tenses up a little, then sighs, saying: Okay, Lord Azik, no problem. Then Nehil heads to Sir Edward's address on Eighth Street in a district called Vanzolda. Then Nehil stands at the door and knocks, noticing that the door is open! Then Nehil enters inside to see dust and many books. He picks up one of the books and sees strange writings on the wall behind the curtain, as if written in blood, greatly surprising him. Suddenly Edward appears behind him and says: What are you doing here, Anos? Nehil is surprised and looks at him, saying nervously: I... I'm just reading this book, Sir Edward. Can I take it with me? Then Edward says: No, sit here and read it. Nehil tenses up as Edward continues speaking: Do you want tea? Nehil says: Okay, Sir Edward. Then Edward goes to prepare tea while Nehil holds the book titled "The Hornasis Mountain Range." Nehil reads some things in the book [Hmm, the Hornasis Mountain Range—that strange word the clown spoke when I killed him. Of course, it wasn't a coincidence. I must cut this important page and take it with me]. Suddenly Edward appears before him, and Nehil cannot cut the page. He puts the book aside as Edward sits in the chair opposite him, appearing strange, sad, and confused, with slightly long brown hair, wearing organization clothes and a black hat. Then Edward says: How many spoonfuls of sugar do you want? Nehil says: One spoonful, Sir Edward. Edward is silent for a moment and says: Strange! You always used to want two spoonfuls in your tea. Nehil tenses up and says: I'm on a diet, sir, haha…

…The red, blood-like writings appear from behind the curtain again due to the wind. Then Edward says: I know you're wondering what those things are. As Nehil stands looking at them, Edward stands beside him and says: I don't remember many things. Whenever I remember something, I write it on the wall so I don't forget it. Then Edward says: Follow me, Anos. Nehil tenses up a little and says: To where? Edward says: You'll know when we get there. Then Nehil and Edward walk through a large field full of golden wheat under the bright, beautiful sun. As they move, they reach a huge, forgotten castle that appears to have been worn down by time. Edward looks at it, remembering many things, and then shares his memories with Nehil about this place, saying: This castle was very beautiful, and I was very powerful, with countless strong spirit soldiers serving me. I was happy in my home with my wife and son in the castle. After years of this happiness and the child's smile, my wife fell ill due to my own power. I, Edward, Lord of Death, had a toxic power that made my wife ill, while my son, who loved me, when he looked at his father, he didn't see me—he only saw a black thing with a skull face, as if death had consumed me. When I stood atop the castle, I would look at my army extending to the horizon, kneeling before me and under my rule. Then, due to my wife's illness and my son's fear, I decided to leave my sword with my son to protect him, removed my great red armor, and left, never to return. Then Nehil falls silent and doesn't speak…

…As Edward walks, touching places in the castle, remembering the places for horses and stables, and when he used to milk cows with his wife, he doesn't appear sad—it's as if he is always in a single state: always sad, unaffected by more or less. Then Nehil sees a massive, terrifyingly large door. Nehil says to himself [No matter what I do, I won't be able to move it, even if I summon the Fool. How will he open it?] Suddenly, Edward moves only his finger, and the huge door opens. Nehil is surprised by the foul stench and the countless skulls. Edward opens a basement below, and Nehil descends behind him, covering his nose. After a few moments, they reach a place with many black skulls and a large black coffin. Edward opens it to reveal his son's body with the sword in his arms. Nehil looks on, sadness appearing on him. Then Azik says: I miss you, my son Hansen. Nehil remembers the day he, Hyeon, and Azik came to this place when there was a huge black knight carrying the same sword, which scratched Nehil, and Azik and Hyeon defeated him using a strange necklace resembling a sun symbol. He says [This sword was with the knight!] Then Azik says: I will find out who did this to you, my son. Then Azik uses a blood connection ability. Blood emerges from the dead son's body, the sword still in his arms, and coagulates into a large blood sphere. Nehil retreats slightly, and then Azik says: Go to the one who killed my son. Then the blood sphere heads towards Nehil and enters inside him!…

…Nehil is stunned, his pupils dilating, as he looks at Edward, who remains silent, looking at his son's body. Then Edward says: I know it's not you. There is a hidden force behind this matter. Then Edward removes the sword from the coffin, and a very powerful aura emerges, surrounded by terrifying spirit skulls. They disappear as Nehil backs against the wall, and the surrounding skulls shatter from the aura's intensity. Edward places the sword at his side and says: Come, let's leave here. Nehil says: Yes, sir. Outside, by a certain tree, Edward and Nehil stand. Edward says: I do not age, grow older, or die. Every 1000 years, I lose most of my memories except my name, path, and sequence. I am Sequence Five of the Path of Death, the Flame of Skulls. That's why I write those things with the red paint in this castle, at my home, to remember some things. Then Edward says: And now I will go. I'll see you later, Anos. As Edward leaves, he remembers how he awoke in the Path of Death during a huge war between two nations. The enemy nation defeated them, and Edward was among the countless corpses. As the soldiers burned the bodies, suddenly Edward emerged aflame, and behind him formed a massive skeleton exceeding fifty meters, through which Edward annihilated the entire enemy army, over 4000 years ago, surpassing the Path of Death, which cannot be entered through conventional methods like potions…

…Then Nehil sighs and calms down a little, and says: I couldn't get the page or the book, but it's okay; the Fool memorized every word on the page. I'll go home now, let's go. The Fool replies to him, saying: Yes, let's go…
