Chapter 39 - Chapter 39: In-Depth Study

The night in West City wasn't quiet, especially not for the daughter of Capsule Corporation.

Neon lights outside painted the technological metropolis in cyberpunk hues, and streaks from hovering cars traced ghostly reflections across the glass skyscrapers.

But Bulma had no interest in admiring her own city's view.

She sat on her bedroom's circular bed, big enough to fit five people.

Her fingers clutched the collar of her silk robe tightly, toes curled nervously, leaving awkward arcs in the shag carpet.

The sound of water in the bathroom stopped.

Each droplet hitting the tiles echoed like a hammer on her chest.

Bulma felt her mind overloading. This was more taxing than calculating formulas for a anti-gravity engine.

If it were the old little bald guy with the nose she used to tease, she might have joked her way through it.

But now…

The bathroom door slid open, and a cloud of steaming white mist poured out.

Krillin emerged wearing only a towel around his waist.

His body, reshaped by the Saitama Template, was a sculpture in motion. Every muscle seemed carved by Michelangelo, not the kind built in a gym with protein shakes, but sleek, explosive, predator-like lines.

Water droplets slid down his broad chest, tracing the grooves of his abs before vanishing at the edge of the towel.

Bulma swallowed instinctively, her throat dry.

"What? Not enough to look at?"

Krillin wiped his head dry and walked to the bed.

He carried the clean scent of shower gel, along with the undeniable, primal masculinity that lingered no matter what.

"Who… who's looking?"

Bulma turned her head, cheeks blazing like ripe peaches.

"I'm just… considering new materials for battle suits!"

"Oh? Is that so?"

Krillin tossed the towel aside and knelt on the edge of the bed with one knee.

The mattress sank slightly under his weight, and Bulma felt a mountain pressing down on her.

"Perfect timing. I have a research project on human limits and endurance. Doctor Bulma, care to participate personally?"

His voice was low, slightly husky with a teasing edge.

He reached out, not to touch immediately, but to anchor himself beside her, surrounding her with his shadow.

Bulma felt enveloped.

Before her was his solid chest, beside her the steady beat of his heart.

Her proud intellect crashed completely, leaving only her biological instincts screaming or cheering.

"You… you rogue…"

Her voice was soft as water, no trace of her usual sharpness.

"Just won the championship and already acting this arrogant…"

"Championship?"

Krillin chuckled lightly, twirling a strand of her blue hair around his finger near her ear.

"That trophy was for show. I told you, the real prize is right here."

His fingers slid down, brushing her flushed cheek, tracing the curve of her neck, finally pausing at the delicate tie of her robe.

Bulma shivered as if electrified.

She lifted her head, her large blue eyes misted with both shyness and a daring resolve.

"Krillin…"

"Hm?"

"Will… will you treat me well forever?"

It was a cliché question, but in this moment, it was the softest wall of defense in the heart of this genius girl.

Krillin didn't answer immediately.

He lowered his gaze, locking eyes with Bulma.

His expression was no longer the usual playful teasing; it was serious, commanding, and utterly protective.

"Listen carefully, Bulma."

His palm pressed against her back, feeling her shivering skin through the silk.

"In this world, and even in this universe, no one is stronger than me."

"As long as I'm standing, no one will ever cause you the slightest harm."

"Whether it's aliens trying to destroy Earth or gods of destruction trying to touch you, they'd have to go over my dead body first."

These words worked better than any sweet nothing.

Bulma felt her heart being struck, the sense of safety filling her entire body.

"You idiot…"

She sniffled, wrapping her arms around Krillin's neck.

"I don't want you dead… You have to stay alive, keep doing chores for me, be my bodyguard, and…"

"And what?"

Krillin leaned in closer.

"And… love me."

The last words vanished between their lips.

Krillin no longer restrained himself.

He kissed her with a passion that wasn't about claiming territory on the battlefield but about merging her into his very being.

Bulma's robe slipped quietly.

The lights seemed unnecessary in that instant.

Krillin snapped his fingers, the pressure from his energy hitting the switch precisely.

The room fell into darkness, save for a few streaks of neon light sneaking through the curtains.

Charm Check… Both affinity MAX

Passive Skill "Muscle Control" activated in Gentle Mode

S-rank Talent "Beast Instinct" analyzing target's reactions

Krillin cursed the system silently and muted the notifications.

Now, he didn't need the system he only needed instinct.

To West City, it was an ordinary night.

To Bulma, it was the longest, wildest, and sweetest night of her life.

She felt like a small boat tossed in the waves Krillin stirred.

The brilliant scientist in the lab was gone, replaced by a woman lost in love and desire.

From shy resistance to active participation, to final surrender and tears.

Krillin's stamina was almost unnatural.

The Saitama Template brought not just combat power, but endless energy.

He was a tireless machine, sending Bulma to ecstasy again and again.

"No… I can't… Krillin… are you a monster…"

"This is just the beginning. Who said we were testing battle suit data? There's more to record."

"Ugh… I'm sorry… I'll never… mmm!"

It wasn't until dawn in the east that the "celebration" finally ended.

The room was thick with lingering intimacy.

Ripped robes, pillows, and stray sheets lay scattered on the floor.

Bulma curled against Krillin like a lazy kitten, covered in red marks.

She had no strength to move a finger, eyelids heavy as lead.

Krillin leaned against the headboard, one arm around her smooth shoulder, the other playing with her hair.

Despite the night's exertion, he was radiant, feeling his energy flow even better than before.

Krillin glanced at the panel, satisfied, and shut it down.

The person in his arms stirred, letting out a soft whimper.

Bulma forced her eyes open, her voice hoarse: "Water…"

Krillin immediately fetched the warm water he had prepared at the bedside, carefully feeding it to her.

After a few sips, she felt alive again.

Looking up at Krillin, recalling the night's madness, her cheeks flushed again.

"Are you a beast…"

She whispered, nestling into his chest.

"My waist… it feels broken."

"You just need more training," Krillin said with a mischievous smile, pinching her face.

"From now on, a hundred push-ups every morning with me?"

"Go die!" Bulma bit his chest in retaliation, leaving two neat rows of teeth marks.

After a quiet moment, Bulma spoke softly:

"Krillin…"

"Hm?"

"When we eat with my parents… you said after collecting the Dragon Balls we'd get married… is that true? Or did you just say it casually?"

Even after everything, she couldn't help but feel uncertain.

This man was so dazzling that any woman could be drawn to him with a snap of his fingers.

Krillin's smile faded, resting his chin on her head, tightening his arm slightly.

"Of course it's true."

His voice reverberated through his chest into her ear, grounding her.

"I may joke sometimes, but never about matters like this. When we return from our travels, I'll formally propose to Doctor Brief. Then…"

He paused, a flicker of hope in his eyes.

"We'll have the grandest wedding ever.

We'll invite Master Roshi, Goku, Tenshinhan, and your parents. I want the world to know that the daughter of Capsule Corporation is my wife."

Bulma lifted her head, eyes sparkling.

"Even Oolong and Puar they must come too."

"Of course."

"And lots and lots of strawberry cakes."

"Consider it done."

"From now on, I'll manage the household finances."

"All yours. Still want money? Forget it, I don't care about it I just care about the meals."

"You promised this!"

Bulma laughed through her tears, leaning in to press a quick kiss to Krillin's lips.

"Sealed. No backing out."

"Never backing out."

Morning light streamed through the curtains, gilding this moment in gold.
