Jack emerged from the forest with a slight smile. The clearing was filled with mindless ghouls who stood still or walked in circles. Their last order from Alan had been to kill the man, but he had flown outside of their aggro range. Once Jack entered the clearing filled with undead, their heads all collectively looked in his direction.
"So, they are like a hive mind? But with the connection to their king lost, they are now just mindlessly following their last order."
The horde of ghouls all trudged toward him, but they were laughably slow.
"It seems their mana supply has been cut, and they are running off pure stamina now. This is going to be a walk in the park."
Jack rolled his shoulders and walked forward fearlessly.
"Using spells directly on another person's body is usually difficult," he mused. "Their own mana acts defensively, interfering with the spell. But if these zombies lack mana, then my plan should succeed."
