Chapter 41
Mirror Dimension
The battle between Yang Jian and Hulk had already surpassed the limits of physical laws.
Yang Jian threw a punch—Hulk shot backward like a cannonball, crashing through seven floating skyscrapers.
But the next second, green light exploded from the ruins. Hulk's body swelled another size larger; green energy patterns surfaced on his muscles.
Heat vision sliced Hulk in half at the waist—but the severed body was forcibly stitched back together by green energy threads.
The re-risen Hulk now had bone spikes growing from his spine. His roar shattered every remaining pane of glass in the floating buildings.
Yang Jian teleported to Hulk's chest. His right hand pierced straight through the chest cavity and crushed the beating heart.
"Is it over?" Iron Man's armor leaked coolant fluid.
Hulk's corpse collapsed with a thunderous crash.
But it wasn't over.
The ground suddenly turned into a green vortex and swallowed the body whole.
"What's happening? Where's Hulk?" Captain America asked worriedly.
Suddenly the entire Mirror Dimension began to twist. A hellish gate covered in unknown script materialized in the void.
With a creak, massive green hands reached out from the crack and slowly pried the doors open.
The Hulk who emerged had completely transformed.
Height exceeding ten meters. Long hair writhing like living tendrils. Skin now semi-transparent jade-green, with galaxy-like energy flowing inside his body. Every step cracked the Mirror Dimension itself.
"Hulk… is eternal!"
His voice overlapped with millions of echoes.
Bang!
A simple straight punch—but it pulverized the foundation of the entire Mirror Dimension.
The Avengers were blown away like leaves. Cracks appeared on Thor's Mjölnir.
Yang Jian hovered at the center of the storm, cape snapping wildly: "As expected—you sacrificed yourself to the Gamma Dimension."
But this alone wasn't enough. His power wanted to grow.
"Hulk… is god!"
The voice was no longer a single roar—it was countless overlapping echoes, as if the rage of an entire dimension spoke through him.
When Hulk charged again, Yang Jian's fists ignited with magically enhanced flames.
A simple straight punch.
BOOM!!!
The Mirror Dimension ground shattered instantly. Ring-shaped shockwaves spread outward. All floating city ruins turned to dust in an instant.
Even Captain America and Black Widow—shielded behind Thor's lightning barrier—were hurled hundreds of meters by the aftershock. Iron Man's suit alarms screamed: "Sir! Impact force exceeding 100 million tons of TNT equivalent!"
Hulk's destroyed body reassembled once more.
He charged again with terrifying momentum.
"Come on!"
Yang Jian didn't dodge—he met the charge with his own punch!
Dong!!!
The instant their fists collided, blinding white light erupted.
A rift tore across the sky of the Mirror Dimension!
Hulk's arm shattered in the clash—but the next second, green energy surged from the void and instantly rebuilt his body.
The reformed arm glowed green; his power had surged again!
"Immortal, huh? That's exactly what I'm here to crush!"
His figure vanished from the spot.
First second
Yang Jian appeared in front of Hulk and smashed a right hook into his jaw.
Hulk's head exploded—but green light immediately reformed it.
Second second
A barrage of heavy punches slammed into Hulk's chest, each one carrying the searing heat of Eternal Flame and magical expulsion.
Cracks began to appear on Hulk's jade skin.
Third second
Yang Jian clasped both hands together and delivered a hammer blow, driving Hulk deep into the "ground" of the Mirror Dimension.
The entire floor of the space began to churn.
Fourth second
Hulk burst up from below, arms clenched. A bizarre green energy beam roared toward Yang Jian.
Yang Jian didn't evade—heat vision met it head-on!
Fifth second
At the point of collision, a miniature black hole formed, beginning to devour everything around it.
Yang Jian suddenly withdrew his power, allowing the black hole to pull both him and Hulk inside.
In the dimensional rift, he seized Hulk's core. All his energy erupted at full force.
"Get back to your dimension!"
A massive golden beam pierced through Hulk's body, blasting the energy inside him back into that hell gate.
What Yang Jian saw through the gate—countless greedy green eyes.
Final strike: Yang Jian's hand blade stabbed into Hulk's forehead and forcibly ripped out a pulsing green nebula.
That was the core of the dimensional channel.
As the nebula was incinerated by Eternal Flame, Hulk's body began to shrink.
Banner's form gradually emerged and fell from the sky.
"Catch him." Yang Jian tossed Banner to Cap.
He had defeated Hulk with absolute power first. With dimensional energy, if this continued, Hulk would eventually strengthen to his level—or even beyond.
The Mirror Dimension dissolved. Everyone returned to the devastated New York.
Banner lay unconscious on the ground, body restored to normal.
But everyone saw it.
A faint green crack had appeared on his forehead, slowly leaking light.
Above the Ruins of Manhattan
The Avengers still stood in stunned silence after the apocalyptic battle.
Iron Man's armor was heavily damaged. Cracks ran through Thor's Mjölnir.
Captain America's shield edge was slightly deformed—and all of it was merely collateral from the shockwaves.
"So."
Tony flipped up his faceplate, expression grave as he looked at Yang Jian: "What exactly was that green energy on Banner?"
Everyone had just witnessed it.
"Residual energy from the Gamma Hell," he said calmly.
"Or, to put it another way—pollution from beneath all things."
"Beneath all things?" Black Widow caught the unfamiliar phrase sharply.
"A dimension composed purely of gamma energy. Hulk accidentally opened a channel during extreme rage." Yang Jian's gaze swept over the group.
"That place is the source of wrath."
Iron Man looked around at the shattered streets and raised a hand: "This isn't the place to talk. Let's go to Avengers Tower."
Yang Jian nodded. His bio-field instantly expanded, enveloping everyone.
The next second—they appeared in the top-floor conference room of Avengers Tower.
Thor casually laid the unconscious Banner on a sofa. The green crack on Banner's forehead still flickered faintly.
Tony poured himself a drink and downed it in one go, then stared at Yang Jian: "OK, now let's talk about you. Who are you? Why have I never seen you before? Your powers look like comic-book Superman—but Superman doesn't use magic."
Yang Jian leaned against the conference table, smiling faintly: "A visitor from another universe, here on vacation."
"Vacation?" Captain America frowned.
"And you just happened to run into a Hulk rampage the moment you arrived?"
"Bad luck." Yang Jian shrugged. "But it was pretty exciting."
Thor laughed heartily: "Ha! I like this guy!"
Captain America suddenly remembered something: "Wait—you mentioned Hydra earlier. Weren't they already wiped out?"
The conference room instantly fell silent.
Yang Jian's gaze swept across every face before he slowly spoke: "Hydra was never truly eradicated. They just hid deeper."
He paused. "And right now, at least two-thirds of S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel are Hydra agents."
"What?!"
Black Widow shot to her feet, face changing dramatically.
Tony's wine glass froze mid-air; shock flashed in his eyes.
"That's impossible." Captain America's voice was low.
"We vetted everyone."
"Including your director?" Yang Jian cut in.
"Nick Fury's most trusted aide, your system administrators, and even…"
His gaze carried deep meaning as it swept over a certain corner: "…some of the Avengers' closest allies?"
The conference room fell deathly quiet.
Black Widow recovered first. She looked toward Banner on the sofa.
The green crack on his forehead was deeply unsettling: "What about Banner? That Gamma Hell influence."
Yang Jian walked to Banner's side. His hands rapidly formed seals. A golden expulsion spell shot into Banner's brow.
The crack began healing at visible speed. Banner's pained expression gradually calmed.
"Hulk's power originally came from gamma energy—but this time was different." Yang Jian withdrew his hand.
"He opened a channel to beneath all things. He gained near-infinite energy replenishment and amplification. The price was his mind being completely corrupted, turning him into a pure avatar of destruction."
Everyone recalled the terrifying figure from the Mirror Dimension.
A fist that could shatter space. An unkillable body. And the countless watchful green eyes behind that hell gate.
Thor gripped Mjölnir tightly, voice low: "If it weren't for you, we wouldn't have stopped him."
"Now the question is."
Iron Man pulled up a holographic projection showing the data from when the Gamma Hell gate opened.
"Will that dimension open again? Will Banner turn into that again?"
Yang Jian looked out the window. His super vision pierced through the clouds, staring directly at the invisible dimensional barrier: "The channel has already been sealed."
