One night, the world shifted.
No one knew exactly what happened except Ethan. The man who once walked beside Yuna disappeared, leaving behind unanswered questions and a silence that never fully faded. Rumors spread, investigations ended, and time moved on… but the truth remained buried in the past.
Ethan carried it alone — the memory of blood on his hands, the choice he convinced himself was necessary. In his mind, it wasn't cruelty. It was protection. Possession disguised as devotion.
And she never knew that the reason her friend vanished… was the same man who now stood closest to her and love each other.
I month later after that incident happened Ethan confessed to Yuna but as anger not as regrets.
Ethan: (past)—
The room had felt too quiet when he spoke.
"Yuna I should tell you something," he had said, his voice calm — too calm for the weight of his words.
She had looked at him, confused by the seriousness in his eyes. "What is it?"
He hadn't hesitated. He never had.
"one month ago… the man who disappeared." His gaze had stayed fixed on hers, unflinching. "I killed him."
For a moment, she had thought she heard wrong. The world had seemed to pause, sound draining from the air as the meaning settled slowly, painfully into her chest.
"He was your friend," he had continued, his tone steady, almost gentle. "And he liked you."
Her breath had trembled. "Why would you—?"
"Because he wanted a place beside you," he had answered quietly. "A place that was never his."
There had been anger on his face, no guilt shadowing his expression — only certainty. His eyes had held hers with unwavering intensity, as if daring her to look away.
"I didn't regret it," he had said.
The words had fallen heavier than the confession itself.
"I would have made the same choice again," he had added, his voice low. "If someone threatened what was mine… I removed the threat."
Silence had stretched between them, thick with shock, fear, and something far more complicated. He had stepped closer, not forcing, not pleading — simply waiting.
"I never lied about protecting you," he had murmured. "I just never told you how far I was willing to go."
And for the first time, she had realized the safety she felt around him had always come with a shadow 'that was a killer shadow'.
Fear had settled quietly inside her, growing heavier with every second she looked at him. The man standing before her suddenly felt unfamiliar, as if the person she thought she knew had been replaced by someone colder, someone dangerous.
Her hands had trembled without her realizing it. His calm expression frightened her more than anger ever could. There had been no guilt in his eyes, no hesitation — only certainty, steady and unshaken.
She asked " who exactly are you, I know you... You didn't do it, just say that Ethan. Why did you do this type of shit. who exactly are you Ethan, tell me", She shouted.
he replied," I'm a murder Yuna and I killed him because he step inbetween my business". Yuna murmured "I hate you".
