"You... you mean to say... you can still power up further?" Goku was caught a little off guard.
This Frieza really is something else.
I transformed into Super Saiyan 2 and barely managed to get ahead of him.
He's way stronger than the Frieza from my timeline.
In that moment, Goku almost didn't have the heart to finish Frieza off.
Keeping him around to push his own limits would be twice the gain for half the effort.
That said — only on the condition that Frieza stayed away from Earth.
If he ever made a move to destroy Earth, Goku would take him out without a second thought.
"Goku, you'd better be ready to die!" Frieza kept sneering.
Everyone gathered at the Sacred World of the Kai pressed their faces closer to the crystal ball on the rock, watching with wide eyes.
"Frieza's been beaten up like that and he still looks this confident..." Yamcha murmured, thinking it over.
"Don't tell me this guy can still get even stronger?" Krillin scratched his bald head.
"No way — is he really able to transform again?" Tien asked, puzzled.
Everyone turned to look at Old Kai, waiting to see what he'd say.
"I don't know either, stop looking at me!" Old Kai huffed.
"Frieza's already at his peak form — there's no way he can transform any further," Supreme Kai said with a confident shake of his head.
"My thoughts exactly," Kibito agreed.
"Thank goodness Goku brought us all here to the Sacred World of the Kai. I never imagined Frieza could have gotten this powerful," Grand Elder Guru sighed again and again, his gratitude toward Goku deepening with every breath.
Frieza's smile widened, growing more radiant by the second.
Then — Frieza threw his head back and let it happen. Golden light blazed across his body as limitless energy exploded outward.
In an instant, Frieza was engulfed in a brilliant golden aura.
"He... has Frieza turned Super Saiyan too?!" Yamcha cried out in shock, eyes wide and disbelieving.
"Is Frieza a Saiyan? He doesn't really look like one," Tien said slowly.
Krillin: "..."
Supreme Kai: "..."
Grand Elder Guru: "..."
Everyone else was left completely speechless.
That's Super Saiyan? Really?
Goku stared at Frieza's transformation for a long moment, completely stunned, struggling to process what he was seeing.
"Ho ho ho ho!" Frieza cackled with delight, watching Goku with evident amusement. "Surprised, aren't you, Goku? Bet you never saw this coming! Going by your naming system, I suppose you could call this — Golden Frieza!"
Goku's expression turned serious. He raised his guard immediately.
He could clearly sense it — Frieza's power had shot far, far beyond his own.
How is Frieza this strong?
Back on Frieza's planet, I had him completely overwhelmed. He couldn't even fight back.
"Well, Goku?" Frieza roared with laughter and slowly held up one finger. "Ten seconds. I only need ten seconds to put you on the ground for good!"
"You're right — at your current power level, the form I'm in right now has no chance against you," Goku said, taking a slow, deep breath. He smiled without a care in the world.
"And you're still smiling?!" Frieza bristled, and immediately moved to attack.
"Hold on, Frieza!" Goku waved his hand quickly to stop him.
"What? Ready to get on your knees and beg for mercy? It's too late for that!" Frieza snapped.
"No — I'm going to transform one more time, and then we'll have a proper fight," Goku said, and let out a roar. The golden flames around him blazed outward in every direction.
Tremendous energy radiated from Goku's body, spreading in all directions.
The surging ki even ripped through the vacuum of space and reached all the way to the Sacred World of the Kai.
Crackle... crackle... crackle...
When they looked again, the lightning crackling around Goku had become far more intense, snapping and popping without end.
At the same time, Goku's hair began to grow — rapidly, shooting backward — and in moments it had grown past his waist.
His eyebrows disappeared, sinking deep into the ridge of his brow, giving his features a fiercer, more dangerous look.
Krillin and the others on the Sacred World of the Kai could only stare, eyes wide and mouths open, utterly dumbfounded as they watched Goku transform into Super Saiyan 3.
"Th-This... is this Goku's ki? Did it just reach us all the way from Namek?" Krillin murmured to himself.
"You're... you can't be serious. This is impossible," Kibito sputtered, taking a long moment to come back to his senses.
"Incredible... the ki of a mortal actually reached the Sacred World of the Kai!" Supreme Kai said, visibly shaken.
"Supreme Kai, sir... his power right now is already way beyond Majin Buu, isn't it?" Kibito asked frantically, excitement bubbling over.
Supreme Kai silently nodded.
Unbelievable.
Goku right now was simply in a league of his own.
The overwhelming ki radiating off Goku's body sent tremors rolling across the entire surface of Namek.
"So this is what this kid's really made of, huh?" Old Kai muttered to himself. "I have to admit — he's surprised me."
On Namek, Piccolo was absolutely dumbstruck. His mouth moved, but no words came out.
Are you guys even trying to keep this reasonable?
This is just embarrassing.
What am I even doing here?
I feel like I could get one-shotted right about now.
Frieza: "..."
Frieza was just as frozen as everyone else.
Because Frieza had never seen Super Saiyan 3 before. Not once.
Although Frieza couldn't sense ki, the way the planet itself was shaking beneath them was all the evidence he needed — this guy's power was nothing to take lightly.
"Th-This..." Frieza gaped.
"Frieza — this is my other transformation. Super Saiyan 3!" Goku said with a grin.
"Super... Super Saiyan 3?!" The corner of Frieza's mouth twitched violently.
"Now then — I'm coming at you. Brace yourself." Goku's smile widened, a quiet confidence settling over his face.
Whoosh!
Goku was done talking. He flickered and vanished from the spot, reappearing above Frieza at incredible speed.
The speed was so extreme that even Frieza barely had time to register what was happening.
CRACK!
Goku's hand shot downward, seizing Frieza by the head, and wrenched him upward.
WHAM! WHAM! WHAM!
Goku drove his fist into Frieza's face again and again, relentlessly.
Frieza felt like his face wasn't even a face anymore. He screamed in agony.
It was worth remembering — Goku had been reborn at the very last moment of the GT timeline.
By that point, Goku had pushed Super Saiyan 4 to its absolute limit.
You could even say that the Goku of the Shadow Dragon era had brought Super Saiyan 4 to near its maximum output.
In addition, the original GT Goku had been in a child's body — and that smaller body had meant reduced strength.
The Dragon Ball movie was a good reference point for how that worked.
But now, having been reborn into this new body, Goku had returned to adult size.
Even without a tail, his overall power had already reached thirty percent of his peak.
And as Goku and Frieza continued to fight, his strength had climbed even further — up to forty percent of his peak.
As for Frieza — even though he, too, had been reborn, even the Frieza before his rebirth had only just recently awakened his Golden form, and had barely had any time to master it.
If this had been the Frieza who came after the Tournament of Power, he might well have crushed this Super Saiyan 3 Goku without breaking a sweat.
