Chapter 177 - Chapter 177: The World of Void? Grand Zen-Oh?

"Thank you," Gine said with a smile, taking a piece of the egg and tasting it.

Bardock simply gave a small nod without saying much, taking a piece and savoring it slowly.

Next, Goku cut another piece and brought it over to Chi-Chi, who was still busy in the kitchen.

Chi-Chi was deeply moved, her eyes misting over slightly.

Our Goku has finally grown up. He's become so considerate.

Goku then cut three more pieces and gave them to Gohan, Goten, and Videl, making sure everyone got a share.

After all that cutting, there were only two pieces of the Don-Don Bird egg left.

Goku looked at Vegeta and Trunks, then handed one of the pieces to Trunks with a smile. "Here you go, Trunks."

"Thanks, Uncle Goku!" Trunks said hurriedly, happily taking the egg.

"Piccolo, do you want a piece? It actually tastes pretty good," Goku asked, turning to Piccolo.

"We Namekians don't need to eat things like this. We only need water, but thank you for the offer," Piccolo said with a gentle smile and a polite refusal.

"Well then, I won't hold back!" Goku said. He popped the last piece into his mouth and chewed it thoroughly.

Raditz: "..."

Vegeta: "..."

Both Raditz and Vegeta's faces were dark, their eyes full of both rage and disbelief.

Are you really just going to ignore the two of us?

Everyone else got a piece, but you skipped right over us!

You could have at least left us one piece. This is too much!

A few veins popped on Vegeta's forehead. He vented his frustration by aggressively taking two large bites of his food.

Raditz was also rolling his eyes non-stop. He grabbed a chicken drumstick and gnawed it clean with a vengeance, as if he were biting Goku himself.

After tasting the Don-Don Bird egg, Goku and the others smacked their lips, but their expressions quickly turned to disappointment. They were all a bit speechless.

"It feels just like a regular chicken egg. Actually, it might not even be as good as a normal one," Goku said, scratching his head in confusion.

"Yeah, I agree... I think the wild mountain eggs we have are actually better. They have a richer flavor," Gohan added, giving his honest review.

"Is this really the egg that came from the Divine Dragon? That's kind of a letdown," Videl said, not knowing whether to laugh or cry. She hadn't expected a wish from the Dragon to turn out like this.

"It really is quite ordinary. Nothing special about it at all," Gine added, quietly wiping a bit of sweat from her brow. She also felt the egg didn't live up to the hype.

Beerus's mouth twitched. He acted like he didn't hear a thing and continued to bury his face in the other dishes. Inside, however, his heart was bleeding. He had actually used the Super Dragon Balls for such an ordinary egg.

Seeing the disappointed looks on everyone's faces, Vegeta and Raditz felt a lot better. Smug smiles appeared on their faces.

And here we thought it was some kind of legendary egg. Turns out it's not even as good as a wild mountain egg?

Looks like Beerus doesn't have much taste after all.

Vegeta thought about it and realized it made sense. In his previous life, Beerus had only taken two bites of a Don-Don Bird egg before losing interest. It was clear the flavor was nothing special.

Fortunately, the next dish—stir-fried eggs with chives—was brought out. The bright green chives paired with the golden eggs looked very enticing.

As soon as he tasted the stir-fried eggs with chives, Beerus's eyes widened in surprise. The flavor was wonderful.

The Don-Don Bird egg... can be eaten like this?

This is way better than just boiling it!

"Cook them all! Take the rest of the eggs and make them all into stir-fried eggs with chives!" Beerus said excitedly, bringing out the remaining eggs.

"There are other ways to make them, too," Chi-Chi said with a confident smile. "Like stir-fried with tomatoes, or with green onions, or green peppers... we can even make seaweed egg drop soup or hot and sour soup. They're all delicious."

"Make a little of everything! I want to try every single one!" Beerus said, his eyes sparkling with anticipation.

Chi-Chi readily agreed and headed back into the kitchen to get to work.

It was a happy meal for everyone. The atmosphere was warm, and the dishes on the table were quickly cleared away.

After eating, Beerus did exactly what he said he would—he went over to a lounge chair and took a nap, looking completely relaxed.

Fortunately, this time Beerus didn't sleep for long. He woke up after two hours and gave a massive yawn.

Goku and the others had already finished cleaning up and were sitting in the yard chatting.

"How long was I out? Did I oversleep?" Beerus asked, rubbing his sleepy eyes.

"You've been asleep for two hours, Lord Beerus," Goku said with a smile. "Are we heading out now?"

"We're off!" Beerus said, looking full of energy. He then added, "But before we go, let's go get Broly."

"I'll go call him. He should still be on the Sacred World of the Kai," Goku said, rubbing his hands together in anticipation.

"Go on then, and make it quick," Beerus said with a wave of his hand.

"Lord Beerus, should we call Frieza to come along too?" Whis suddenly asked.

"Is Frieza still training in that other dimension?" Beerus asked lazily, glancing over at Whis.

"Let me check," Whis said in his usual calm and gentle manner. He raised his staff, and the crystal ball at the top glowed with a soft, flowing light, showing a clear image of the distant dimension.

After a few seconds...

"Oh boy!" Whis gave his staff a light shake, and the light in the crystal ball faded. An enigmatic smile appeared on his face as he gave a polite suggestion. "Mr. Frieza is at a critical point in his training. Perhaps we should leave him be?"

"Doesn't matter," Beerus said with a dismissive wave. He didn't seem to have much interest in Frieza anyway. "One more or one less doesn't make a difference to me."

"We aren't bringing Frieza?" Goku asked, a flicker of surprise in his eyes. But he didn't push it and simply nodded. "Alright then. I'll go get Broly first."

"Go, go," Beerus said impatiently, waving him off.

Flash!

Before the words were even out of his mouth, a faint blue light enveloped Goku, and he vanished instantly, leaving only a small ripple of energy in the air.

Beerus turned his gaze toward Bardock and Vegeta. The sharp, Saiyan aura coming from them caught his attention for a moment. He tilted his head and asked, "Are you two coming as well?"

Bardock, his eyes as sharp as a hawk's, nodded without a second thought. It was as if the fires of battle were already burning silently around him.

Vegeta lifted his chin with the pride of a Saiyan prince and gave a firm nod.

"Fine," Beerus said simply, giving his approval.

The Sacred World of the Kai.

The sky was a pure, pale purple, filled with clouds of all shapes and sizes.

Flash!

With a burst of blue light, Goku appeared next to Broly without warning. The grass beneath his feet swayed slightly from the sudden movement.

Seeing Goku appear so suddenly, Broly's pupils shrank. Like a cat that had its tail stepped on, his muscles tensed up instantly. He hurriedly rolled up the picnic mat beside him and looked like he wanted to bolt.

Every time this guy shows up, it's never good news. He's definitely brought someone along for a fight!

"Broly, don't worry!" Goku said with a wide, friendly smile. He waved his hands to show he wasn't a threat. "I'm not here for a fight."

Broly let out a small sigh of relief, and his muscles slowly relaxed. He carefully spread the picnic mat back out on the soft grass, smoothing it out perfectly. Then he looked up at Goku with clear, somewhat confused eyes and asked in a low, gravelly voice, "Is something wrong?"

"Broly, you've been on the Sacred World of the Kai for a long time now," Goku said with a sincere invitation. "Do you want to come out and see the world for a bit?"

Hearing Goku's words, the Supreme Kai, Old Kai, and Kibito all began to shake with excitement. Their eyes turned red, and tears were practically welling up.

Goku, you really are a saint!

Are you finally going to take this powerhouse away?

Wait, no!

If it wasn't for Goku, Broly never would have come to the Sacred World of the Kai to cause trouble in the first place!

We definitely can't give him a 'good guy' card!

The three of them were having an internal battle, and the expressions on their faces were a sight to see.

"No!" Broly said without a second thought, shaking his head like a leaf. He gave a firm refusal and pointed to the pile of fruit and food beside him. "I have everything I need to eat and drink here. I don't want to move."

The tears the Supreme Kai and the others had just managed to hold back were now on the verge of bursting out again.

Broly, oh Broly... why do you have to be so stubborn about staying here?

"Broly, I know what you mean!" Goku said patiently. He crouched down so he was eye-level with Broly and spoke from his own experience. "But as a Saiyan, you should get out and see the world. When I was little, I lived on Mount Paozu and never wanted to leave, either. It wasn't until Bulma came looking for the Dragon Balls that I finally left... That was when I realized how big the world really is."

"I know how big the world is, and the universe too," Broly said, scratching his messy hair with a bit of pride. "I left Planet Vampa with Frieza and traveled through space for months. The universe is endless and huge."

Goku: "..."

Goku opened his mouth but found himself at a loss for words. His smile froze for a moment.

"The universe isn't exactly endless..." Goku said, quickly recovering. He scratched his head and gave a serious correction. "Universe 6 is right next to ours, you know."

Broly looked completely lost. He scratched his head again, clearly not understanding what Goku was talking about.

"Come on, Broly!" Goku grinned, showing off his white teeth as he reached out a hand to Broly. His voice was full of temptation. "Lord Beerus is taking us out to see the world. The world out there is amazing, and there are so many things you don't know yet."

"Things I don't know?" Broly blinked, a flicker of curiosity in his clear eyes.

"Have you ever seen a Dragon bigger than a whole planet?" Goku asked, lowering his voice with a look of anticipation.

Broly shook his head blankly, his eyes wide.

"Have you ever seen a God who can wipe out an entire universe with a single wave of his hand?" Goku asked, dropping another bombshell.

A God who can wipe out a universe with a wave of his hand?

Broly's mouth hung open, and he was speechless for a long time. His face was a mask of disbelief, as if he were hearing a fairy tale.

Is he joking?

"So, you should really come along," Goku said, stepping forward to pat Broly's solid shoulder. His voice was sincere. "Come see the wider world and the other universes."

Broly's resolve was clearly wavering. He looked at Goku, his fingers twisting together nervously, and a look of hesitation appeared on his face.

"Hehe!" Seeing this, Goku leaned in and whispered into Broly's ear, his voice so low only the two of them could hear. A mischievous grin played across his face. "To be honest, I have a selfish reason for bringing you along. If we run into someone we can't beat, the two of us can always use Fusion or Merge together."

"Fine... let's go then." A flash of excitement appeared in Broly's eyes. He finally made up his mind and gave a firm nod.

Goku laughed and reached out to pull Broly up from the ground.

The Supreme Kai and the others nearby were so excited they nearly jumped for joy. Their faces were masks of pure relief.

This powerhouse is finally leaving the Sacred World of the Kai!

But their faces quickly fell again.

We tried to persuade Broly a thousand times with those exact same words!

And yet, he never listened to a word we said!

But when Goku says it, he's convinced in just a few sentences. The difference is just too much!

"Actually, if you hadn't agreed, I was planning on knocking you out and just taking you anyway," Goku said as if he just remembered. He leaned in close to Broly and gave him a wide, toothy grin.

Broly: "..."

Broly's expression froze. He stood there like a statue for several seconds before it finally sank in. He couldn't help but shiver, and a cold sweat broke out on his back.

That's really going too far!

"Let's go!" Goku didn't care what Broly was thinking. He grabbed his arm, and with a flash of blue light, he prepared to use Instant Transmission.

Flash!

Before they left, Goku didn't forget to look back and wave to the Supreme Kai and the others. Then, he and Broly vanished from the Sacred World of the Kai.

In the blink of an eye, Goku and Broly were back at Mount Paozu on Earth.

The familiar scent of the mountain forest washed over them, and a few curious monkeys peeked down from the trees.

Seeing that Broly wasn't unconscious, Beerus raised an eyebrow in surprise. But he didn't care about the details and just gave a yawn.

"Alright, let's get ready to head out," Beerus said, standing up and brushing some non-existent dust off his clothes.

"Lord Beerus, I think I'll stay behind this time," Whis said in his usual calm and gentle way, giving his staff a light shake.

"Suit yourself," Beerus nodded, not objecting.

The group heading out to the other universes consisted of Goku, Broly, Bardock, and Vegeta.

Including Beerus, there were five of them in total.

"Whis, let me use the flight cube," Beerus said, his tone carrying a note of command.

"Of course, Lord Beerus." Whis gave his staff a light wave, and the crystal ball at the top glowed. A transparent flight cube materialized in front of them.

Goku and the others stepped into the cube one by one.

Only Broly looked at the strange cube with a face full of curiosity. He reached out to touch the surface, feeling the cool, hard texture. Then he spent a few moments stepping in and out of it like a child with a new toy, making little sounds of wonder.

"Stop playing around!" Beerus said, getting annoyed by the noise. He gave Broly a light smack on the head.

Broly jolted from the smack, snapping his head around. His eyes went wide as saucers as he glared intensely at Beerus. Suddenly, a thick, dark green aura erupted from his body. The sheer, violent force of his power caused the air around them to twist and vibrate. He was clearly beyond furious.

"What? You got a problem?" Beerus snorted. A strange, playful smile curled at the corners of his mouth. He looked at Broly with a mischievous glint in his eyes, watching him while radiating a faint but heavy pressure.

"Broly, wait! Don't do anything reckless!" Goku rushed forward and stood between the two of them, acting as the peacemaker. He spread his arms wide, trying his best to calm things down.

But Broly wasn't about to back down. His aura continued to surge, and his hair stood straight up, every strand crackling with energy. The fires of battle were burning in his eyes.

"Broly, you're no match for Lord Beerus in a one-on-one fight. You need to calm down," Goku urged, his voice filled with anxiety.

Goku knew Broly's temper all too well. Once he got angry, he was incredibly hard to control.

"Fusion!" Broly growled at Goku through gritted teeth. His voice was low and firm. He was dead set on having a real showdown with Beerus.

Goku: "..."

Goku hesitated for a moment. He frowned, his mind quickly weighing the risks.

The main problem was... they were on Earth.

If they fought here, one wrong move could easily blow the entire planet to pieces. If that happened, everyone was finished.

Plus, if they actually managed to piss Lord Beerus off, he might just decide to "Destroy" the Earth himself. There would be no way to fix a mess like that.

If the Earth exploded, everyone on the planet would die. This was no laughing matter.

"How about... next time? I'll fuse with you next time!" Goku said with a wide, awkward smile. He leaned in close to Broly's ear and whispered, his tone almost pleading. "We don't have the advantage if we fight on Earth. Let's wait for a better chance... we'll go to the Sacred World of the Kai with Lord Beerus. No one will bother us there."

Broly scratched his head, and the rage in his eyes slowly began to fade. He suddenly felt that what Goku said made a lot of sense—there really was no room to cut loose on Earth.

Flash!

The dark green flames around Broly vanished like a receding tide. His aura settled back to normal, though he still looked a bit frustrated.

"Everything's fine, Lord Beerus! Broly just acted on impulse," Goku said, waving to Beerus with a wide smile.

Beerus didn't even acknowledge Goku. With a hop as light as a feather, he jumped back onto the flight cube. He stood with his back to the group, lost in his own thoughts.

Goku pulled the still-pouting Broly into the cube, terrified that he might start more trouble.

When Bardock saw the massive aura Broly had just released, his expression shifted slightly. A look of surprise flashed in his eyes.

As expected of the Legendary Super Saiyan!

He really does possess an incredible amount of energy.

That kind of potential is truly terrifying.

Vegeta also gave Broly a long, intense look, his brow furrowed.

Why do I feel like this kid's power has jumped again?

If this keeps up, it won't be long before he surpasses me!

I can't have that. I need to work even harder on my training.

Whoosh!

The flight cube instantly broke through the atmosphere. With a sharp roar, it entered the vastness of space, and the world below them quickly shrank into nothingness.

"Lord Beerus, let's get one thing straight. If the God of Destruction from Universe 4 doesn't start anything, I'm not going to step in. I don't want to fight for no reason," Goku said, looking up at Beerus on top of the cube. His tone was very serious.

"Hmph. Of course," Beerus said with a shallow smile.

As if getting you to fight is going to be hard.

Those Gods of Destruction... every single one of them has a terrible temper.

All I have to do is give them a little nudge, and they'll start something themselves. This kid is way too naive—he's so easy to fool.

The flight cube raced through the vast universe. The distant stars blurred past them like shooting stars, creating beautiful trails of light.

The journey continued in silence as everyone was lost in their own thoughts.

After an unknown amount of time, the flight cube finally reached the edge of the universe and slowly entered the World of Void.

The World of Void was a massive expanse of nothingness.

There were no stars and no light. The entire area was larger than all twelve universes combined, giving off a sense of endless loneliness.

"What is this place? It looks so empty," Goku asked curiously, his eyes full of wonder.

"The World of Void," Beerus said flatly. There was a faint note of gravity in his voice.

"The World of Void?" Goku repeated the name. He had never heard of it before.

"To put it simply, it's an undeveloped universe. A wasteland of nothingness," Beerus added, his gaze fixed on the distant void.

"An undeveloped universe? It looks so huge. That's amazing!" Goku said, stunned by the sheer scale of the emptiness.

When Vegeta saw the vastness of the World of Void, he was also visibly moved. A look of awe flashed in his eyes.

After all, in his previous life, Vegeta had never actually been to the World of Void. This was his first time seeing such a massive, open space.

"It's also worth mentioning that if Grand Zen-Oh erases a universe, that universe becomes part of the World of Void," Beerus said, taking a deep breath. His voice was low and filled with a touch of reverence.
