Chapter 199 - 433

Chapter 433. The Crushed Yukinoshita Sisters and the Aggressive Priscilla

Two weeks after the world merger.

During these two weeks, Hikigaya Hachiman, who had originally aspired to be a lazy stay-at-home husband, had been busy to the point of exhaustion.

This wasn't because he had a change of heart, but because he felt a sense of responsibility. The stakes were high; if the two worlds were not properly linked and communicated, any conflict could result in the deaths of thousands or even tens of thousands. To avoid such a consequence, as the only "expert on both worlds," he had no choice but to step up.

After two full weeks, only now could he finally rest.

Of course, the handover between the two worlds certainly wouldn't be completed so quickly, but the general direction had been settled and many things were just beginning. At this stage, he could basically withdraw himself.

The side effect of being busy with work was that after returning to Earth, he had no free time. Even with Otto and Rem there helping him, he had no leisure to enjoy any romantic atmosphere with the two of them.

Naturally, he hadn't gone to see Yukinoshita either.

By the time Hachiman was free, the news that he had been persuaded by Anastasia to reconsider who he would marry had already reached Yukinoshita's ears through the mouths of Priscilla and Ram.

For Yukinoshita, this process was not pleasant at all—both Ram and Priscilla had mocked her viciously. Unfortunately, she was crushed in every aspect by these two "victorious villains," leading to consecutive defeats and immense humiliation.

On the other hand, Crusch, who was equally busy, took some time to go and comfort her after learning of the situation.

The upright Crusch acted purely out of kindness, but Yukinoshita nearly bit her teeth off in frustration... having another love rival come to comfort her in her defeat only meant that, in Crusch's eyes, Yukinoshita posed no threat as a rival at all.

Otherwise, Crusch would never have been that kind.

While a despondent Yukinoshita stayed home reading various books to "improve herself," Emilia also paid her a visit.

During their conversation, Yukinoshita's initial indignation gradually transformed into an indescribable fear... she felt shocked and found it hard to breathe, actually starting to lose confidence in herself.

Although she had long known that none of these rivals were ordinary, it was only after actual contact that she realized she might have underestimated them. It goes without saying that

Crusch and the others crushed her in terms of martial power, authority, and status, but Yukinoshita had thought she at least possessed superior wisdom. Facts proved that her so-called wisdom wasn't even a match for Ram or Priscilla, let alone compared to Crusch and Anastasia, who could handle national affairs.

And Emilia, the most innocent and simple among the rivals, whose intellect seemed most "average," dealt Yukinoshita the fatal blow with her open-mindedness and magnanimity.

After talking with Emilia, Yukinoshita was left completely bewildered... her petty thoughts of wanting to retaliate against Ram and Priscilla for the shame they brought her seemed too shameful to even mention compared to Emilia.

It wasn't that she shouldn't retaliate, but... it was hard to explain specifically. In short, Emilia's character made Yukinoshita feel ashamed beyond words; compared to Emilia, she felt like a tiny firefly trying to outshine the moon.

Following this, Yukinoshita Haruno, who had indirectly sensed her younger sister's string of defeats, maintained her smiling facade. On one hand, she used her connection to her "brother-in-law" to act with borrowed authority, successfully gaining a position in the world merger project. On the other hand, relying on this foundation, she also obtained the qualification to meet several candidates. While pretending to be serious about work, she was quietly observing her sister's rivals and making calculations.

—Then, she was naturally "exploded" and crushed by Anastasia.

Both were cunning merchants, but Yukinoshita Haruno relied on her parents' support and only operated at a prefecture level; meanwhile, Anastasia started from zero, relying on her own striving to build a merchant group that covered two countries.

Haruno's schemes were not bad, but facing a stronger peer who crushed her in every dimension, she was useless. She was caught immediately, like a mouse meeting a cat.

What Anastasia knew, Haruno might not. What Haruno knew, Anastasia knew better. Even Haruno's only advantage—the business models of modern Earth—was learned by Anastasia within a few short days.

Forget standing up for her sister; after being seen through, she could barely save herself... If not for the sake of her own "Prime Minister," Anastasia would usually just kill an infiltrating spy like her.

Thus, both Yukinoshita sisters suffered a crushing defeat and shared the embarrassment.

When the busy Hachiman heard about these situations, he truly didn't know what to say... he couldn't praise Crusch and Emilia, nor should he criticize the overly manipulative Haruno, lest it bring more insult to Yukino.

He could only condemn Priscilla and Ram for looking for trouble.

Ram just nodded: "Yes, yes, right, right," not wanting to go against her brother-in-law.

Anyway, she had already had her fun and had no need to provoke Yukinoshita further.

Once Hachiman finished talking, she put her hands on her hips and asked: "When are you and Rem holding the wedding?"

The situation reversed instantly. Cold sweat rolled down Hachiman's forehead. In the end, it was the gentle Rem who pulled her sister back and stopped her from pressing further.

And then there was Priscilla.

Al, who had returned to Japan, had taken leave and was currently back in his old town. Schult had also been fired because Priscilla was displeased with his actions in the IF lines.

Now, in the Priscilla mansion, there was only her and a group of hired maids.

Hachiman, possessing the four Authorities of Lust, Greed, Gluttony, and Vainglory, tried to talk sense into her to no avail. He eventually made a move on the nonchalant Priscilla and easily subdued her without causing any injury.

...The result was Priscilla lying on the ground, scoffing as she felt Hachiman's hands kneading her chest. Her fiery red dress had been pulled down, and since she usually wore nothing underneath, she was suddenly stark naked and everything was exposed.

Seeing the full, soft body of this arrogant woman and even kneading it with his hands, Hachiman's face turned ashen. This was the effect of Priscilla's "Great Luck"—she was perfectly willing to be seen naked by him and found his reaction very entertaining, wanting to see how he would cope.

What could Hachiman do?

Naturally, he got up quickly, without taking another look, and left the Priscilla mansion directly. He then reflected on how he had never thought of developing an Authority that could suppress "Great Luck."

"...Priscilla!"

His lament was both tooth-gritting and helpless. He was destined to never be able to stand up for Yukino; he was being played like a fiddle by that arrogant woman. Whenever he went over, Priscilla would just strip naked and use her Great Luck to send him to bed...

What else could he do? He could only stop going to find this "free-offering" arrogant woman!
