Chapter 60 - Eased Relationships

[Gained Fear Point from Draco Malfoy +1, converted and stored as Emotion Points!]

[Congratulations Host, Levitation Charm leveled up. Current Level: 9]

[Levitation Charm promoted to 'Specialization' stage. Extension spell learning unlocked!]

Kate didn't have time to check what extension spells the Levitation Charm could produce because, right now, she was under a bit of pressure.

"Harry won't really be expelled, will he?" Ron craned his neck, looking around worriedly.

Hermione, on the other hand, was filled with righteous indignation: "It's unfair. Malfoy clearly broke the rules too, so why didn't she take him away?"

"Harry..."

"It's unfair..."

Listening to the two little ones squatting together, muttering on completely different wavelengths, Kate felt like her head was about to explode.

So, why exactly was she dragged together with these two Gryffindors?

Oh, it seemed Hermione was afraid she would be retaliated against by Malfoy afterwards, so she forcibly dragged her to the edge of the Black Lake after Flying Class ended.

As Harry Potter's best friend, Ron also scrunched up his small face and insisted on tagging along.

"Worrying here is useless," she wiped the cold sweat from her forehead and comforted them calmly. "Let's go back and eat first."

She was still growing, after all.

After accepting the reality of her transmigration and rebirth, she had sworn to eat her fill at every meal.

Absolutely! She could not grow up to be as flat-chested as a runway like in her past life!

Hearing her tone of unconcern, Ron immediately shot up: "Harry was taken away for your sake!"

Kate nodded in understanding: "Indeed. Shall I observe three seconds of silence then?"

"You—"

"Alright, stop arguing!"

Hermione stood up, unable to bear it anymore. "Ron, didn't you want to apologize to Kate? She's right here now, so if you have something to say, say it quickly."

Ron's eyes went wide with bewilderment. He had indeed wanted to apologize earlier, but seeing Kate's indifferent attitude now, he was seized by another burst of anger.

"If there's nothing else, I'll go back first," Kate said, looking coolly at Ron, whose fur was practically about to bristle from anger.

Saying that, she prepared to turn and return to the castle.

However, she had only taken two steps when she was called back by Ron.

"Wait a minute, Shafiq!"

He walked quickly in front of Kate. Although his face was flushed red with anger, he still forced himself to bow: "I'm sorry. I had a loose mouth before. I apologize to you!"

Although a bit reckless, he was still a good kid overall.

Kate raised an eyebrow, dropped a "I know," then took Hermione's hand and strode away.

Ron raised his head, looking dumbfounded again: "Hey! You have to at least tell me if you've forgiven me or not!"

Watching Kate's retreating figure as she didn't even look back, he held back a breath of frustration and kicked a stone on the ground into the Black Lake, stirring up a ripple.

...

Hermione followed Kate closely, step by step, and only held her back when they were about to walk into the Great Hall.

"You made Malfoy float in the sky for so long today; he will definitely go and tattle. Professor Snape might even give you detention. have you thought about what to do?"

Recalling the moment the magic vanished and Malfoy collapsed onto the ground, his legs so weak he couldn't even take a step, she had truly broken into a sweat for Kate.

That guy cared so much about his face; he must absolutely hate Kate for making a fool of him.

"If he wants to tattle, hiding is useless." Kate smiled and patted her hand. "Don't worry, I'll handle it."

She just had to make sure he didn't go tattle.

Right now, Dumbledore wasn't paying much attention to her, and Snape wasn't a gossip. As long as she dealt with Malfoy, everything would be fine.

Given that guy's condition, he probably wouldn't be able to walk out of the Slytherin Common Room tonight.

Hearing that she was truly confident, Hermione barely managed to sigh in relief. "Alright then, be careful yourself. Also, we still have to think of a way to help Harry. He was taken away by Professor McGonagall because he helped you."

Most of the time, Hermione clearly distinguished between love and hate.

Although the Golden Trio hadn't formed in this period yet, Harry had, after all, stuck his neck out for Kate.

She wouldn't treat someone who was good to Kate too poorly.

How could Dumbledore's chosen Savior be kicked out of Dumbledore's base camp so easily? How would Voldemort play then?

Kate was well aware of Harry's future experiences, but she couldn't show it in front of Hermione.

"Then let's wait for him to come back and ask. If it's confirmed he's been punished, then we'll discuss how to help."

"Mhm!" Hermione gave a sweet smile. "I knew it, Kate isn't the kind of person who leaves someone in the lurch!"

Those words she said to Ron just now were definitely said deliberately to annoy him because of his bad tone.

If there was only one perfect thing in the world, it must be her Kate!

"Alright," Kate smiled, raising a hand to scrape Hermione's nose affectionately. "Let's go eat first. See you in the library tonight."

After speaking, she took the lead entering the Great Hall. Hermione quickly followed, entering one after the other.

Kate sat at the Slytherin table, surrounded by upper-year students. As for Malfoy and his followers...

Sure enough, they hadn't come.

She deliberately picked up a portion of mashed potatoes. After eating just a few bites, she caught a glimpse of Harry walking in from outside with a beaming face.

It seemed that following the title of Savior, the youngest Seeker of the century had also been born.

The grass where they had their Flying Class was very close to McGonagall's office. As long as Harry could display his talent, he would definitely be spotted by the former Quidditch player, Professor McGonagall.

Then, for the sake of Gryffindor, McGonagall would definitely let him join the House Quidditch team and become the Seeker.

To be honest, Kate really didn't quite understand.

A child who had been oppressed by his uncle and aunt for years suddenly putting on so many halos in the magical world—wouldn't Harry really lose his balance mentally and become good-for-nothing?

If it were her, having worked hard for years and suddenly becoming rich, if she didn't squander and show off properly, it wouldn't fit human nature at all.

Not to mention, letting Harry enjoy such halos for six or seven years, only to make him generously die to fight Voldemort at the final moment.

Honestly, it was just that Harry's personal level of enlightenment was relatively high. If it were someone with low moral character like her, she would definitely protect herself and run away immediately.

Cough!

Kate coughed lightly. Dinner was almost done, and she prepared to go to the library to save a seat.

If she didn't go early, the little eagles of Ravenclaw would occupy all the seats.

Unexpectedly, just as she stood up, she saw Blaise walking towards her, while Hermione's voice came from behind.

"Kate, let's go to the library together!"

She was just about to turn her head when she heard Blaise walk up to her side and remind her in a low voice: "Draco is in the Hospital Wing clamoring to complain to the Head of House. You'd better make a trip there."

Looking at this person with some surprise, Kate frowned suspiciously.
