Hello, hello, hello—
To everyone who has read this story up to this point, I want to say: I'm dropping it.
Yes, seriously. It's not because of a lack of support or any rejection or anything like that. The real reason is simple—I don't enjoy writing this story anymore.
To be honest, I had buried my true creative self when I started writing this. Before beginning my main stories, I chose to start with a generic one, using popular genres on this platform, just to gather an audience first.
But I don't enjoy writing this story at all. That's probably why every chapter feels dull and not very interesting.
You might have also noticed something—in the previous chapter, the main character turned back to say something to the merchant. But in the latest chapter, the story suddenly starts from the city. This inconsistency happened because I lost so much interest in this story that I started writing again without even rereading what I had written before.
Another issue is that the story was becoming too generic. I can't keep making these kinds of stories.
From now on, I'll write the kind of stories my creative self truly wants to tell—stories that genuinely carry my soul and effort.
As for the next novel I'll start, I won't reveal much right now. But I can promise it will be a thousand times better than this one, and it will truly reflect me as a writer.
However, it won't be my main story. My main story is much bigger. Before starting that, I want to complete another story of mine—one that isn't generic and is relatively shorter. Since I'm leaving MTW incomplete, I want to at least finish a novel properly first.
I'll share more details about that later.
