"Why do you hate humans so much?" Seria asked.
Roselle's eyes narrowed.
"Don't get the wrong idea," she said coldly. "Just because I was told not to kill you doesn't make us friends. Know your place."
Seria wanted to speak up. She hesitated, noticing the murderous gaze she was receiving.
Then she sighed.
"Then can I at least use magic?" she asked. "I want to heal my friends."
Roselle remained silent.
"Your lord told you to watch over us until they wake up," Seria continued. "He wanted to speak with all of us. If you don't allow me to heal my comrades, you're actually inconveniencing your lord."
She met Roselle's gaze steadily.
"Will you really not allow it?"
Roselle's expression faltered.
Damn it. She got me.
She observed the saintess with hatred.
She had been waiting for this. Waiting for the saintess to try to use magic to heal her comrades - and the moment she did, Roselle would strike. She could kill them and blame it on being startled by the sudden magical energy.
