Chapter 12 - An Uninvited Pink Visitor

After quite some time, the van finally came to a stop.

The doors were pulled open. Two fully armed men in black stood outside and said in cold voices, "Ladies, we've arrived."

Vill-V hopped down from the van with a light bounce and surveyed her surroundings.

Nothing particularly remarkable.

A watchtower.

Several mounted machine guns.

Soldiers standing in formation.

Fighter jets roaring overhead.

Mm. A perfectly ordinary military camp.

A mature, intellectual-looking woman in a white lab coat stepped forward, holding a report in her hand.

"Hello, Miss Vill-V. We will now conduct a review. Please come this way."

Vill-V nodded as if she were an honored guest invited for tea.

"Oh? A review, you say. And you are?"

"My apologies. My name is Blanca. As for anything further, it is classified. Only after you pass the review will we be able to disclose more."

"Very well. I'm quite curious what this so-called review entails. Will there be surprises?"

Clang.

A heavy iron door shut and locked behind her.

Vill-V sat on a cold steel bench.

Opposite her were five stern-faced officers, along with Blanca.

"Name," a white-gloved officer demanded while flipping through her file.

"Vill-V."

"Is that your real name?"

"Of course."

"Age."

"Sixteen."

"Is that your true age?"

Vill-V spread her hands casually.

"If you don't believe what I say, then don't ask. It saves time."

The officer was about to assume the role of the harsh interrogator when Blanca smiled instead.

"I heard that at sixteen, Miss Vill-V completed advanced mechanical dynamics and became a doctoral student at Harvard Academy?"

Vill-V crossed her legs and nodded proudly.

"Advanced mechanical dynamics is as easy as drinking water to me. Took only a few days."

Blanca continued, "Then may I ask, do you have any representative works?"

"Don't you already know? Becoming a doctoral student at Harvard Academy—that is my work."

One of the officers could not hold back.

"Impersonating a doctoral student and infiltrating Harvard Academy? A scam can be called a work?"

Blanca, however, held a very different view.

She nodded in agreement.

"Indeed. To impersonate a doctoral student at Harvard Academy and remain for an entire semester under the renowned Dr. Tesla without arousing suspicion—just as you said, ordinary people cannot accomplish that. Not even most high-IQ criminals. Your existence exceeds that definition."

Vill-V smiled and picked up the thread.

"If you'd like more examples, there's also yesterday's Dusk Street Magician incident. I'm sure you've obtained the materials. That was also an excellent work of mine—highly praised by the citizens of Dusk Street~"

She finished with an adorable smile, humming with pride.

"Of course, I've already withdrawn the money. If you want to find it, feel free to try. Asking me for it? Impossible."

The officers were furious.

Yet their discipline kept them silent.

Never had they encountered such an arrogant fraudster—daring to boast inside a military interrogation room as if the law were a decoration.

"You are correct. That 'work' was impressive. However, are you aware that those crimes, combined with your unauthorized use of corporate accounts to post obscene images, are sufficient to sentence you to life imprisonment and permanent deprivation of rights?"

"What? Posting lewd images isn't allowed either?!"

Vill-V looked utterly shameless.

"Fine, then I'll go to prison. You've already caught me. What else can I do? A bet's a bet—I accept the loss."

"Hmph. Take her away—" the central officer ordered coldly, glancing at Blanca.

Blanca gave a subtle nod.

A hood was placed over Vill-V's head.

She was pushed into a dark room and instructed to change into prison clothing.

The kind without undergarments.

Vill-V grumbled.

Reality was far too realistic.

In the game, she had at least been imprisoned in her splendid stage costume.

Without undergarments, her chest felt uncomfortably unsupported, swaying and rubbing against the coarse fabric. Sweat collected beneath.

"Not humane at all. At least provide proper undergarments. Do they think everyone here is a burly man? Women are delicate creatures, you know."

"If I designed a little black room, I'd fill it with comfortable outfits and various little props."

And so, Vill-V was confined to that dark room for nine full days.

Life itself was not particularly difficult.

The only real problem was that the camp's food was hard to swallow.

Until one day, after eating a bowl of porridge, her head grew dizzy.

She collapsed to the floor.

Moments later, a group rushed in, lifted her onto a stretcher, and transported her onto a cargo plane.

Vill-V sensed that she had lost consciousness—and yet had not.

She drifted in a peculiar haze.

"Some sort of sedative," Conductor analyzed calmly within the sea of consciousness. "No need to worry. They likely have no intention of doing anything... entertaining."

Another mature, elegant voice emerged.

"A sweet yet faintly rancid scent. A mixture of a subspecies anesthetic and Broan flower extract. Strong paralytic and hallucinogenic effects on both heart and brain. Sample already collected. I recommend cautious absorption this time."

That voice belonged to [Occultist].

She possessed profound knowledge of pharmacology, the human body, psychology, astronomy, and mysticism.

She rarely appeared.

Whenever she did, she left the other personas with headaches—experimenting on her own body with drugs or performing terrifying rituals.

This time was no exception.

Before Occultist could act further, the personas reflexively switched back to Conductor.

"Is this to conceal the upcoming destination? Only Occultist can navigate globally by bodily sensation alone with closed eyes. But this time, let's refrain. Maintain silence until the anesthetic wears off."

It was clear the others had been thoroughly frightened by her past behavior.

Even the steady Conductor hesitated to release her.

Her danger level ranked just below the [Pure Evil] persona.

Thus, they switched back to the primary persona to rest.

The primary persona did not resist.

Rather than expend energy pretending to sleep, she simply drifted into genuine slumber.

Through the dim haze of light came a soft whisper.

A breath brushed her cheek with a tingling warmth.

"Cute little Sleeping Beauty~ Can you see me? Wake up~"

A pair of fair hands waved gently before her eyes.

Sensing her lashes tremble, Vill-V slowly opened her eyes.

"Your sleeping face is quite lovely... but if you don't get up, you'll miss lunch~"

Vill-V turned toward the overly familiar voice.

Pink hair brushed across her nose.

Before her were crescent-shaped eyes and an enthusiastic smile.

"Hi~ First time meeting in person. How are you feeling?"
