Chapter 59 - I Can Restore My Arm—Can You?

Sabo was kicked flying by Leno.

At first, it didn't attract much attention. The battlefield was too chaotic—who had the leisure to focus on him?

But then Luffy's heart-rending roar echoed across the warzone.

"SABO!!!"

That shout drew countless gazes!

Well—Straw Hat was still Straw Hat. Of course, it might also have been because his voice was just that loud.

On the execution platform, Ace followed the sound.

Just in time to see Sabo coughing blood as he was blasted into the ruins.

His eyes split with fury as he screamed in grief:

"SABO!!!"

Seeing this, Garp's heart skipped a beat.

He didn't need to think to know Leno's true target was Luffy!

"LUFFY! RUN!!" Garp roared, no longer caring about Whitebeard.

He knew Luffy's potential was great—but potential had not yet become strength.

He was no match for Leno!

Having just clashed head-on with Whitebeard, Garp didn't hesitate for a second. He abruptly changed direction and charged toward Leno and Luffy like a cannonball!

Red-faced and furious, he looked like an enraged bull.

Whitebeard, seeing this, didn't stop him. Instead, a sharp gleam flashed in his eyes.

He would've preferred Garp to be drawn away.

After all, he had come here to rescue Ace. One less old monster like Garp blocking him only increased the chances of success.

Why would he interfere?

Though Garp had left, Akainu was still attacking relentlessly—but the pressure was far lighter than before.

Seizing the opportunity, several Whitebeard division commanders charged toward the execution platform with everything they had!

Diamond Jozu, Flower Sword Vista, and the others unleashed their full strength, trying to break through.

Most were desperately intercepted by Marine Vice Admirals who had recovered their wits.

Only Marco the Phoenix, relying on his flight and regenerative flames, was getting closer and closer to the platform!

Meanwhile—

Seeing Garp rushing toward him like a human missile, Leno didn't show the slightest panic.

Instead, a mocking sneer curved his lips.

"Old man, only remembering now? Too late!"

Who was closest to Luffy?

Obviously him!

No matter how fast Garp was, he couldn't be faster than a hand already within arm's reach!

"You're too late!" Leno sneered, not slowing down as he lunged toward a momentarily distracted Luffy.

Luffy tried to resist.

"Gomu Gomu no—"

Too slow.

Leno's speed was overwhelming.

His Armament-coated hand clamped down on Luffy's head.

Even if the enraged Garp arrived now, Leno could simply use Luffy as a shield.

But before Garp reached them—

A lazy, faintly lecherous voice sounded out.

"Ama no Murakumo Sword~"

Golden light gathered into a human form. Kizaru appeared at Leno's rear flank.

The blade of light in his hand slashed without hesitation at the arm holding Luffy!

Seeing Kizaru intervene, Garp was overjoyed.

"Borsalino! Well done! Hurry—save Luffy!"

Even the brewing storm in the sky seemed to ease slightly at this sudden development.

Facing the incoming slash, the mockery on Leno's face deepened.

A slash, huh? Interesting.

He didn't release Luffy.

Instead, his fingers tightened.

Harder.

"AAAAAAAH—!!!"

Amid Luffy's distorted scream of agony, Leno's Armament-coated fingers dug viciously into the scarred eye socket.

And yanked.

Rip—!

Blood splattered!

A warm, bloodshot eyeball was torn forcibly from Luffy's socket!

Almost simultaneously—

Shing!

Kizaru's blade passed cleanly through Leno's body, severing his right arm at the shoulder!

The severed arm and the eyeball flew into the air at the same time, accompanied by Luffy's earth-shattering scream.

"LUFFY!!!!!!"

Sabo, Ace, and Garp roared together—voices filled with rage, shock, and unbearable pain!

Garp finally arrived.

Seeing his grandson's horrific state, his entire body trembled. His eyes were bloodshot.

Without hesitation, he threw a furious punch at Leno!

This blow held nothing back—overwhelming rage and Conqueror's Haki infused within it.

Boom!

Even as Leno raised an arm to block, he was blasted backward, carving deep trenches into the ice before finally stabilizing.

He shook his numb, aching arm, expression grave.

"When this old man goes berserk… he's no joke."

No wonder that after Ace's death, Sengoku had pinned Garp down.

Akainu wouldn't have died—but he definitely would've been beaten half to death.

Leno was well aware that he still fell short of a fully unleashed Garp.

Meanwhile, the arm severed by Kizaru had already flown back and reattached itself.

Precision navigation.

Seeing this, Kizaru pouted theatrically.

"Oh my~ how troublesome. I forgot Leno's Devil Fruit is the Chop-Chop Fruit. Immune to slashing attacks~"

"Even Armament-infused slashes don't work. So scary~"

On the other side, Garp cradled Luffy, hands trembling, tears streaming down his face.

"Luffy! My grandson! Are you okay?!"

Due to pain and blood loss, Luffy's consciousness was fading. Only weak groans escaped him.

Luffy: Do I look okay to you…?

Endless regret filled Garp's heart.

If only he had killed Leno in the cradle back then—

None of this would've happened.

He lifted his head and shoved the gravely injured Luffy into Kizaru's arms.

Whether Kizaru had forgotten—or done it on purpose—no longer mattered.

"Borsalino! Hurry! Take Luffy to Tsuru! He must be healed!"

He paused, then added, "And Koby too!"

Far away, unconscious Koby: Thank you for finally remembering me, sir…

Kizaru nodded. "Understood~"

At this moment, no one wanted to provoke an already berserk Garp—not even Akainu kept silent.

He wasn't stupid.

After Kizaru departed, Garp slowly straightened.

Terrifying Conqueror's Haki burst forth from his body, almost tangible.

Dark red lightning crackled wildly.

The legendary Marine veteran—full power unleashed!

His eyes burned red as he stared at Leno, voice hoarse.

"You damned brat… this time… I will never let you escape!"

If looks could kill, Leno would've been shredded to pieces already.

The sky churned violently, storm winds howling—its fury seemingly no less than Garp's.

Facing that killing intent, Leno merely shrugged indifferently.

"This was a gift I prepared especially for you. Like it? No need to thank me. In the future… there'll be more."

The words were oil on fire.

Seeing Leno's hateful face—

Recalling the image of Luffy's eye being torn out—

The final thread of reason in Garp's mind snapped.

"AAAAAAH!!! DIE!!!"

With a roar, he charged at Leno like a madman, too fast to track.

At the same time—

High above the clouds—

A man wearing a green hood, a wind-tossed cloak, and a tattoo resembling a footprint across his face looked down coldly.

Monkey D. Dragon.

His gaze pierced through the clouds, locking onto Leno below.

"You dare hurt my son…"

His eyes shifted toward Domino, who was currently battling a Marine Vice Admiral.

"Then you'll taste… what it's like to lose someone important."
