Chapter 104 - Chapter 104: Firestorm

Inside the Watchtower, near the top of the space station, there is a separate circular prison area.

This prison is used to hold individuals who are deemed too dangerous to be confined in the Phantom Zone by Superman.

For example, Sinestro, the leader of the Yellow Lantern Corps, had one of his arms broken. Also, Pandora and Dr. Sivana, whom Shazam recently defeated.

Lastly, Lex Luthor, who just released Doomsday on Earth, was then had his base raided by Deathstroke, causing all his crimes to be discovered by the Justice League.

Of course, the reason Lex Luthor is kept here is complicated.

The Justice League needs to assist and cooperate with the government to extract more evidence from Lex Luthor.

After all, some of Luthor's research was not only dangerous but also involved metahuman issues, and the courts would have difficulty determining just how serious his crimes are without the Justice League.

They also need time to destroy the superhuman genes that Luthor collected.

Of course, most importantly, Superman was a bit afraid that Viktor, who kept saying he wanted to live in isolation, would secretly kill Luthor if no one was watching.

If Luthor were detained in a normal prison on Earth, Viktor could easily kill him at any time.

After the Doomsday incident, even Superman wasn't sure just how strong Viktor is now.

What if... just what if someone who can fly, move underground, and casually smash continents decides to carry out a stealth assassination?

Who could possibly guard against that?

These days have become one of the busiest times in the Watchtower.

Cyborg originally picking any day of the week to go up to the Watchtower could only have happened to overlap with his shift.

But now it's different.

There are at least three people there with him every day.

Shazam stood in the corridor outside the circular prison, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.

He watched Green Arrow walk out, shaking his head after getting no results from the interrogation.

Behind him was Dr. Sivana, who had just finished being questioned, being escorted back to his cell by a guard robot casually made by Cyborg.

Shazam raised his hand to tap his own head, lowering his voice to say to Green Arrow.

"I told you, that woman has mental problems. Dr. Sivana said the same thing, right?"

Green Arrow squinted at Shazam and let out a sigh.

During these past few days, there's been quite a lot of progress on Luthor's interrogation side.

Only Pandora's case had gone nowhere, and no one knew if she was just stubborn or if something was wrong with her mind.

Pandora had firmly insisted that the magic box that could contain the Seven Deadly Sins had always been in her hands.

Initially, the Justice League members thought what Pandora said was some kind of metaphor.

But the newly recruited magic-based heroes had all taken turns. They had used spells, witchcraft, and all kinds of methods.

Still, they just couldn't find the magic box Pandora mentioned.

The woman had simply raised her left hand, locked tightly in high-tech handcuffs as if she were holding something invisible.

She even mocked them, saying that their mortal perspective simply can't see the magic box.

Afterward, they remembered that Pandora had briefly teamed up with Dr. Sivana.

Although they later turned against each other due to different beliefs, it might have just been a trick.

Did Pandora actually hide the real box?

That was why Green Arrow had interrogated Dr. Sivana.

But unfortunately, Dr. Sivana's attitude is exactly the same as Shazam's.

He firmly believed Pandora was mentally ill.

"If only I'd known that bitch didn't really have such a magic box, why would I have attacked her?!"

Green Arrow recalled everything Dr. Sivana just told him through gritted teeth.

"I was already so close, and then she said she was going to use some 'magic box' to permanently seal the Seven Deadly Sins!"

Dr. Sivana's emotions at the time were particularly agitated.

He had once been possessed by the Seven Deadly Sins and had experienced that kind of power.

He also firmly believed that only the power of the Seven Deadly Sins could bring him everything he wanted.

Hearing Pandora wanted to break open the Rock of Eternity and release the Seven Deadly Sins again, Dr. Sivana was so excited that he joined her without thinking.

Along the way, Dr. Sivana acted obediently and followed her orders, just hoping that after she released the Sins, he could find a way to take their power for himself.

Even if he couldn't take it all, Dr. Sivana at least wanted to get some benefit.

But unexpectedly, Pandora had planned to release them and then seal them again.

Permanently.

Sivana hadn't even had time to check whether she really had such a powerful magic box.

He immediately started fighting her on the spot.

In the end, the Seven Deadly Sins hadn't been released, and he had been captured instead.

Over the past few days, he had learned something shocking from the Justice League...

Pandora didn't have any magic box at all.

That woman, as if having delusions, held up an empty hand and said, "The box is here, the box is here."

"You could say it was ridiculous."

Not only had Green Arrow, who questioned him, felt frustrated, but Dr. Sivana himself also looked even more upset.

Even when the guard robots had pushed him roughly back into his cell, Dr. Sivana hadn't gotten angry.

He had just squatted on the ground and kept sighing.

Just as Shazam and Green Arrow were about to send the latest interrogation report to Batman, a newly recruited Justice League member walked over.

He wore a red and yellow suit with a flame that didn't produce smoke, and his eyes glowed golden.

Firestorm.

He had the ability to rearrange atoms and subatomic structures and could literally turn lead into gold.

As a non-magic-side superhero, Firestorm was personally recruited into the Justice League by Batman, precisely for his ability to manipulate atoms.

After all, Firestorm's debut as an independent superhero was some time ago.

Batman collected information on him and secretly observed him for a period of time.

The Flash, who has been unconscious, was analyzed and diagnosed in detail by the Justice League.

The atoms throughout the Flash's body were trembling in a strange pattern.

Batman was considering that Firestorm's ability might be able to perform a positive interference on the Flash.

After checking on the unconscious Flash, Firestorm had admitted that he couldn't effectively influence the atomic movement of organic matter.

However, Batman and Cyborg had recently been designing a conversion device.

They hoped to modify how Firestorm's fusion and decomposition waves work, which might help the Flash.

As soon as he opened his mouth, Firestorm's voice sounded like a strange mix of two voices combined.

"What were you two worried about?"

Green Arrow hadn't said anything, but Shazam had spoken directly and briefly explained what had been happening over the past few days.

"Is that so?"

Firestorm became interested.

These past few days have been too unreal for him—being approached by Batman, receiving a Justice League invitation, and even boarding the space Watchtower.

As a newly joined member, Firestorm had been very enthusiastic for quite a long time.

"Can I go take a look?"

Firestorm pointed to himself.

Green Arrow still hadn't spoken, but Shazam enthusiastically brought him before Pandora's cell.

"We all think she has some mental problems. There's really nothing much to see."

Shazam had said quietly to him.

But Firestorm had suddenly frozen.

Firestorm's glowing golden eyes stared at Pandora's raised left hand that looked like it was holding something invisible.

"That area… Is it the same as the condition on the Flash's body?"
