"Frieza is dead," Cooler said.
King Cold's expression didn't change. "You have no evidence of that. Give me proof of evidence, and I'll draw my own."
"His flagship above Planet Shamon was destroyed. Zarbon, Dodoria, and the cold force stationed on that planet were dead. I interrogated the Shamonians when I arrived, but they refused to share anything, so I destroyed the planet."
'No, it can't be.' Indra gripped his hands so hard that he started bleeding; everything in his body was telling him to move and kill Cooler, but he controlled himself.
"It's obvious that something on that planet was capable of killing Frieza, and someone like that is still out there," Cooler said, frowning.
"No," King Cold said. "Only two beings exist in this universe with the capability to kill my son. Beerus, whom Frieza was specifically instructed never to provoke, and whom Frieza is not arrogant enough to cross, and Majin Buu, who is sealed. What most likely happened is that Frieza left. I do admit that I spoiled that child, so maybe he got too arrogant to be under control by his own daddy."
"I see that you have fully made up your mind; it's useless to continue arguing." Cooler said as he left, flying to his ship.
'They protected me, even when they knew they were going die. Cooler, I promise myself that I will avenge them and bring justice to the Shamoians, but I'm still too weak as of right now. I need someone who can teach me fast.' Indra thought as he opened up a rift to Cantina.
---
"I need coordinates to Yardrat. Could you do that for me, please?" Indra said as he opened the door.
Salmina could tell that Indra was pissed and didn't want to decline a person who could probably kill her.
"Hmm, you know what, since you asked nicely, it's on the house," Salmina said as she put a folded piece of paper on the bar table.
Indra quickly left and opened up a rift outside the bar to Planet Yardrat. As soon as he went through the rift, he saw several pink Yardratians staring at him, then small green ones walked in front of them, and one of them stepped up.
"Howdy! welcome to Planet Yardrat, who are you and what do you want?" it said while waving.
"I'm Indra, and I need training from someone here who can teach me so that I can finally end the Cold Force."
The five green ones exchanged looks. Indra knew that they were just copies to intimidate visitors, and they could also most likely sense his ki, which was something he also needed to learn.
Four of the green ones suddenly disappeared in a puff of smoke. "The elder will see you," the last one said. "Follow me."
---
"Indra," the green Yardratian said. "This is Elder Pybara." Pybara was a very large blue Yardratian. Indra stood in front of him with the green Yardratian by his side.
"You want to destroy the Cold Force, but I can see by your expression, young man, that that's not all there is to it, so tell me why," Pybara said.
Indra told him everything about what Frieza and Cooler did to Shamon, and the responsibility he feels to bring an end to them. When Indra finished, Pybara looked saddened.
"Grief makes a poor foundation for power, but resolve makes a good one. Which one is driving you?" Pybara asked.
"Both," Indra replied.
"I see, but before I show you anything, I want you to understand what Spirit Control is. It is the ability to shift, split, and grow your spirit. Everything the Yardrats can do comes from that foundation. Instant teleportation, making copies, and even gigantification."
"You lock onto a ki signature, anywhere in the universe that you can sense, that is the basis of the Instant teleportation," Pybara said as he placed two fingers on his forehead and telaported behind Indra.
"Now I will make copies," Pybara said. Then five more Pybaras suddenly appeared beside him. "Now, for the final showcase, is gigantification, which I've been using since you arrived." His body started getting smaller and smaller until he was the same size as the green Yadratians.
"This is my natural form; it helps with first expression, you can be small and powerful or large and powerful. I prefer the element of surprise, but there is a problem." Pybara said solemnly.
"Your spirit is at war with itself. I can sense it from here, two natures pulling in opposite directions and a mind that does not fully inhabit the body it's in. You have an enormous amount of power with nothing holding it together."
'Is it because of the Otsutsuki nature inside me?' Indra thought.
"Spirit Control," Pybara continued, "means exactly that - controlling your spirit. If your spirit is divided against itself, there is nothing to control. You cannot split what is already fractured. You cannot grow what has no stable form. Before I can teach you anything, you must find balance."
"How long does that take?"
"As long as it takes, it depends entirely on how honest you are willing to be with yourself about what's pulling in opposite directions and in your case, I suspect the conversation has been a long time coming."
