Chapter 7 - Chapter 6 — Several Years Ago

The horse carrying Sancaka galloped out of the forest. Several times the knight turned his head in different directions, making sure their escape route was safe. The horse kept running until the knight finally spotted a group of people gathered ahead. Without hesitation, he guided the horse toward them.

As they got closer, Sancaka recognized the group. There were five local village knights, and his three friends who had joined the adventure in the forest were also there.

As the distance closed, the horse slowed down and eventually stopped. The knight dismounted first, then lifted Sancaka down from the saddle. The moment Sancaka's feet touched the ground, his three friends ran toward him and hugged him tightly.

One of the village knights immediately left to search for other possible victims who might have been attacked by the Kurawa.

The local knights asked about Sancaka's condition—was he injured?

Sancaka smiled and said he was fine after being rescued by the knights. He even proudly told them that he had dared to fight a Kurawa and had managed to cripple one of them.

The experience had terrified Gatot and Tara. They thought Sancaka's actions were far too dangerous. Gatot advised him never to face a Kurawa again.

Abas, however, found the experience amazing. He imagined that one day he might also cut down a Kurawa just like Sancaka had done. Gatot immediately told Abas not to try something that reckless.

"It wasn't just fighting Kurawa," Sancaka said excitedly. "I also met a Dharma hero. The Dharma saved me from the monster."

"What? You really met a hero knight?" Tara asked in surprise."But where is the Dharma? I don't see him," she added.

The three friends looked around in every direction, searching for the legendary knight. But around them they only saw several village knights and one Bhayangkara knight.

"Are you lying?" Abas asked. "We don't see any Dharma knight here."

"I'm telling the truth! I really met a Dharma knight. He saved me from being eaten by the monster," Sancaka insisted.

"I think you're mistaken," Abas said, pointing at the knight who had just rescued Sancaka. The Bhayangkara knight was still standing beside his horse, talking with the village knights.

"You were saved by that Bhayangkara knight."

"Before he helped me, I was saved by the hero knight," Sancaka replied. "He wore golden armor, had a mustache, and looked older—"

Before Sancaka could finish speaking, he heard someone calling his name.

A man ran toward him and immediately pulled him into a tight embrace.

After hearing that several children had been chased by Kurawa in the forest, Sancaka's father had left his patrol area and rushed there. At first he was shocked to hear that Sancaka had gone into the forest with his friends without telling anyone.

Sancaka explained that he had brought his friends into the forest to show them a bird-of-paradise he had discovered.

At first, his father didn't believe that such a bird could exist near Wanasura Village. But Sancaka's friends quickly tried to convince him that it was true.

Then suddenly, Sancaka spoke about a dream that had just formed in his heart.

"Father," he said, "today I saw a Dharma hero save me."

He looked up with bright eyes.

"I want to become like them."
