Chapter 62 - Chapter 62: Time Freeze

Watching Captain Ginyu suddenly blast off in his ship, Piccolo's brow furrowed slightly. He regretted not stopping him while he had the chance.

Mainly because it had simply never crossed his mind that their captain would take off at a moment like this.

How little do these people think of me?

"Alright — time for our little game to start!" Guldo stepped forward and fixed his cold gaze on Gohan and Krillin.

"Gohan — remember what we trained for on King Kai's planet?" Krillin said.

Gohan nodded.

"Good. Go — release everything you've got!" Krillin called out.

BOOM!

In an instant, energy erupted from both Krillin and Gohan, their battle power spiking at tremendous speed.

Jeice, Recoome, and Burter checked their scouters — and froze.

What?

How are these two this strong?

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Krillin and Gohan shot upward and broke into the open sky.

Then the two let fly from above.

Two energy blasts came screaming down toward Guldo below.

Guldo's face went white.

"Time Freeze!" Guldo barked the command and activated Time Freeze.

In the blink of an eye, the two blasts halted dead in midair.

Using the opening, Guldo scrambled out of the way and looked up at Krillin and Gohan with furious, humiliated eyes.

You two brats!

You almost made me look like a fool. I will not forgive this.

But when Guldo looked back up at the sky, he suddenly found the two he'd been fighting were gone.

Where did they go?

He cast around desperately — then spotted Krillin and Gohan in a completely different stretch of sky.

"How did they get all the way over there in a single instant?" Guldo stared, genuinely rattled.

BOOM!

Time resumed — and the blasts Gohan and Krillin had fired earlier crashed into the ground with a thunderous explosion.

Gohan and Krillin quickly registered that their attack had missed.

"He wasn't there anymore. How did he move so far in an instant?" Gohan asked, baffled.

"Over there — I have no idea either!" Krillin pointed in the direction Guldo had hidden. "Can this guy use Instant Transmission too?"

Piccolo's expression shifted slightly.

Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu were watching too, equally at a loss as to how Guldo had crossed that distance in a blink.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Krillin and Gohan flickered again, vanishing from Guldo's line of sight.

Guldo's face went pale.

Gone again!

How are these two brats so fast?

"Time Freeze!" Guldo gritted his teeth and triggered it again.

When time stopped this time, Guldo was stunned to find Gohan and Krillin were already right above him.

"How are these little monsters so fast?!" Guldo was starting to panic. "Damn it — Time Freeze is burning through my energy! I need to find cover, now!"

Guldo immediately bolted behind a nearby boulder.

When time resumed, Gohan and Krillin struck empty air again.

The two immediately released their senses to scan for Guldo's position.

"Over there!" Gohan pointed at the boulder.

Krillin looked. Both of them shot forward as streaks of light, racing toward Guldo.

"How are they finding me without scouters?!" Guldo's mind was spinning. He let out a shout and threw out his unique ability, locking Gohan and Krillin in place high in the sky.

In an instant — neither of them could move.

"Huff... huff..."

Guldo was breathing hard, drained.

"Damn it — I can't move!" Krillin gritted his teeth.

"What's happening?!" Gohan stared in disbelief.

Piccolo's expression shifted.

"Psychic powers?" Yamcha said in a low voice.

"Release!" Chiaotzu moved both hands, instantly reaching out with his own power — directing it at Gohan and Krillin to break the hold.

"You two brats — can't move now, can you?!" Guldo laughed triumphantly. "I'm going to kill you!"

In the distance.

Jeice, Recoome, and Burter watched in silence.

"Surprising — those two kids' battle power has cleared 30,000!" Jeice said, genuinely impressed.

"So that's why they had the nerve to come challenge us on our own planet," Burter said with a light laugh. "Still — barely over 30,000. Way out of their depth."

"Rare to see Guldo actually break out that paralysis technique. He must be rattled," Recoome said dismissively.

"Over 30,000 — that's already higher than Vegeta's," Jeice remarked.

"Vegeta — 'warrior race of Saiyans', what a joke — his battle power was only 18,000, wasn't it?" Burter scoffed.

"Exactly. That little battle power and they call themselves a warrior race?" Jeice echoed.

"I'll kill you both!" Guldo howled, telekinetically seizing a steel construction rod from the nearby debris and levelling it in the air, pointed straight at Krillin.

But just as Guldo was about to launch it, his eyes went wide — and his jaw dropped.

Because the two brats he'd bound were moving again.

I locked them down. How did they break free?!

"Ha — so I can undo his paralysis." Chiaotzu allowed himself a pleased little smile.

"Thank you, Chiaotzu!" Krillin called out.

"What?! That little one undid my bind?!" Guldo snapped his head around toward Chiaotzu.

Chiaotzu smiled wider, showing a row of perfect white teeth, and aimed both palms at Guldo's body.

"Ahh — ahh — AHHH!"

Guldo immediately doubled over screaming, clutching his stomach, dropping to the ground.

"I've got psychic powers too!" Chiaotzu said with a cheeky grin. "Your stomach hurts so bad you can't stand up now, doesn't it?"

Guldo's mouth was twitching, his face cycling through shades of grey.

Whoosh!

Krillin dove from above and drove a kick straight down onto Guldo's head.

"UGGHHH—!"

Guldo let out another agonized howl.

Rat-tat-tat!

Gohan pressed the advantage, landing a rapid-fire string of punches and kicks on Guldo.

Guldo was having an absolutely miserable time of it.

Bad enough his stomach was in agony — now these two brats were piling on as well.

BOOM!

Energy surged in Krillin's hands, and a massive Kamehameha Wave rolled downward in an instant.

With a thunderous blast, the energy engulfed Guldo completely — blowing him to pieces. There was nothing left.

The first fight: Krillin and Gohan win.
