"If you wanted one thing in life, what would it be?"
Oren remembered Eugene asking him one day.
His eyes snapped to his friend's, "What?"
Eugene smiled at him, "What's something you wish for?"
Oren ticked his jaw. "I don't believe in fate and destiny and don't believe in anything granting wishes."
Eugene sighed, "I hope you can be fulfilled one day."
Oren's eyes were wide open. But he couldn't see. His vision was blurred.
"Shit," he cursed, feeling liquid trail from his eyes and a low chuckle escaped his lips.
Never would he ever think he would cry. Crying were not for men.
But look at him now. He clenched his hands into fists. He wasn't really pained on losing his family. They didn't even consider him as one.
But Eugene…Eugene was his best buddy.
Today was the day Rees claimed he would free hm and all he could think of were the people who couldn't escape death.
The world was fucked up and horrible.
