Chapter 22 - This Is Big News That Will Shock the Entire World!

(Please Give Power Stones and Reviews)

Leno couldn't be bothered with his hysterical screaming.

He walked toward him step by step, the icy killing intent around him seeming to lower the temperature of the air itself.

"Now…" Leno looked at the Celestial Dragon who was trembling and pissing himself, a deceptively gentle smile on his face.

"Who else is going to save you?"

Saint Charlos had completely wet himself.

Disgusted, Leno took two steps back and glanced at the three women beside him, a teasing smile playing on his lips.

"Well? Dare to personally kill this so-called World Noble?"

The three women exchanged a glance.

"We're already at this point. Of course we kill him," Robin said first, her tone icy. "Leave this kind of scum alive to pollute the air?"

"Exactly!" Domino immediately chimed in. "Whatever Lord Leno does, I'll do!"

Kalifa shrugged helplessly. "We've come this far. What's there to say? Kill him."

Their casual conversation utterly shattered the Celestial Dragon's final psychological defense.

He had still harbored a sliver of hope—

thinking they would fear his status.

But now he understood.

These people were complete lunatics!

They weren't afraid of the World Government at all!

Enduring the pain, he quietly tried to wriggle his body, attempting to crawl toward the ship's railing to jump into the sea.

Staying on board meant certain death. Jumping might offer a slim chance of survival.

Leno didn't even spare him a proper glance.

He simply took a few steps forward, lifted his foot—and stomped down hard.

Crack!

"AAAAAAAHHHH—!!! My foot! My foot!!!"

"You damned lowly insects! How dare you treat a descendant of the Creator like this?!"

"The World Government will never let you off!!!"

His pig-like shrieks echoed across the deck.

"So noisy…" Leno frowned impatiently. "Not obedient at all."

Before his words even faded—

he lashed out with another kick, striking the Celestial Dragon squarely in the mouth!

Pff!

Blood mixed with shattered teeth filled his mouth.

He could no longer scream clearly, only producing muffled, pained whimpers.

The other three women stepped forward as well.

Without mercy, they "rewarded" the once-arrogant noble with a flurry of kicks.

Fortunately, they were all wearing long pants or combat attire—

otherwise it would have turned into fanservice.

Kick after kick.

Robin in particular struck the hardest.

She vented Ohara's tragedy and twenty years of fleeing for her life in every blow.

It didn't take long—

the Celestial Dragon was breathing out far more than breathing in.

On the verge of death.

Leno grabbed him like a dead dog.

"This time's Heavenly Tribute—anything special in it?"

He waited a moment.

All he heard was air wheezing out of the man's throat.

"Right. My bad. Forgot you can't talk anymore," Leno clicked his tongue.

"Forget it. We'll take a look ourselves. As for you… go die."

With that, his fingers tightened sharply.

Crack!

A crisp snap of a broken neck.

The Celestial Dragon's head lolled to one side, completely lifeless.

Leno casually tossed the corpse into the sea.

Then he turned and walked toward the ship's interior.

That was his true objective.

"Oh, right."

Without turning back, he addressed the trembling women who had been abducted by the Celestial Dragon.

"Clean up the deck. When we reach the next island, I'll let you go."

The women froze for a moment—

then dropped to their knees, sobbing as they kowtowed in gratitude.

"Thank you, sir! Thank you for saving us!"

Leno didn't look back.

He had seen this kind of thing far too often.

Behind every Celestial Dragon lay countless ruined families—

with the Marines protecting them.

That was the darkness of this pirate world.

When he and the three women stepped deep into the cargo hold—

even with mental preparation, they were slightly stunned.

Mountains of gold coins, jewels, and Beli were piled high.

Under the dim lighting, they shimmered temptingly, so numerous they were impossible to count!

And in an exquisite box placed separately—

lay a Devil Fruit covered in strange spiral patterns.

"Tsk tsk… this much Beli is more than enough to refit this ship from top to bottom," Leno said with a satisfied grin.

Massive profit.

At this moment, he almost considered the Celestial Dragon his lucky charm.

"Just… where are we going to store all this? When we refit the ship, where do we put it?" Kalifa adjusted her glasses, raising a practical concern.

"True…" Leno nodded. "Besides, not every shipwright would dare take on modifying this vessel."

"We'd better make it look more worn down. Less conspicuous."

With that, he immediately got to work.

Without damaging the ship's core keel—

he used the Chop-Chop Fruit's power to precisely tear up the outer structure.

Soon, the vessel looked battered and barely seaworthy, as though it had endured countless storms.

Even if the Celestial Dragon came back to life, he wouldn't recognize it as his former ship.

As for the mountain of wealth inside—

a powerful urge surged within Leno to claim every last bit as his own!

He didn't realize—

that inside his mind,

besides the demon statue awakened by rage,

the chains binding another statue—the one representing Greed—had loosened considerably.

"I'll try… see if I can store it," Leno muttered mysteriously, saying something the three women couldn't understand at all.

He walked alone toward the treasure-filled hold.

The three women exchanged puzzled glances, utterly clueless about what he meant.

Driven by overwhelming curiosity, the three women immediately followed him inside.

They wanted to see exactly what he was planning to do.

Meanwhile—

at the World Economy News Paper.

"Big news! This is earth-shattering big news!!"

Morgans had clearly captured the moment Leno killed the Celestial Dragon.

He had even snapped a perfectly framed photo.

His feathers trembled with excitement.

"President… shouldn't we notify the World Government first about something like this?" someone beside him asked cautiously.

"Notify them for what?!" Morgans exclaimed excitedly. "Do you know who that man is? A former Marine Headquarters Vice Admiral—now a rebel, Leno!"

"He killed a Celestial Dragon! This is news that will shock the entire world!!"

"Tell the World Government? So they can suppress it?!"

He had no intention of informing the World Government.

Instead, he planned to send the news to every corner of the world through his News Coo network!

That was his professional creed!

Birdman Morgans was completely immersed in the massive sensation this story would cause.

And thanks to his concealment, Leno gained the time he needed to completely overhaul the ship.

Elsewhere—

the ship that Leno had deliberately battered into a shabby wreck was slowly approaching Water 7.

The three women crowded around Leno,

tugging at his arms and chattering nonstop.

"Just tell us already! We're really curious where all that money went!"

"Yeah! It filled the entire cargo hold before—how come now there are only five chests of Beli left?"

"After repairing the ship, we'll probably only have 300 million Beli remaining at most!"

"We promise we won't tell anyone!"
