Chapter 47
Yang Jian led them out of Hoover Dam.
Smoke still hung thick over the ruins of Hoover Dam. Human armed forces had already completely surrounded the entire area.
Tank barrels and helicopter-mounted machine guns were all locked onto Yang Jian and the Autobots.
"Open fire!" the commander ordered.
Rat-tat-tat-tat!
Bullets poured down like rain, cannon fire roared, and explosive flames instantly swallowed their figures.
Optimus Prime immediately raised his arms: "Autobots, defensive formation!"
But before he could finish, Yang Jian had already lifted his hand.
Buzz!
An invisible force field expanded. Every bullet, shell, and missile froze in mid-air—as if time itself had stopped.
The soldiers stared wide-eyed, unable to believe the scene that defied the laws of physics.
Yang Jian gave a light snap of his fingers.
Shhh!
All the bullets reversed direction instantly, piercing through every single soldier with surgical precision.
Then, with a sweep of his gaze, the bio-field rippled outward like waves. The remaining soldiers and officers collapsed like harvested wheat—sent to meet their maker ahead of schedule.
The entire battlefield fell deathly silent.
Optimus Prime's optics contracted slightly. He spoke in a grave tone: "Friend… wasn't that a bit extreme?"
Yang Jian glanced sideways at him; his golden pupils showed no ripple: "When someone points a gun at you, mercy isn't what you should be thinking about. It's how to make sure they can never pull the trigger again."
Optimus Prime fell silent.
Yang Jian said nothing more. With a gentle hook of his finger, the AllSpark flew out of Optimus Prime's hand and landed steadily in his palm.
He looked down at the cube that contained the core of Cybertronian civilization, then raised his head and swept his gaze across every Autobot.
"Now you have two choices."
"One: come with me to pick up something, then go to my universe."
"Two: stay here and play an endless game of cat-and-mouse with humans who will never trust you."
The Autobots exchanged glances.
Ironhide couldn't hold back: "Your universe? You're not from Earth?"
"No." Yang Jian said calmly.
"I come from another universe—one without Cybertron, without Autobots, and without Decepticons."
He paused, then smiled: "But it does have far more terrifying things."
Mikaela stood beside him and asked quietly: "Like what?"
"Like void creatures that devour entire planets. Like gods that twist reality and destroy universes." Yang Jian looked at Optimus Prime.
"Compared to those, your Cybertronian war is basically children fighting."
Optimus Prime's optics flickered slightly as he weighed the words. Finally, he turned to his comrades—Jazz, Ironhide, Ratchet, Bumblebee.
"Autobots—vote."
After a brief silence, Bumblebee's radio cut to an uplifting track.
"I Want to Break Free"
Ironhide snorted: "Staying here means getting hunted by humans anyway. Might as well go see something more exciting!"
Ratchet nodded: "The AllSpark is key to reviving Cybertron. If Yang Jian's universe is safer…"
Jazz made an exaggerated gesture: "Cross-universe travel? Way cooler than hiding on Earth!"
Optimus Prime made the final decision and looked at Yang Jian: "We choose to go with you."
Yang Jian smiled: "Wise choice."
He raised a hand. A golden portal far larger than before unfolded in front of them.
The massive golden gate opened in the desolate valley. Yang Jian stepped through first, followed by Optimus Prime and the other Autobots, and finally a very curious Mikaela.
"What are we doing here?" Mikaela stepped over loose gravel, looking around at the barren rock walls.
"This godforsaken place doesn't even have a single blade of grass."
Yang Jian didn't answer. He simply raised a hand and sliced through the void.
Buzz!
A second portal tore open in the rock face. On the other side lay the half-buried wreckage of a Cybertronian spacecraft.
Inside the dim cabin, three pairs of scarlet glowing points suddenly ignited!
"ROAR!"
With earth-shaking roars, three colossal beasts smashed through the cabin doors and charged out.
When the dust settled, everyone saw clearly what they were.
A six-meter-tall mechanical Tyrannosaurus with plasma teeth—Grimlock—his armor covered in ancient battle scars.
A Triceratops with a gleaming ramming horn—Ironhide's counterpart, Slug.
A Pteranodon soaring overhead casting a terrifying shadow—Swoop.
"Mechanical dinosaurs?!" Ratchet's scanners screamed in alarm.
"This is impossible! Cybertron's ancient gladiators should have gone extinct long ago!"
Grimlock's optics locked onto Yang Jian. A threatening growl rumbled from his throat.
Just as he prepared to pounce, Yang Jian raised a hand lightly.
Crack!
The chains binding the three mechanical dinosaurs snapped instantly—but the next moment, an invisible bio-field clamped them rigidly in mid-air.
No matter how they struggled, not even a single finger could move.
"Now." Yang Jian's voice was calm.
"You have two choices."
Dangerous golden light flared in his eyes: "Submit, or be melted into scrap."
The air froze for three seconds.
Suddenly, Grimlock's body began to reconfigure amid the grinding of gears.
He transformed into a giant warrior clad in dinosaur bone armor and knelt on one knee.
"Grimlock… obey the strong!"
Slug and Swoop followed immediately, transforming and kneeling in submission.
Optimus Prime noticed the ancient gladiatorial arena insignias carved into their armor—proof of Cybertron's most barbaric era.
Optimus Prime's optics flickered: "You already knew they were here?"
"This universe holds no secrets from me." Yang Jian withdrew the field. The three mechanical dinosaurs immediately stood respectfully behind him.
"They were once imprisoned by the cosmic hunter Lockdown. Now…"
He patted Grimlock on the shoulder. The mechanical tyrannosaurus obediently shrank back like a tamed pet: "…they are our vanguard."
Mikaela gathered her courage and stepped closer to observe. Grimlock suddenly bared his teeth at her—she nearly fell over in fright.
Yang Jian gave Grimlock a glance. The mechanical rex immediately tucked his neck and retreated half a step.
"Don't be afraid." Yang Jian steadied Mikaela.
"They just need to relearn some manners."
Yang Jian looked up at the sky. He had one more thing to do. He closed his eyes.
In the desolate valley, wind howled, carrying the smell of earth.
Optimus Prime and the Autobots stood beside Yang Jian, waiting quietly for his instructions.
Mikaela curiously leaned closer, watching Yang Jian concentrate with his eyes closed, and couldn't help whispering:
"What is he doing?"
Optimus Prime shook his head slightly; a trace of confusion passed through his optics.
At that moment, deep in Yang Jian's consciousness, an unprecedented attempt was underway.
That was—I reckon!
He remembered the system prompt: this ability required strong self-suggestion. If the first attempt failed, try multiple times.
This was Silver Age Superman's most broken ability. He had never used it since transmigrating—until now.
His consciousness began to suggest to himself. He believed he could do it.
First attempt:
"I know where Lockdown is."
...
Nothing happened.
Second attempt:
"I do know where Lockdown is."
...
Still no response.
Yang Jian didn't get impatient. He took a deep breath and repeated more firmly in his mind:
"I! Just! Know!"
BOOM!
In an instant, a burst of white light exploded in his mind-sea. Countless information fragments flooded in like a torrent.
A pitch-black ship, hidden on some stellar orbit, rendered invisible by optical camouflage.
Lockdown—the infamous bounty hunter—stood inside the cabin. His mechanical fingers caressed a vicious-looking phase-disruption cannon.
Coordinates locked!
Yang Jian's eyes snapped open. A confident smile curved his lips: "Found him."
"Found who?" Mikaela tilted her head, confused.
"Lockdown." Yang Jian said calmly.
"Lockdown?" Optimus Prime's optics contracted sharply.
"The bounty hunter?"
"Exactly." Yang Jian looked up at the sky, his gaze seeming to pierce the clouds straight to the hidden ship.
"He has something in his possession that I'm very interested in."
Mikaela blinked: "Who's Lockdown?"
"A pervert who likes collecting trophies." Ironhide snorted, his cannons already preheated.
"He hunts the strongest and hangs their parts on his wall."
Yang Jian offered no further explanation. He simply raised a hand.
Buzz!
A massive golden portal unfolded in front of them—its other end connecting directly to the interior of Lockdown's ship!
Alarms immediately blared inside the cabin; red warning lights flashed frantically.
Lockdown spun around. His single optic contracted: "What the—?!"
Before he could react, Yang Jian had already stepped through the portal. His bio-field fully deployed—the entire ship's defense systems collapsed instantly!
"Lockdown." Yang Jian's voice was ice-cold.
"Your ship—I'm requisitioning it."
Lockdown's mechanical face twisted for a moment, then he sneered and raised his phase cannon: "Then let's see who becomes the trophy first!"
Bang!
A blinding energy beam shot straight at Yang Jian's face!
