Chapter 71 - Naruto: The God — Chapter 71: A Reward That Would Sting Kakuzu’s Hearts!

Since Mitokado Tsuki had already called out his name in front of several Anbu, there was no point in Qianyu hiding his identity any longer.

Even if this was a breach of protocol, she was the one who'd violated it by exposing him to non-Anbu personnel!

"My lineage traces directly to the Hokage. I am a student of the Sannin. I call the heads of the Senju and Uchiha clans 'brother.' Lord White Fang sees me as family."

Qianyu's gaze swept over the Anbu, his voice icy.

Whoosh.

The list of names and titles Qianyu had just dropped was far too weighty. The Anbu operatives paled in unison, freezing in place, not daring to take another step.

"Don't listen to him! He's just bluffing, hiding behind others' prestige!" The Anbu hesitated. Mitokado Tsuki stamped her foot in frustration. "Besides, which of those people can even compare to my father?"

"Heh." A cold laugh escaped Qianyu. "The Hokage personally promoted me to Jonin the moment I passed my Chunin exams. The Anbu created a new squad specifically for me."

"So, use your brains. Who's the one you really can't afford to offend?"

Qianyu said no more.

Under his chilling stare, the Anbu silently retreated several steps. No amount of threats or promises from Mitokado Tsuki could make them re-engage.

Mitokado Homura's position was high, but it was largely ceremonial. The names Qianyu had dropped? Those were people with real power and influence in Konoha. The choice was obvious.

"You… you…!" Mitokado Tsuki pointed a trembling finger at the Anbu, rage choking her words.

She'd never imagined the commoner brat she once looked down on would now stand nearly on equal footing with her. That he'd dare to humiliate her in front of so many. And that she could do nothing about it!

That feeling of humiliation—a complete powerlessness—was something Mitokado Tsuki had never experienced in her life. She wanted nothing more than to rush forward and bite Qianyu to death!

"You three! Go help him with the treatment!" Mitokado Tsuki gritted her teeth, turning to point at a few of her subordinates.

Backing down now was impossible. If she lost face in front of her own people, how could she command any respect later?

"Yes, ma'am!"

The subordinates acknowledged, not thinking much of it, and began walking toward Qianyu.

We're all Konoha comrades. And we have the backing of the Mitokado family. You can have the main credit; we won't fight you for it. Just letting us sip some soup from the sidelines should be fine, right?

Holding that thought, one woman had already reached Qianyu's side. As she began to crouch, she felt a sudden, damp warmth on her chest.

Then, an indescribable, searing pain erupted, stealing her breath. The people beside her screamed.

"Ahhh! He's killing someone!"

The woman looked down. A blade of paper, appearing from nowhere, had pierced through her chest, missing her heart by a mere inch.

Her eyes rolled back. She collapsed on the spot.

"How dare you! You attacked a fellow villager! This is treason!" Mitokado Tsuki's eyes bulged with fury, her voice rising to a shrill pitch that bordered on operatic. She whirled toward the motionless Anbu. "What are you waiting for? Seize him immediately for the Hokage's judgment!"

Facing this "conviction," Qianyu continued treating the two patients calmly.

"We are outside the village borders. These individuals approached me without permission. For all I know, they could be spies from another village, attempting to harm our Jinchuriki."

"As Anbu, I have the authority to act first and report later."

Ever since being ambushed by Danzō, Qianyu had fully embraced this playbook. Making baseless accusations? Who doesn't know how to do that?

At this game, you lot are mere amateurs. Watch and learn.

Mitokado Tsuki was on the verge of insanity. She wanted to step forward and argue. "You're lying! They came with me! You're clearly just—!"

Whoosh!

Qianyu's head snapped up. His eyes held a killing intent so sharp it was tangible. Mitokado Tsuki's words died in her throat.

"You make a fair point," Qianyu said, licking the corner of his lips. "Why don't you… take a few more steps forward?"

"That look in his eyes… He really wants to kill me?!"

"I… I can't be bothered reasoning with someone like you. You're not worth it! I'll report this to the Hokage! Just you wait!"

She wasn't afraid. She simply felt her noble person was far too valuable to risk against a commoner like Qianyu. It wasn't worth it.

"Heh." Qianyu scoffed dismissively, then turned his gaze to the terrified minions nearby. "Take her and get out of my sight. Now."

Qianyu had held back. If these people had competent medics, the woman would be fine. If their medical skills were lacking and she died… well, she had it coming.

The group scrambled as if pardoned, hastily lifting the unconscious woman and putting a hundred meters between themselves and Qianyu in a panicked sprint.

With the nuisance dealt with, Qianyu lowered his gaze, focusing entirely on treating Minato and Kushina.

Both possessed immense vitality. One was simply exhausted to the point of collapse. The other, while suffering a fatal wound, wouldn't be hard to stabilize.

If that Mitokado woman hadn't interfered, he'd have finished long ago.

After all, by the system's standards, stabilizing monsters like Minato and Kushina counted as a successful treatment.

[Ding! Treatment successful. Congratulations, host, on obtaining [Sealing Technique: Adamantine Sealing Chains]—suitable for a Senju baby's physique!]

Not long after, Qianyu received the prompt for successfully treating Kushina.

"Huh, not Uzumaki bloodline? That's not going to earn you a five-star review, System."

Qianyu withdrew his hand from Kushina's chest and opened the skill description.

[[Adamantine Sealing Chains]: Use vast chakra to form chains. Can be used for offense or to create powerful seals. A formidable technique strong enough to rival Tailed Beast power!]

"Mm. Actually, not bad at all."

A faint smile touched Qianyu's lips. Next time he encountered a Tailed Beast or Jinchuriki, he'd have a counter. He could give them a little… binding play!

Of course, only the aesthetically pleasing ones deserved such treatment.

Setting the thought aside, Qianyu continued treating Minato, his anticipation growing.

It might be a bit unscrupulous, but Senior Minato was injured worse than Kushina. The reward should be… hehehe. Sorry, Senior Minato.

[Ding! Treatment successful. Congratulations, host, on obtaining [Wind Release: Rasengan Shuriken]!]

"Holy shit! Senior, you're the best!"

When the prompt for successfully treating Minato flashed, Qianyu couldn't help but curse in excitement.

This was an S-rank ninjutsu, the Wind Release: Rasengan Shuriken! The strongest known Wind Release technique, one that took the knucklehead prince two and a half years of grueling training to master!

And he… through his own relentless effort, had also obtained this signature move.

"Senior Minato, you're truly a good man. I knew you wouldn't let your junior's efforts go to waste!"

Looking at Minato lying on the ground, Qianyu almost felt the urge to lean over and plant a kiss… on Kushina.

"Damn it, I must be influenced by the Senju and Uchiha bloodlines!" Qianyu cursed inwardly.

The Wind Release: Rasengan Shuriken transformed wind-natured chakra into microscopic needles that attacked every one of the body's 130 trillion cells. Its destructive power was terrifying!

Back then, the knucklehead prince had used an incomplete version and instantly destroyed two of Kakuzu's hearts with one strike. What Qianyu had obtained now was the completed version.

While he didn't have Sage Mode, his chakra control was exceptional. Using it would, at worst, wreck an arm. Not a big deal—he could heal himself. Might even test if self-treatment earned rewards.

Old man Kakuzu, you'd better not cross my path. If you do… you're in for a world of hurt, Qianyu thought, thoroughly pleased.

Today's rewards were far too generous. Either one could serve as a new trump card for him.

Without exaggeration, acquiring these two skills boosted his combat power by at least thirty percent. And now he had a means to counter Jinchuriki!

Just as Qianyu was grinning from ear to ear, Hiruzen Sarutobi, clad in combat gear, finally arrived with a squad of Anbu, fashionably late.

Qianyu stood up, shooting a suspicious glance at Hiruzen.

Did the old man have this place under surveillance? Wait until the trouble was over before making his grand entrance? How else could his timing be so perfect?

"Uncle Hiruzen!"

Mitokado Tsuki, who had been waiting miserably, finally found her pillar of support. She rushed to Hiruzen's side, her voice choking up.

"Qianyu just openly tried to kill one of my people! Everyone here can testify! If my subordinate hadn't dodged in time, she would have…!"

However, before Mitokado Tsuki could finish her tearful performance—

Hiruzen raised a hand, cutting her off with a frown. "This is not the place for this. We will discuss everything back at the village."
