In Akame ga Kill World
Asia finished her daily prayers as she always did.
"Lord… please guide us forward."
After reading the scriptures again and again and offering repeated prayers, threads of extremely pure faith energy slowly flowed from the void into the sacred scripture.
This scripture was a divine artifact given to her by the Lord.
Its purpose was simple.
To allow her to spread the faith in another world.
Now, step by step, she was fulfilling that mission.
Although it had been less than a year since she arrived in this world, she and Jeanne had already gathered an astonishing number of followers.
Asia possessed powerful healing abilities.
Combined with the sacred scripture that could replicate itself endlessly and grant blessings to believers, their church had spread rapidly throughout the land.
As long as one was devout enough, the Lord's blessing could be received.
Curing illness.
Healing wounds.
Restoring energy for an entire day.
Bringing good fortune.
All of these effects were the result of using most of the collected faith power directly on believers.
Anos had not withheld the power of faith.
After all, if faith energy traveled across worlds to reach his divine core, it would already be diluted beyond recognition.
But if it was taken from the people and returned to the people, the powerful miracles it created would naturally cause faith to spread.
With Asia and th Jeanne working together, the Holy Church of Anos had begun to take root in this world.
Asia, the Saint of Healing.
Jeanne, the Saint of Protection.
Under their guidance, the faith was growing stronger every day.
After finishing her prayer, Jeanne rose from beside her. The two of them always prayed together.
"Asia, today we're meeting the leader of the Path of Peace, We should prepare."
Jeanne's armor clinked softly as she escorted Asia toward the agreed meeting location.
The Path of Peace was another major religious group in this world.
Jeanne knew their leader also possessed healing abilities similar to Asia's.
However, Asia's power came from the Lord.
The leader of the Path of Peace, according to divine revelation, could heal others only because he carried the bloodline of a creature known as a Danger Beast.
In other words, their group was merely a congregation formed around a unique ability.
The Holy Church, on the other hand, possessed a complete system of faith.
They had a true god.
In every sense, the difference between them was obvious.
Their god was always watching over them.
That faith gave them the courage to face anything without fear.
Even gods themselves.
Today was the day they would negotiate.
The leader of the Path of Peace had already arrived.
To show sincerity, he had chosen a meeting place close to the territory of the Holy Church.
Today was a negotiation, not a battle.
Respect had to be shown.
Both the Holy Church and the Path of Peace were expanding rapidly during the chaos of the age.
At first, their differences hadn't mattered much.
But as both groups grew larger, conflict inevitably appeared.
The number of believers in the world was limited.
If everyone followed one church, who would remain for the other?
Furthermore, the Holy Church believed in a single supreme god.
That fundamental principle made compromise difficult.
It was a contradiction at the very core of their beliefs.
If Asia and Jeanne had been irrational fanatics, war might have already broken out.
Fortunately, both were gentle and kind.
And with Anos's perfectly clear guidance, large-scale conflict had been avoided.
When they arrived at the meeting place, they saw the leader.
He was a blond man who had brought only a single guard.
His presence radiated warmth and compassion.
On Asia's side, Jeanne alone served as protection But Jeanne's reputation as the Saint of Protection was already famous.
Anyone who had heard of the Holy Church knew she possessed tremendous strength.
Given that situation, the opposing leader bringing only one guard showed clear sincerity.
"Leader, I am Asia."
Asia greeted him with a soft smile.
Living in this world had taught her many things.
Under Jeanne's protection, she had kept her kindness and innocence.
But she had also matured.
"Saint Asia, it is an honor to meet you."
The leader returned the greeting with a calm, welcoming smile.
He did not treat her as an enemy because of their differing beliefs.
He addressed her respectfully as Saint.
Both religious groups had grown rapidly for similar reasons.
Asia could heal.
The leader could heal.
While his ability was weaker than hers, any miraculous power quickly attracted attention.
The Holy Church possessed Anos's divine revelations.
The Path of Peace possessed the leader's ability to glimpse fragments of the future.
These miracles allowed both organizations to gather people in a chaotic era.
Yet there was still a major difference.
The Holy Church had a real god.
Asia's power came from a divine artifact.
Their path was guided by divine revelation.
The Path of Peace, however, relied entirely on its leader.
After exchanging pleasantries, the leader spoke again.
"The one negotiating with me… is not you, correct?"
"Yes."
Asia clasped the cross around her neck and prayed softly.
"Is your Lord truly real?"
The leader's voice became slightly urgent.
His foresight ability allowed him to glimpse certain events, but not freely.
All he knew was that the one he would speak with today was their so-called god.
But he had no information about what kind of being that god truly was.
"Our Lord is real."
Asia answered firmly.
"The blessings we receive… the power that allows me to heal others… all come from the Lord."
Asia's sacred gear, Twilight Healing, had originally been a gift from the Biblical God.
Of course, the god she now served was different.
Anos could technically grant divine artifacts as well.
But with his current power, such artifacts would require the core of a World Dragon jewel and the souls of dragons like Ddraig or Fafnir.
…
Soon afterward, Anos descended through the sacred scripture.
The scripture served many purposes.
It stored faith energy.
It allowed believers to read the teachings.
And most importantly, it allowed Anos to descend.
His eyes turned gold.
The world around him appeared like flowing streams of information.
Every thought he had was instantly analyzed and judged by his enhanced abilities.
But that wasn't the most important part.
What mattered most was the authority of divine proof.
A god must demonstrate their existence.
Suddenly—
Golden light filled the surroundings.
The leader of the Path of Peace realized he had been transported into a golden space.
Warm.
Sacred.
It stirred the desire to believe.
The desire to rely on something greater.
After a moment, he looked up.
Before him stood a young figure surrounded by radiant light.
White robes woven with golden threads flowed like clouds around him.
A divine crown rested upon his head.
His face shone with a gentle smile of salvation.
A godlike youth.
No.
A youthful god.
"May I ask…"
The leader hesitated.
"You wish to know something, I already know your question."
The young god raised his hand.
The leader instinctively stopped moving.
"Then, God… why do you not personally save our world?"
The leader had already begun to believe.
"Have I not already sent my messengers?"
Anos replied calmly.
"But their power is not enough to save the world!"
The leader's voice rose with emotion.
He had never cared about power or authority.
He had only become a leader because of his unusual ability.
All he truly wanted was for the people to live better lives.
Even now he admitted he lacked talent for leadership.
That was why others managed much of the organization for him But this was a god.
Surely nothing was beyond a god's power.
Why would a god watch their people suffer?
That was why he asked.
Because he truly wished to save humanity.
"Your world does need salvation."
Anos smiled gently.
"But understand this."
"Your world is not the only one that needs saving."
