Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Aethervyrth – The First Silence

[A small hut, deep in a mysterious forest]

Fifteen years old and striking, the boy sat motionless in his chair, his long, ink-black hair catching the light as he tilted his head back. With his brow furrowed in deep concentration, he gazed into the vast expanse of the sky, his dark brown eyes reflecting a world of unspoken thoughts.

"So, I got reincarnated," the boy said as he looked upto the sky.

It has been three days since I arrived in this world, dropped into a small hut surrounded by an endless forest. At first, I found it hard to believe, but then I remembered the voice—the one that had spoken to me before everything changed.

Recalling the voice, Allen muttered, "This is my new beginning,I will live the perfect life and uncover the mysteries of this world."

As Allen stilled his resolve....

He got up from the chair and walked over to the table piled with books. Having already read through a few of them, he was beginning to understand exactly where he was. He pulled out a chair and sat down, focusing his attention on a volume that detailed the history and geography of this new world.

Allen traced his finger over the title of the ancient map, his voice barely a whisper as he read the name of the world he now inhabited. "The Archotel," he murmured, realizing that in this land, every ending was merely the seed for a new beginning.

The world of Archotel was comprised of five massive continents and three vast, churning seas. Among them, two of the continents remained shrouded in shadow—designated as Mysterious Zones where no human had ever set foot and returned to tell the tale.

As for Allen's current location

He found himself situated deep within a mysterious, dark forest said to be the physical manifestation of primordial energy—the raw essence that existed before creation and dictated the threads of fate. It was a place untouched by the passage of time, enduring long before the first kingdoms were ever conceived. Within its borders, the air was so heavy with power that sound itself seemed to hesitate, earning the forest its ancient name: "Aethervyrth, The First Silence."

The forest of Aethervyrth shared its ancient boundaries with three powerful nations. It stood as a silent, natural barrier between their borders, a land that no kingdom dared to claim.

These three nations are :

The Aethelgard Hegemony: A militaristic human nation built into high mountain cliffs, on northern edge of Aethervyrth.

Vaelora: An ancient elven nation that borders the western edge of Aethervyrth. Known for its towering spires of living white wood and ivory, the kingdom is perpetually bathed in a soft, magical twilight.

Ironshorn Citadel: A fortress carved into the "World's Spine" mountain range, famous for its unbreakable steel which borders the eastern edge of Aethervyrth. It is a nation of dwarves.

And at the southern edge of Aethervyrth lay a vast, dark body of water known as :

The Sea of Fangs: A treacherous region filled with sharp coral reefs and aggressive sea monsters like the Cetus.

He also learned that Sanctum Celestia, the Holy Nation, and Pandemonium, the Demon Realm, were located on completely different continents. Separated by vast oceans.

After absorbing every information the world had to offer from the pages of his book, Allen finally rose from his chair and stepped out of the hut.

------------

"Stepping into the light, he began to survey the landscape, searching for any sign that the world matched the descriptions in his books."

He looked around and found himself boxed in; his small hut sat at the heart of a dense forest that stretched out endlessly in every direction.

In his small yard, a patch of vegetables grew to provide him with food, while a gentle river flowed to the south, offering fresh water and the various essentials he needed to survive.

Determined to reclaim his fate, Allen began meticulously planning his survival in this world; his first and most urgent objective was to find a way out of the suffocating, shadow-drenched depths of the dangerous forest.

But before that.....

Allen began picking vegetables from the yard and sighed, "It has been three days since I came to this world, but I am just surviving on water."

He sat down on a chair, eating the vegetables in his hand as he started thinking about what he had to do from now on.

As Allen was lost in thought, a sudden rustle came from the bushes on the right side of the forest. He scrambled to his feet and called out toward the sound.

"Who is there?" Allen called out, stepping cautiously toward the bushes. He was on high alert, well aware that this forest was filled with various monsters and mysterious creatures. Spotting a knife on the ground, he quickly snatched it up and continued forward, his guard raised.

He approached the spot cautiously, his grip tightening on the knife. Just as he lunged forward to attack, he found nothing. There wasn't a single trace of a monster to be found. Allen stood there, dumbfounded, beginning to think it had all been his imagination—until suddenly!

A creature erupted from the brush behind him. He threw himself forward just as a jagged limb swept past, missing his neck by a fraction of an inch.

Allen whirled around to face his attacker, and as he locked eyes with the creature, his face turned deathly pale.

It was Rabbit.

It was, indeed, a rabbit. Though the creature resembled a normal rabbit from his own world, the sheer killing intent radiating from it and its twisted, distorted features sent a cold shiver racing down Allen's spine.

As he weighed his options, the rabbit suddenly lunged toward him with blinding speed. Allen tightened his grip on the knife and charged to meet it; in that moment, he cast aside his fear of death, drawing strength from the memories of the many hardships he had endured in his previous life.

Sparkle!!!!

Suddenly, a mystical blue light surged from Allen's knife, flowing into a brilliant arc that struck the rabbit's body with unerring precision.

SHATTER!!!

With heavy hit, the rabbit's form shattered into a thousand jagged fragments, vanishing instantly and leaving nothing behind but a heavy, crimson spray of blood.

Allen collapsed onto the hard ground, finally letting out a long, shuddering sigh of relief.

"I almost died..." The words hung in the air as Allen gazed at the knife in disbelief, wondering where that strange, mystical light had come from.

"Was it magic?" Allen wondered, his gaze fixed on the blade as he searched for any trace of the light that had just saved his life.

Then allen realised....

"It was truly magic. When the light appeared, I felt my energy drain away. Is this the power of this world?

If it is true, I must learn everything about the magic in this world; I must become stronger to protect myself." Allen stilled his resolve as he looked up at the sky.

"Pushing himself up from the dirt, Allen headed toward the hut. A single thought echoed in his mind: "This is the beginning of my magical journey."
