Chapter 209: Brats of Konoha, Feel the Pain
After Orochimaru finished speaking, he reached out to press his hand against Sasuke's forehead.
Sasuke only felt a surge of intense Pain, and his body began to tremble uncontrollably.
"Argh—!"
Sasuke let out a wretched scream, his face contorted in agony.
At the same time, Byakuya, who was outside the tower, suddenly felt the Nine-Tailed power within him begin to go berserk.
Unable to control his body, he involuntarily arrived at the roof where Sasuke was.
When Byakuya saw Sasuke's Pain, his heart was filled with anger and worry.
"Sasuke!"
Byakuya cried out, wanting to rush forward and save Sasuke.
However, Sasuke had already fallen under Orochimaru's control.
"Byakuya, you're too late."
Sasuke looked at Byakuya, a hint of indifference showing in his eyes.
"No, Sasuke, I will definitely bring you back!"
Byakuya spoke with determination; he would never give up on a comrade.
However, Sasuke could no longer listen.
His heart held only the desire for power and the need to surpass Byakuya.
"Byakuya, leave. I no longer need you."
Sasuke spoke coldly, his tone full of resolution.
"Sasuke—!"
Byakuya couldn't accept this reality and rushed forward, trying to grab Sasuke.
However, Sasuke had already completely descended into darkness.
"Sasuke!"
Byakuya watched Sasuke's departing back, his heart filled with Pain and resentment.
He knew that this separation might mean an even deeper rift between them.
But he did not give up.
He believed that one day, he would find Sasuke and bring him back to their side.
Byakuya, Shikamaru, and the others returned to Konoha Village, their hearts heavy and full of worry.
However, just then, something unexpected happened.
Yahiko, who was supposed to have died in Konoha Village, actually reappeared before them under the identity of "Pain."
His eyes were filled with anger and hatred, as if he wanted to destroy the entire Konoha Village in one fell swoop.
"Brats of Konoha, feel the Pain!"
Pain spoke coldly, then waved his hand, and a massive sphere descended from the sky, enveloping the entire Konoha Village within it.
"This is the True Chibaku Tensei!"
Pain's voice rang in their ears, and Byakuya and the others were stunned.
They knew the power of this Barrier was immense; if they couldn't break it, the entire Konoha Village would be destroyed.
"We must find a way to break this Barrier as soon as possible!"
Byakuya spoke urgently. He knew time was of the essence and they had to act quickly.
However, the Barrier was far sturdier than they had imagined; their attacks had no effect on it at all.
"What do we do? What should we do?"
Shikamaru said anxiously, feeling the breath of despair.
"We can't give up, we have to find a way!"
Byakuya said firmly, his eyes reflecting absolute determination.
They continued to search for a way to break the Barrier, but as time passed, the Barrier continued to shrink.
They knew that if they didn't break it soon, the entire Konoha Village would be annihilated within this Barrier.
"Sasuke, Byakuya, where are you?"
Hinata was having a beautiful dream. In the dream, she kept calling out Byakuya's name, but in reality, she was still in a deep sleep with no sign of waking up.
In the entire Konoha Village, all the Ninjas had fallen into a deep sleep, and only Byakuya and the others had been spared because of Sasuke's Susanoo.
However, they couldn't let their guard down because as long as the moonlight was still shining, they couldn't go outside.
They could only hide within the Susanoo, searching for a way to break out of this predicament.
Sasuke sat quietly within the Susanoo, his eyes somewhat glazed over.
He thought back to the scene when the Edo Tensei Itachi ascended to heaven; it was the most unforgettable moment of his life.
Itachi's sacrifice had made him deeply understand what a true Ninja was and what true power was.
Just then, Sasuke's Sharingan suddenly resonated, and a mysterious power flooded into his body.
He closed his eyes, sensing the source of this power.
When he opened his eyes again, Itachi's figure actually appeared before him.
"Sasuke, can you hear me?"
Itachi's voice rang in his ears, and Sasuke was stunned.
He didn't know if this was a hallucination or reality, but he could clearly feel Itachi's presence.
"Brother, is it you?"
Sasuke asked tentatively, his heart filled with excitement and doubt.
"It's me, Sasuke."
Itachi looked at Sasuke, a hint of tenderness in his eyes. "I have something to tell you."
Sasuke listened intently to Itachi's words; he knew this was the final exchange between them as brothers.
Itachi began to tell the true story, about the history of the Uchiha Clan, the future of Konoha Village, and Sasuke's mission... Itachi's figure became somewhat blurred as he fell into memory.
As a child, Itachi had experienced the cruelty of the Ninja World War.
It was an era filled with blood and slaughter; he had witnessed the passing of countless lives with his own eyes.
