Before long, Anos returned to the Dungeon world.
The Holy Church he had established in the world of Akame ga Kill was still too weak to provide meaningful support, which meant he would have to handle most things himself.
"This is what I need, Can you prepare it?"
Standing in front of a general goods shop, Anos handed over a long list.
"…Well… some of these items are rather rare, but our shop should be able to gather everything."
The shop owner swallowed nervously as he looked over the massive list.
He had never seen a customer order this many materials at once.
"How quickly can you prepare them?" Anos asked.
Time was tight.
After obtaining what he needed here, he still had to return to the High School DxD world to use it.
The short amount of time he could spend in this world simply was not enough.
Unfortunately, every use of the World Gate consumes one day from the total limit of 365 days. Otherwise, he would have happily bounced back and forth between worlds as often as he liked.
And with Ophis not yet on his side, frequent world-jumping would be far too wasteful.
"Woohoo! It's all here!"
Before long, the owner returned with the entire shipment.
"Thank you."
Anos quickly checked the goods, then transferred every material away.
"Oh! Is that transfer magic? You must be a high-tier mage, sir!" the owner exclaimed in amazement.
This was another advantage of reincarnation.
When someone entered another world through reincarnation, the world itself did not reject them.
If Anos had simply descended directly into another dimension, the stronger he was, the stronger the world's rejection would become.
At a certain level of power, he might even be completely denied entry or forcibly expelled.
Because he had chosen reincarnation, Anos could freely use the magic he had developed in the High School DxD universe while inside the Dungeon world.
"Thanks for the help, shopkeeper."
A faint flower-shaped glow flickered in Anos's eyes.
Using a memory-erasing spell, he wiped the shopkeeper's memories related to him.
What he planned to do next was a little… morally questionable. He could not allow anyone, mortal or divine, to trace the source of his materials back to him.
Once everything was ready, Anos returned to the High School DxD world and adjusted the time flow again.
A ratio of 100 to 1 was the only way he would have enough time.
"Calculation… Determine whether ten grams of this material are required to produce one liter of Divine Wine."
Anos began the process.
What he was analyzing… was the formula and brewing method for Divine Wine.
In the Dungeon world, Divine Wine referred specifically to the legendary liquor brewed by Soma, the God of Wine.
Soma truly was an extraordinary figure.
He devoted himself completely to brewing divine liquor. He had never relied on mysterious powers or special abilities from his Familia members.
Instead, through nothing but experimentation with ingredients, refinement, blending, and technique, he had created Divine Wine.
Back in the heavens, Soma used divine power to brew it. But in the mortal world, divine power could not be used.
Yet he had still managed to recreate Divine Wine without it. That level of talent was undeniably remarkable.
Unfortunately for him, the brilliance of that achievement was something Anos could surpass in a very short time.
Before arriving in Orario, Anos had already purchased a complete encyclopedia of every known material found there.
By testing each ingredient one by one and determining whether it was part of the Divine Wine formula, he gradually identified the full list of necessary materials.
Now he was determining the exact quantities needed for each ingredient… and how to improve the formula itself.
After all, there was no rule that Divine Wine had to be brewed using the exact same ingredients as Soma.
Even the gods constantly refined their methods to create better wine. How could the current recipe possibly be perfect?
Soma might not have been able to achieve absolute perfection.
But Anos could come extremely close.
The only reason perfection remained impossible was simple. Individual tastes varied, and different people would always judge the same wine differently.
Of course, Anos had no intention of selling pure Divine Wine directly to customers.
First, he would dilute it by a factor of one hundred.
Divine Wine had an extremely strong addictive and hallucinogenic effect. Anyone who tasted it once would crave it endlessly.
The members of Soma Familia worked themselves to exhaustion gathering valis just to earn the right to drink Soma's wine.
But in the future, things would change.
Adventurers across Orario would slaughter monsters like mad, desperately trying to earn valis… all so they could buy Anos's Divine Wine.
First, they would use the maps he provided to hunt monsters and give him a cut of the profits.
Then they would use the weapons he supplied. Every bullet fired would effectively be an offering of valis to him. And if that bullet killed a monster, he would also receive a share of the valis earned from selling its magic stone.
Finally, those same adventurers would take the money they earned and spend it on Anos's Divine Wine.
The money would flow right back into his pocket.
Wasn't that a perfect economic loop?
Of course, nothing in the world was truly perfect. Reaching something close to perfection would require the system to mature first.
Right now… the industry was only just beginning.
