I had been traveling for many days, seeking out those who would disrupt the peace. I had brought many warmongers to justice, and the world was safer because of it.
But as I walked through a small village, I sensed a darkness. It was a feeling I had not felt in a long time, and it made my heart grow cold.
I followed the feeling to a large stone building on the outskirts of the village. It was an old temple, one that had been abandoned for many years.
I approached the temple, my senses on high alert. And then, I saw him. A man with long, flowing hair and eyes that burned with an inner fire.
Who are you? I asked him.
He smiled, and I saw a glimmer of recognition in his eyes. You are the God of Death, he said. I have been waiting for you.
Waiting for me? I asked. Why?
The man laughed. Because you are the only one who can stop me, he said. And I have come to destroy the peace that you have brought to the world.
