Alesia's POV.
"Eliza, please…" I reached out and grabbed her hand before she could step away, holding it tightly. My fingers were trembling, embarrassingly so, but I tightened them anyway. "No one's going to know. I just need a phone. One call." I said, trying to plead with her.
She didn't even smile like she used to.
And that alone made fear crawl up my spine, made me wonder if she's any different from the rest.
"Miss," she said quietly, staring down at our joined hands like she was warning me with her silence first. "We are talking about the Don. Jericho. Your mate."
That word again.
Mate.
"If you so much as dream of another man, he would know. Not to talk of you actually calling another man because you missed him?" She paused.
"Sir is just as ruthless as he looks, don't be deceived because he's being gentle with you, my lady".
