Chapter 11 — A Day Claimed by the Mind Princess (AU)

The afternoon sun filtered softly through the trees near the Academy training grounds.

Ren sat cross-legged on the grass, directly across from Ino. Their knees almost touched, and their eyes were locked in a fierce staring contest.

Hinata and Sakura stood to the side, serving as official judges.

They had already been staring at each other for ten minutes.

---

"Neither of them blinked yet," Sakura muttered, arms folded.

Hinata nodded softly. "Ren hasn't even moved."

Ino's lips twitched slightly, but she held her composure.

Ren's Six Eyes were active, perceiving the smallest fluctuations in muscle tension, tear production, and breath rhythm.

This was war.

---

Just then—

Naruto came running across the field at full speed and slammed his hand against Ren's back.

"Hey! What are you two staring at each other for?" Naruto asked loudly.

Ren had been so absorbed in the contest that he hadn't sensed Naruto approaching.

---

His concentration shattered.

He blinked.

Ino instantly jumped up in triumph.

"I win!"

Ren sat frozen for a moment, his Six Eyes dimming slowly as his awareness returned to the present.

He had lost.

---

He turned toward Naruto with unmistakable killing intent radiating from his aura.

"Do. You. Understand. What. You. Have. Done." Ren asked, his voice low and heavy.

The temperature around them seemed to drop.

Even Sakura swallowed nervously.

---

He had been so close.

If he had won, Ino would have been his maid for a full day. He had already prepared a special outfit for her—nothing outrageous, just something adorable and teasing enough to make her flustered.

All of it destroyed by Naruto's interruption.

---

Naruto visibly shivered.

"H-Hey bro, relax! I was just curious! Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha."

His laugh was weak.

Very weak.

---

Hinata shook her head gently.

"Sigh… Naruto-kun, that was bad timing. Ren just lost because of you. Now he has to do anything Ino says for twenty-four hours."

Sakura clicked her tongue in irritation.

"And because of you, Ino gets Ren for twenty-four hours. Damn it. We shouldn't have accepted those terms."

---

Naruto slowly processed that information.

Ren had to obey Ino completely for an entire day.

Naruto imagined himself in Ren's position.

He swallowed.

"Hey, I just remembered—I, uh, gotta go. Shikamaru was calling me!"

He ran for his life.

---

Ren sighed deeply.

He truly had missed out on everything.

He even had a costume prepared for Ino, neatly folded and hidden in his storage scroll.

All wasted.

---

He looked at Ino calmly.

"So… when are we starting?"

Ino crossed her arms and smirked mischievously.

"Sunday. Early morning. My room. Breakfast must be ready."

Ren closed his eyes briefly.

"Yes, ma'am."

---

Ino beamed brightly.

She had been planning this ever since they made the bet.

This was going to be perfect.

---

Sunday morning arrived faster than Ren would have preferred.

He woke before sunrise, washed up, and teleported silently to the kitchen using Flying Thunder God.

The house was quiet.

The world still asleep.

---

He prepared a carefully balanced breakfast—fresh miso soup, grilled fish, tamagoyaki, rice shaped neatly, fruit slices arranged aesthetically.

He moved efficiently, almost mechanically.

But there was a faint smile on his face.

---

Using FTG, he sent identical breakfast trays to Hinata and Sakura's homes.

"Hah. Ino didn't say I couldn't send food to Hinata and Sakura," he muttered smugly.

Rules mattered.

Precision mattered.

---

With Ino's tray in hand, he teleported directly into her room.

He knocked first out of courtesy.

Then entered.

---

She was still asleep.

Ren's mouth twitched.

She had forced him to wake up early, cook, and prepare everything.

And she was still sleeping peacefully.

---

"Ino."

No response.

"Ino."

She stirred slightly.

---

Her eyes slowly opened.

For a second, she looked confused.

Then she remembered.

And grinned.

---

"Take me to the bathroom. Wash my teeth."

Ren stared at her in disbelief.

"You really are bold."

Ino only smiled wider.

---

He lifted her in a princess carry and brought her into the bathroom.

Carefully, he brushed her teeth for her while she leaned lazily against him.

"You're enjoying this too much," he muttered.

"Maybe," she replied, voice teasing.

---

The moment brushing was done, she kicked him out.

Ren stood outside the door, arms crossed.

"I could've changed your clothes too, you know."

His voice was deliberately innocent.

---

Ino rolled her eyes from inside.

"You are?"

"Nope."

She laughed softly.

---

When she emerged dressed and radiant, she pointed toward the tray.

"Sit. Eat. And feed me."

She climbed directly into his lap.

Ren sighed.

"You really are bold."

---

He began feeding her bite by bite.

She chewed slowly, savoring both the food and the situation.

"You cook better than my mom," she said smugly.

"That's dangerous praise," Ren replied.

---

After finishing, she turned toward him with bright eyes.

"Let's go to the Fire Capital. It's a date."

Ren stood up and pulled her close by the waist.

She wrapped her arms around him naturally.

---

They vanished in a flash of Flying Thunder God.

Moments later, they appeared near the bustling streets of the Fire Capital.

They immediately used Transformation Jutsu, adopting adult forms to avoid suspicion.

---

The city buzzed with life.

Merchants called out from stalls, lanterns swayed gently, and the aroma of grilled street food filled the air.

Ino grabbed Ren's arm possessively.

"For today, you're my boyfriend-slash-bag-carrier."

Ren nodded solemnly.

"As you command."

---

They shopped endlessly.

Clothes, accessories, sweets, perfumes.

Ren carried every bag without complaint.

Ino occasionally held items against him.

"This would look good on you."

"I doubt that," he replied dryly.

---

After shopping, Ino's eyes sparkled mischievously.

"Hot springs."

Ren blinked once.

"Of course."

---

They entered a luxurious hot spring inn.

Naturally, they bathed separately.

Steam rose gently into the sky as mineral water soothed their muscles.

---

Afterward, they returned to their private room.

Ino lay face-down on a massage table.

"I want a good massage. Use your medical ninjutsu too."

Ren rolled up his sleeves.

"As you wish."

---

He sat gently on her lower back and began working carefully.

Chakra flowed smoothly through his hands, easing muscle tension, enhancing blood circulation, repairing micro-tears.

Ino sighed deeply.

"That feels amazing…"

---

"You've been training too hard," Ren murmured.

"You're the one pushing us," she replied lazily.

"And you keep up."

---

Gradually, her body relaxed completely.

The tension left her shoulders.

Her breathing slowed.

Her heartbeat softened.

---

Ren carefully lifted her and placed her on the bed.

Her head rested on his lap.

He began gently massaging her scalp.

She fell asleep within minutes.

---

Ren looked down at her with open fondness.

His fingers stroked her hair softly, rhythm steady and warm.

Every movement carried affection.

Unspoken devotion.

---

In her sleep, she nuzzled closer to him.

He smiled faintly.

Now the loss didn't feel like a loss at all.

---

"I will always keep you happy," he whispered quietly.

"That's my promise."

He leaned down and kissed her cheek gently.

---

As she slept peacefully, his thoughts drifted elsewhere.

Hinata and Sakura had been training relentlessly.

Pushing themselves without complaint.

They deserved something like this too.

---

"A hot springs date for each of them," he muttered thoughtfully.

"They need time to relax."

He made mental notes.

Careful plans.

Balanced time.

---

Yet his hands never stopped moving.

His eyes never left Ino's peaceful expression.

The world outside faded away.

For now, this quiet moment was enough.

And Ren realized something important.

Sometimes losing… meant winning something better.
